problem reading dvd to the Windows

Hello

My name is Teresa, I have problems with the creation of windows dvd. I use Window 7 Home premium operating system on my Compaq Presario CQ57-339WM laptop PC. When I burn the dvd using the dvd and play their return, the movie starts to crash and jump after 20 minutes into the film. How can I solve this problem? I already screwed up 7 DVDs which are not rewritable, so I had to throw away them. Help, please... URGENT!

  • Problem reading DVD (SD-R6112) on the Satellite P10 804 under Xp Pro SP2

    My Toshiba DVD SD-R6112 (P10-804) now reads no DVD-r it just to burn with Nero 6.6
    The sysmtoms/anamnesis is therefore
    (1) it used to work fine. That is, that I never had a problem with playing on the P10 DVD, that I burned on the P10
    (2) DVDs burned before (before a few weeks ago) on the P10 continues to be readable on the P10
    (3) BUT DVD burned recently (5 or 10 last burned on 2 different types of media and two different burners) can be read in the drive of P10. The DVD is not yet recognized - it sometimes changes shape explorer DVD - RW CD - R, but that's all. No file, no nothing.
    (4) these same (unreadable by P10) DVD is very well played on two other DVD players I have (Freecom USB and divx standalone player). The drive can read the DVD (USB Freecom) CDFS file system reports, no free space (Nero 6.6.0.14 was said to not to allow future sessions) and all appear normal.

    The DVD driver is Microsoft 5.1.2535.0 1/7/2001. The DVD 1031 firmware revision.

    Nero was the only program running when the DVD is burned (no file to add). The verified OK after burning DVD.

    Hello

    I read in several journals, computer and on some sites that not all drives are compatible with all media. Sometimes, readers cannot read the media burned because of the 3rd party software that prevents access to the media or files.
    Generally, it is not easy to say why some readers read and write media and some readers cannot handle the same media. There are many factors.

    Sometimes, the firmware update will help you resolve problems with reading or writing.
    I found this SD-R6112 page with a driver for this device and the latest firmware version.

  • Satellite L20: Problem reading DVD - not synchronic sound and image

    Hi, I have a toshiba satellite L20 1.4 GHz CPU, 512 MB of ram which is only 4 months old. The problem I have is that when I try to play a DVD the image is nervous and the sound is still slower than the picture and can't seem to catch up with her. I have updated all drivers that needed updating, tried to change the video settings and tried different DVD software but it makes no difference.

    I've only tried the DVD a few weeks ago so I think it was always like that, it seems to play CD OK, although he struggles a little bit a few times when you start playback of the disc if I move the cursor.
    Does anyone know if this can be cured or I have to send again.

    Hello

    This problem appears on the original DVD's?
    I know that a similar problem could occur with some movie files or ripped DVD s.
    In this case the software that was used for the DVD copy was responsible for these issues. Sometimes after installing some codex, the problem has been resolved.

    I heard that this show on the Windows Media Center Edition has been resolved by updating the MPEG Encodeder.

  • Error read-only during the Windows XP networking with a Windows Vista-based computer

    Help, please.  We have set up a working group, the destop with Windows XP behaves as the server and laptop with Windows Vista is the other computer.

    We can share and open all files.

    The problem is with a mortgage loan software. (Chalice)  On the Vista computer, when you try to open a file, we get the error "the file is used by someone else.  You want to open the file in read-only Mode? "We have worked with their Tech Support who insists on the fact that it's a Microsoft set up the problem with the server computer.  In their diagnosis, they say that the cause may be "the server has locked files or you don't have full access to the records.  Their Technical Support remotely connected to our two computers and verified that we have the network set in place correctly-"everyone" has full control of the files.  Both computers have disabled the Windows Firewall.  How can I check if the file is locked by the server?  And why would he block specifically for mortgage loan software?  Any other troubleshooting help would be most appreciated.  They have guaranteed that this software can run on both Windows XP Vista computers & a set.

    Another question - when I right click on the folder that this error message, and then click Properties, on the general tab, attributes, the 'Read only' box is populated with a solid green box.  It can also be a check mark or a cache.  I deleted the solid green box and tick, apply settings, but still no luck.  What is the difference between the solid green box and the checkbox for that?

    Thank you to those who can help - we are really at a loss!

  • Problem reading DVD on TV

    I burned my project in a file.  It resulted in 2 files being created.

    Open DVD (12.8 MB file)

    VIDEO_TS (4.19 GB file)

    I've burned then that on a DVD

    The DVD plays on my PC, as soon as I load it. However, when I try to play on a DVD Player 2 folders appear on the TV screen and I can't get the DVD to play.

    I hope that this is a common problem with an easy answer.

    In your VIDEO_TS folder, you should have the complete structure of a DVD-video, including the IFO, BUP and VOB. This file is what the decoder DVD player must see and should launch correctly, showing either a main Menu, or if you were doing an AutoPlay DVD-Video, the video file should play.

    Now, I'm not sure I follow your workflow to 100%. Selected pre record Burn?

    Did you add any Menu set or create a DVD to AutoPlay?

    Exactly what software Windows did you use to burn the VIDEO_TS folder to disc?

    For general questions of playability, this ARTICLE might be useful.

    Good luck

  • Problem reading data via the Bluetooth Serial Port

    My request is meant to connect with a PC via Bluetooth.

    The PC runs a simple server that reads a string from the BlackBerry UTF and writes a UTF string in response.

    DataInputStream istream = connection.openDataInputStream();DataOutputStream ostream = connection.openDataOutputStream();

    System.out.print(istream.readUTF());

    ostream.writeUTF("Hello client");ostream.flush();

    ostream.close();istream.close();

    The sound written BlackBerry pin and reads the answer.

    DataInputStream istream = connection.openDataInputStream();        DataOutputStream ostream = connection.openDataOutputStream();ostream.writeUTF(Integer.toString(DeviceInfo.getDeviceId(), 16));ostream.flush();

    _rtf.insert(istream.readUTF());

    ostream.close();istream.close();

    The server reads and prints the PIN successfully, but the client raise EOFException at readUTF().

    What could be wrong?

    Solved. The server side must not empty its output stream.

  • Problem reading DVD and CD - RW on the Satellite 1800 412

    HI -.

    My laptop has recently stopped playing all DVD and CD - RW - ordinary CD work fine, but when I try to play a DVD or a CD - RW it whirs for a while, then I get the message "Windows cannot read this disk. The disc may be damaged, or it could be in a form that is not compatible with Windows.

    I use a Satellite 1800-412, Windows XP (home edition) Service Pack 2, and the DVD drive is a SD-C2502.

    I watched the updates of the firmware of my drive to http://www.toshiba-europe.com/storage/index.asp?nav=HOM&page=HOM&frame=home as this is often recommended for problems of this kind on this forum - but not all are available.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

    I read on some sites that doesn't update the firmware solves this problem.
    I recommend you to remove the drive from Device Manager.
    After restarting again the operating system should recognize the drive again. Perhaps this procedure will help you solve this problem.
