Problem remote access to a UCS 6120XP
Hello, I have 2 ucs 6120XP grouped and I can't access it remotely. Routing is OK, local ping is OK, but when I try to ping the virtual IP address or the ip address of management for each unit does not respond.
Any tips?
Kind regards
Alex Torres
Might be a silly, but is out of the band connected in the same vlan management port?

problem with remote access to NMH405
Hello
I have the NMH405 connected to my PC (windows7 and windows xp with IE and Firefox). I was able to connect to the platform of media locally and also via a remote access through ciscomediahub.com. However, remote access Island suddenly no longer works. There is an error message saying that the device is in offline mode.
I tried to unplug and turn off the mediahub that did not work. I have also resorted to reset the mediahub that did not help also. Even now when I access it locally, I can't even connect via the browser to configure the media center.
I would be grateful if someone could give advice on how to solve this problem.
Thank you!
just to close the loop on this. I called Cisco and their identified technical support it was a hardware problem. Since then, I exchanged for a new device. It works fine now.
Thank you very much!

Is the phone call received requesting remote access to solve the problem under Windows a scam?
I received a phone call requesting remote access to my computer to solve a problem with Microsoft Windows more precisely line X 5. The call came from Salt Lake City Utah, phone number 801-839-2099.
I got this phone call once a week.
Is it a scam?
It's a scam. Next time you receive such a call, tell the caller you declare calls to the police as harassment for fraudulent purposes... maybe they'll leave the call.

Problems with Windows 7 Pro Remote Access
I'm on a Windows 7 Pro machine, but it is connected to a working network.
I'm trying to access Windows 7 Pro machine to my parents at home.
I went through These Instructions. We have created a password for one of the user accounts. I checked the name of the computer (there is no listed area). We confirmed that remote access has been enabled and allow remote access has been verified in the firewall settings.
However, when I start "Remote Desktop connection" on my computer and put their computer name in the box, I get a message that it cannot find the computer. Then, the message indicates that the computer cannot belong to "the network specified." But there is no specified network, and I see no where to do it.
In addition, it is possible that my work security settings prevent me from remote accessing another computer?
Last question: if I used the Fusion of the virtual machine on my Mac, with Windows 7, I can remote access to another computer?
Real technique. The problem boils down to the IP address. Your computer probably has an IP of 192.168.1.8 or something like that. But the router any fact domestic in the world. So when you want to connect to the remote computer, you must use the IP public face (which the internet service provider home assigns to your router/home, not that of your router assigns to your computer). But then, you're always short because now you have at home, but you have to tell the House what PC actually send this letter too. It's like an envelope with an address half. Port forwarding it tells the final step which PC should receive the message.
But yes I agree they could at least put a link or an explanation.

Remote access server problem ASA5510
Hello guys,.
I have a problem with ASA5510 configured as a remote access server. We use the client VPN in Windows XP. Look at the requirements I see no problem, but when I try to connect to the server it doesn't open the negotiation of VPN. I had the problem like this before, but at least I saw the traffic hitting the ASA. Now, I don't see anything hitting the device. I enclose the current configuration of the SAA. The VPN client on my laptop is configured correctly. Thank you in advance!
RVR
Hello
Happy to help and thanks for the note.
This command is not required, but 90% of deployment I've seen has this configured command and is the default value for the SAA. In a Word, what this command is open to IKE and IPSEC ports and also does not check ACL entering ASA for IPSEC traffic.
In case if you do not have this command enabled, you must configure inbound ACL to allow IKE, IPSEC and text clear remote access VPN traffic after IPSEC packets get decrypted on the SAA.
Kind regards
Arul

Problems with remote access IPSec VPN
Dear Experts,
Kindly help me with this problem of access VPN remotely.
I have configured remote access VPN IPSec using the wizard. The remote client connects to fine enough seat, gets the defined IP address, sends the packets and bytes, BUT do not receive all the bytes or decrypt packets. On the contrary, the meter to guard discarded rising.
What could be possibly responsible or what another configuration to do on the SAA for the connection to be fully functional?
It can help to say that Anyconnect VPN is configured on the same external Interface on the ASA, and it is still functional. What is the reason?
AnyConnect VPN is used by staff for remote access.
Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello
So if I understand correctly, you have such an interface for LAN and WAN and, naturally, the destination networks you want to reach via the VPN Client connection are all located behind the LAN interface.
In this case the NAT0 configuration with your software most recent could look like this
object-group, LAN-NETWORKS-VPN network
network-object
network-object
network-object
network of the VPN-POOL object
subnet
destination of LAN-NETWORKS-VPN VPN-NETWORKS-LAN static NAT (LAN, WAN) 1 static source VPN-VPN-POOL
Naturally, the naming of interfaces and objects might be different. In this case its just meant to illustrate the purpose of the object or interface.
Naturally I'm not sure if the NAT0 configuration is the problem if I can't really say anything for some that I can't see the configuration.
As for the other question,
I have not implemented an ASA to use 2 interfaces so WAN in production environments in the case usually has separate platforms for both or we may be hosting / providing service for them.
I imagine that there are ways to do it, but the main problem is the routing. Essentially, we know that the VPN Client connections can come from virtually any public source IP address, and in this case we would need to default route pointing to the VPN interface since its not really convenient to set up separate routes for the IP address where the VPN Client connections would come from.
So if we consider that it should be the default route on the WEBSITE of the ASA link, we run to the problem that we can not have 2 default routes on the same active device at the same time.
Naturally, with the level of your software, you would be able to use the NAT to get the result you wanted.
In short, the requirements would be the following
- VPN interface has a default route, INTERNET interface has a default route to value at the address below
- NAT0 between LAN and VPN interface configuration to make sure that this traffic is passed between these interface without NAT
- Interfaces to special NAT configuration between LAN and INTERNET which would essentially transfer all traffic on the INTERNET interface (except for VPN traffic that we have handled in the previous step)
The above things would essentially allow the VPN interface have the default route that would mean that no matter what the VPN Client source IP address it should be able to communicate with the ASA.
The NAT0 configuration application would be to force ASA to pass this traffic between the LAN and VPN (pools) for VPN traffic.
The special configuration of NAT then match the traffic from LAN to ANY destination address and send to the INTERNET interface. Once this decision is made the traffic would follow the lower value default route on this interface.
I would say that this isn't really the ideal situation and the configuration to use in an environment of productin. It potentially creates a complex NAT configuration such that you use to manipulate the traffic instead of leave the mark of table routing choice in the first place.
Of course, there could be other options, but I have to test this configuration before I can say anything more for some.

Problem with ASA 5505 VPN remote access
After about 1 year to have the VPN Client from Cisco connection to an ASA 5505 with no problems, all of a sudden one day it stops working. The customer is able to get a connection to the ASA and browse the local network for only about 30 seconds after the connection. After that, no access is available to the network behind the ASA. I have tried everything I can think of to try to solve the problem, but at this point, I'm just banging my head against a wall. Anyone know what could cause this?
Here is the cfg running of the ASA

Problem with remote access VPN
Hello
I installed a remote access VPN on my firewall ASA5505 via the ASDM Assistant.
I can successfully connect with the Cisco VPN client. My firewall also shows me the VPN session and shows the Rx packets. However, Tx packets remain 0, so no traffic is getting out. My ASA5505 is configured as a router on a stick with 25 different VLAN. I want to restrict traffic to one VLAN specific using a card encryption.
When I run a command to ping t on my connected Windows box, the firewall log shows me the following message:
"Unable to find political IKE initiator: outside Intf, Src: 10.7.11.18, Dst: ' 172.16.1.1
"This message indicates that the fast path IPSec processing a packet that triggered of IKE, but IKE policy research has failed. This error could be associated calendar. The ACL triggering IKE could have been deleted before IKE has processed the request for initiation. "This problem will likely correct itself."
Unfortunately, the problem is correct.
The "sh cry isa his" and "sh cry ips its ' commands show the following output:

I really have no idea what's going on. I installed a remote access VPN countless times, but this time it shows me the error as described above.
Hi Martijn,
just a few quick thoughts:
-is your ok NAT exemption, i.e. ensure that the return traffic is not NAT' ed.
-Make sure that there is no overlap crypto ACL
-When connected, make a package tracer to see what is happening with the return packages.
for example
packet-tracer in the interface within the icmp 10.7.11.18 0 0 172.16.1.1 detail
(where is the name of the interface on which 10.7.11.18 resides)
This will show you all the steps the rail package in-house (routing, nat, encryption etc.) so it should give you an idea of what is happening, for example when it comes to the bad interface, nat evil rule, wrong entry card crypto etc.

Problem with remote access VPN on ASA 5505
I currently have a problem of an ASA 5505 configuration to connect via VPN remote access by using the Cisco VPN Client 5.0.07.0440 under Windows 8 Pro x 64. The VPN client will prompt you for the user name and password during the connection process, but fails soon after.

The ESP vpn remote access problem
I have vpn for remote access configured on the router from cisco 2901. Everything works well except 2 3g ipad. When I connect with the ipad 3g network it connects, but it is impossible to access the resources of the company. I talked to my phone provider and they told me that they have some problems NAT with ESP. and advised me to force vpn clients to use ports udp 500 and 4500. How do I configure my router to get there?
Thanks in advance
Hello
ISAKMP using UDP 500 port for connection management (Phase 1).
NAT - T (used when they are peripheral nat between two VPN end points) using UDP 4500 port.
So now your NAT - T router is configured by default, all you have to do is if you have an ACL on the external interface allow this traffic (Isakamp and NAT T) on some of its latest IOS versions, you do not have to apply the ACL that default VPN traffic (encrypted traffic bypasses the ACL).
If your condition is performed by default, great right thing! You can leave your phone provider, you are ready for the test.

WHS 2011 Media - Web remote access - a problem with the media of files appearing not
I'm running WHS 2011. When I connect via a remote web access and media sharing is turned on, I can see the three categories in the window 'Library' - 'Browse images', 'Browse music' and "browse videos". I have several songs in the "ServerFolders\Music" folder on the server and I used to see the album art in the home screen remote Web access under 'Browse music. " Now, the icon 'Browse music' on the screen of remote access Web says "0 songs" even if I have not moved or removed all the songs in the folder ServerFolders\Music on the WHS machine. If I go to the "Shared folders" window and open the 'Music' it on access web remote, all the music files are listed as expected.
I don't know how to reset or refresh the window "Multimedia library" in order to recognize the music files I have on the server.
Please advise...
Thank you for your help.

Remote access over Internet connection problems
I'm trying to figure out how to get remote access to work via the internet. I used to work and it works very well, but we are also on a local network. I have sent the invitation to someone and the password, but it does not connect. I tried the following:
- Computer Management / Services / connection manager (manual) remote access & routing and remote access (manual)
- Windows Firewall / allow a program... / Exceptions / Allow: Remote Assistance & routing and remote access
- Disabled Norton Firewall
I have alos got my friend to make sure that its parameters match mine. And I still have no success. Does anyone have other ideas? Alternatively, it won't work because I am trying to connect via the internet?
Hi nataar,
Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forums.
- What software do you use for remote access?
- What is the version of Windows installed on the computer?
If you use Remote Desktop connection in Windows Vista, try the procedure below
Log your PC computer with an account that has administrator privileges.
Step 1 open the start menu, right-click on "My computer" and select "Properties". A window with the options and details of the computer opens on your screen.
Step 2 go to the 'Remote' tab at the top of the window "Properties".
Step 3 check the box for the option "Allow users to connect remotely to this computer" in the section "Remote Desktop" in the Properties window.
Step 4: click on the 'Apply' button at the bottom of the window to save the changes and enable the remote desktop. Outside users will now be able to access your computer over the Internet.
Enabling remote desktop access to your computer
To activate the Office remote connections to your computer, follow these steps:
- Click Start, right-click computer, and then select Properties.
- Under tasks, click settings on the remote control and confirm the user account control prompt.
- Select allow connections from computers running any Version of remote desktop. (Version 'more safe' only works on using IPSec security, and on these networks business networks, you probably will not be allowed to change these settings in any case).
- By default, all administrator-level accounts can connect to the computer. If you want to grant remote desktop access to a limited number of users, click Select users, add, advanced, find now and then find the desired name in the search results section. Double-click it. To add another name, click Advanced and find now again.
- Click OK to close the dialog boxes.
NOTE A password must be set on a user account before the user can connect to the remote computer.
At this point, you must do two things to make sure that remote desktop has been implemented correctly:
- Click Start, Control Panel. Under Security, select allow a program through Windows Firewall and confirm the user account control prompt. On the Exceptions tab, find the Office remotely in the list of Exceptions and do not forget, that it is checked. If it isn't, check it out. On the general tab, make sure that block all incoming connections is not checked.
- Use another computer to test the remote desktop before you get involved in the Internet game. Follow the instructions in the second part of the chapter to open the desktop client remotely on another computer on your network. As the host name, type the name of the computer you just put up. Make sure that you can connect on your own local network before continuing.
