Problem screen or tower?

Hello world

I started having problems with my screen remains empty at the start. The only way I can solve this problem is by disabling the Tower a few times until the screen lights up.

I plugged the screen on my laptop and the picture comes on.

I also put the computer to sleep after the screen worked but had the same problem with the blank screen.

Can you please let me know your thoughts on what this might be?

My computer was purchased in 2011 so it gets old.

Thank you very much

Shaun

It will not be the screen of the cable because both work very well when it is connected to another computer.

If you are looking to a trick question, maybe the card video or port on the video card even.

Turn it on and try a setting update driver for the video card on the site of the device manufacturer, but do not put the computer to sleep immediately. Reboot several times after the update to see if it's ok.

If it turns out to be ok until you put the computer to sleep, see here. You can get some clues...

  • Satellite C660 26 x - problem screen (gamma)

    Hello

I have a problem with my Toshiba C660 26 X display. Since the first time I used it, the gamma seems to be high.

This isn't a matter of brightness or contrast. The screen is just "too bright" and I lose a lot of contrast in bright colors.

I tried to use the tool "calibrate the colors" of Windows 7, but even if I chose to lowest level of gamma, the screen stay too bright.

The only way I found to solve this problem is to manually adjust the gamma in the nVidia control panel. BUT: I have to do this each time I restart the computer. (It seems that Windows wants to manage display settings, even if I set up the nVidia control panel to be the only tool who manage the gamma settings).

    So here are my questions:

    * How to solve this problem?

    * Is it possible to configure the display of directly at the level of the material (not through any kinds of software) to solve this problem? I mean just like you can adjust a laptop-screen by pressing the buttons.

    * Does anyone know how to force Windows to let the good nVidia control panel control display settings?

Furthermore, I can't find your useful support. I had to search a lot to find out how to contact someone in your support. Now I have to write in a language other than my native language on an international forum, and I hope that someone will be able to help.

    Hello Jay

Satellite A200 is old model of laptop, and I can imagine that the fan cooling and air conditioning grill are full of dust.
Before changing anything your laptop must be completely disassembled and cleaned. I did this several times in the past and I must say that my books were much quieter than before. After the cooling system will work properly and laptop will be able to take a breath.

I put t know if you know someone who can help you with this. Please don't spend your money for new parts. At a first professional portable make cleaning.

  • Problem screen screen LCD Tecra A4

    everyone,

I dropped my TECRA A4 several times, not bad and a few problems with the display began. It flickered a lot initially, with fine monochrome strips flashing on the screen, and then once he hit Windows would be nice. But then I opened yesterday, and something serious had happened: the screen was completely black, but he had some very thin bars (like 3 pixels) passes through it. Everything else was black at the beginning, and then after 5 or 10 minutes of being on it would be clear until I got a screen white & gray snowy, but still no picture.

The fact that he is not completely black but shows a response makes me think that it could be fixable, the LCD display has completely turned off. I tried indiscreet open the LCD screen to search for cables loose, but don't see anything apparent.

I wonder if there is anything else I can try, or if I should look for a replacement. The rest of the computer seems to work normally.

    any help would be appreciated

    Thank you

    Wes

    Hello

    I agree with Akuma
Looks like a hardware problem, but it of difficult to say how much would be affected
I mean there are various devices that may malfunction. That is to say LCD or graphics card

If you want you can connect an external monitor and could check if the same question would be visible on the second screen
But buddy note; It wouldn't change the fact that the ASP must be contacted for fix

    Good luck

  • Satellite S1800-814: startup problem, screen is black

I know there are several comments here to point out how the black screen at startup. I think my problem is similar, but I need a few more details.

A year ago, a friend of mine gave me his old laptop, a Satellite 1800-814. I use it mainly as a typewriter and check my email. He could never operate on battery only, longer than for a few seconds, but I've always used it with the connected power cable, no problems. Sometimes it wouldn't start, and I had to unplug the power supply for a while to turn on.

I was visiting someone and wanted to connect to the Internet. They had this USB wireless modem, that I have it plugged into my Toshiba. During installation, the PC froze, and I had to reboot by pressing the button market for some time. He did restart, but at a standstill. I restarted again, sometimes had it works, sometimes not, and ultimately he entered its current state: with the power cord plugged in, it will start, I'll hear the processor fan (or whatever it is) work and the lights of the battery and the power will be green at the bottom of the keyboard.

The screen, however, is black, there not all sounds and ceilings and the insert key lights do not react to what whether - they are permanently gone.

What is happening here? I tried to remove the battery, give it some time and then reinsert, but in vain. I also tried to start it upward with the USB connected modem, no luck there either. What I do have an appointment with the Doc of PC, or can I fix it?

I have really important documents there. Grateful for any help!

Your description is quite long, but I'm still confused. You mixed several questions in the description of the problem and there is no stated clear what happens when you press the button walk / stop.

    Power is ON?
Is there a HARD disk activity?
You see something on the screen?
What happens if you use the power supply only (without the battery inside)?

Sorry, but it is not easy to tell what can be the problem. The best thing you can do is to contact someone with enough experience PC. The person who has the laptop on the desk and try to start this laptop can be more specific about possible problems.

    Hello

This happens to you with a game or all games?

Do a right click and go to the shortcut properties and find the box where it says 'run' pass the value normal in full screen.

If this does not help, configure the following setting and check:

    (1) right-click on the game shortcut icon, click on properties.
    (2) on the shortcut tab, go to run.
    (3) in the drop-down list, select expand.
    (4) click on apply to apply the setting.
    5) click Ok to confirm the change.

Also, I suggest you try changing the hardware acceleration, here are the steps to change the hardware acceleration.

    1. Select start > Control Panel
    2. in the window of the Control Panel, click appearance and personalization
    3. click on personalization > display settings, and then click Advanced settings.
    4. go in the Troubleshooting tab, and then click on change settings.
Note: The settings will be disabled if the graphics card driver does not support disabling hardware acceleration.
    5. move the hardware acceleration slider until it is one notch to the right of None. It is the basis of acceleration.
    6. click OK twice, and then close the window.

Could someone help me please?  I also had problems with Vista HP x 64 being slow and frozen screen and/or applications by pressing the cursor.  A big thank you to anyone who will take the time to help me.  Have a nice day :-)

    Hello

You did changes to the computer before the show?

Change the location of the download folder and then try to open it and check if you can access the records.

Method 1: I suggest that you follow the steps to fix the access denied error and check if this may help:

Troubleshoot "access denied" when opening files or folders

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-access-denied-when-opening-files-or-folders

Method 2: In order to solve the problems frozen system question, I would say you put the computer to boot and check what third-party application is causing the problem:

Note: after a repair, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

  • Problem: Screen resolution & Lan adapt.

    Problem 1: Screen Resolution.
First of all start, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Second boot, Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit. Then I didn't work as it used to be. Now using, Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. After this install and reinstall, I was confused and didn't know what was my original using bits. : S (supposed to be 32-bit)

Okay, so I was trying to backup D: drive and tries to start and do a clean install from disk wins7. But unfortunately, I had my iso installed with Windows7 Home Premium 64 - bit. FYI, I didn't know what Wins7 bit iso has been in the cd, so I just started it and installed with this 64-bit cd.

Then I tried to change my screen resolution. There were two options: 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768. I changed it to 1024 x 768, but it will not work. It's weird. I went to Device Manager and checked on the Image adapter: Standard VGA graphics adapters.
    Problem 2: The Lan adapter.
Cable connected to the modem, it flashes. but I could not simply go online, and I didn't know why. Is it lack of the new wins7? Or my adapter lan was broken?

  • After effects CC 2015 redraw problems screen while the region of interest are open

    Hello

I posted this problem to Adobe twice now via the bug report, but both times I don't have any kind of response, help, acknowledgement of receipt by mail that I presented in fact anything and I can't find this particular report anywhere on the adobe site.

I also tried Googling this question but couldn't find anyone complaining about this. But maybe it's because the region of interest may not be a tool that uses a lot of people.

I work in the gaming industry. Using After effects to create resources of game, entertainment, etc. and also using AFX export final goods for developers. I use a lot area of interest during this process.

My question is present in all AE CC 2015, starting with the first versions and is present in the latest version. In CC 2014, it works very well, and in all the computers in the studio 2015 CC question is exactly the same as in my computer. Also tried in front of my computer at home and it's the same thing.

At the same time I got the two CC 2014 and 2015 installed first, he was handsome and in 2015 it is buggy

A problem like this. What region of interest is selected, and I draw a rectangle of the region. When I click and hold on one of the edges of the region, at the same time all screen disappeared and is not refreshing until I have let go of the mouse button. So when I just want to crop and a few graphcis export a composition, I need to click the edge, the slide and blindly let her go and then see if its properly positioned. If this isn't the case, I need to move again, blindly again.

I tried to change the graphics card drivers, changing the quick previews in end, adaptive, tweaking a lot of preferences, but it's the same thing every time.

This isn't exactly a critical problem and is not compromising a stable demand, but it's annoying nevertheless. This process takes longer, then it should.

Below are the screenshots that I presented at Adobe when bug report. It is a presentation of what it looks like.

    https://DL.dropboxusercontent.com/u/836611/AE_BugReport_screenshots.zip

Can anyone else confirm if you have this problem, and if you have it and found a solution.

I was hoping that if I post a discussion here and a lot of people the confirm maybe Adobe would do something.

I must say that CC 2015 is one of the worst and least stable/functional after effects versions I have all worked with. So many bugs that are wasting time and energy.

    Thank you

    Nenad Ahmed

This bug has been fixed in the Ae latest version 13.8 - I remember he read somewhere, in any case, have a look here:

  • Inspiron 15R N5110 problem screen (purchased on 11/07/12)

My laptop screen will stop randomly and instead watch of dozens of fast-moving, horizontal, lines covering the entire screen of color. I wish I could post the video that I took with my iphone today showing exactly what happens, but I don't know how or if she is still allowed. The functions and I have to close it manually with the power button. As soon as I re-boot, everything works fine, until it does it again. Sometimes, it is once a day, sometimes several times a week. I understand that it is not good to stop very often in this way.  I do not have anything else that surfing the web, shopping, electronic control, watching videos online (ONLY for the reputable sites), etc. I have just this week learned to download photos and videos on Facebook. Nothing heavy. I'm not comfortable to Dell for repair of shipping my laptop because I have so many personal financial information on this subject. I have a program for the protection of password that I can set to open only with a master password.  I don't really know how is there to take to make meetings of Dell US support for this phone number and would NOT deal with the support of foreign countries.  I did not buy home warranty (probably should have in posterior view). Bought at Walmart.

I am SO disappointed. My husband has a Dell laptop old of 10 years who never gave him a minute of boredom. That's why I went with Dell. My last laptop is HP and it started freezing randomly. I even had my nephew, who worked for the support work for the top level HP on it and she was not yet set.  It used to be a gateway. I run up-to-date anti-virus (Microsoft Essentials), Malwarebytes, defragmentation and disk cleanup. I did several searches on Google using words and phrases that are different and have not yet find something to solve my problem.

Another weird thing: when I have it on my knees (I use a good quality cooling block) and go put, it usually gives me a slight tingling sensation on my thumbs along the silver border (I guess it's metal any) around the keyboard as I'm going to put it down. Even if I'm trying to be very responsible in taking care of my electronics, my husband thinks I have a negative aura that affects the operation of electronics. Laughing out loud!

I can just afford to buy another computer laptop so soon after buying it. If all goes well, someone has knowledge of it and can point me in the right direction for a fix.

    Thanks in advance!

    Lisa

Yes, you can switch to a guarantee on site during the initial warranty period.  You'll have to ask about the price, it's about $100 more for purchase;  I guess it's more like twice after the purchase.

Disk with a hot fault or controller issue?

Covered by the 3 year warranty so I sound Dell once the tests have completed.

I was just wondering what I'm against here, bit cheesed off because I expect the system to continue, because the RAID 1 configuration is sold.

  • Problem screen on Satellite P500

When I start my laptop I can´t nothing appears on my screen... I have to tilt the screen on 30 degrees.
After a few minutes, I can open the full screen.

Sorry, but your ad is a bit confusing.
    > I can´t nothing appears on my screen
    Display is completely black?
    > I have to tilt the screen on 30 degrees.
Why? What happens when you do this?
    > After a few minutes, I can open the full screen.
Does that mean exactly? You can open it, but you don't see anything?
