  I have created a container, initialized the system settings source in CAD ($INITIAL_EXTRACT_DATE = 01/01/2008, $LAST_EXTRACT_DATE = 01/01/2008) and performance 'Human resources 11.5.10' plan transaction. One of the tasks (SDE_ORA_PayrollFact) was performed too long. When I analyzed the log file I saw SQL code with strange condition:

  In a mapplet there was a SQL override in condition:
  where w_payroll_f.last_update_date > = $$ LAST_EXTRACT_DATE
  
  So where the parameter $LAST_EXTRACT_DATE value was taken?
  
  Several other in the settings SDE_ORA_PayrollFact.txt $INITIAL_EXTRACT_DATE = 01/01/1970, $LAST_EXTRACT_DATE file = null.
  Please, explain the DAC and Informatica algorithm for initialization of the settings!
  
  How can I set these settings to get the desired result, $LAST_EXTRACT_DATE = 01/01/2008?
  That the level of the initialization parameter has the highest priority?

  Alina,
  You seem to have taken the right steps. You have created a custom container (as it should) and have customized the values there.
  However, I have a strange feeling that your execution plan is not looking at your custom container. Look at the subject areas associated with the title of your implementation plan. They should be referred to your custom container. If this isn't the case, yet its reading of the values out of the OTB one.

  If this is the case, associate your custom container for the EP SAs AND re - build the EP.

  As the LAST_EXTRACT_DT is concerned, it is a setting that DAC would provide before calling infa workflows. If you charge for the first time, it will be null. In incremental mode, you will see the value as seen in the Setup-> data sources-> tab Update Dates.

  However, when this particular value (the internal representation of this value DAC) is zero, the DAC server should be running the command of full load. Inspect the execution history and ensure that full load control is one that is running. If so, its worth looking into the sql session substitute and/or the map itself to see how this parameter is used.

• Cannot set COM parameters in NI VISA Interactive Control

  Hello everyone,

  I made a custom pcb that communicate constantly with the pc via RS232 (this is a one-way communication from the device to the LabView). I followed the example of serial communication and the .vi seems to work very well via the loopback test, but when I try to read the real signal from the turntable there is zero byte available at the port.

  I used the block VISA Config to set up communication (9600 bps, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, no stop character) and the block size of the buffer, but in interactive of Visa OR the serial port control is configured with the transmission buffer and receive buffer sizes to 0 and to search for a character of endpoints (line break) on the bed. I tried changing the settings and I get a message "no error", but when I apply the changes and close the port window, they are returned to the default values.

  This could be the reason why I get no data in the buffer? How can I change the settings for interactive control?

  I see nothing in this dialog box that aims to "save changes".  I don't see that to apply to which probably applies only while you have this open test session.

  If you do not want to change the 'default' settings to a port, do you with Max when you click the port.  Change a setting here, and you can click on save.  I would never recommend to do.  For me, the VI should be the setting of the parameters.

  It shouldn't matter anyway.  Set the parameters in your VI will overwrite everything that comes as default values by Windows, or MAX.

  The use of the character of endpoint has nothing to do with the question of whether the bytes to the port there.  The stop (if enabled) character is a method to tell when a reading VISA will come back with data.   A VISA read returns with data every time that:

  1. the stop character arrives at the port, if it has been activated.

  2. the number of requested bytes returns (and asking for zero byte means that it returns immediately with nothing.)

  3. the timeout has expired.

  Have you tried to see if your device sends data using another terminal Windows of the program which is not LabVIEW?  Used to come with Hyperterminal of Windows, but it disappeared.  I don't know what I would recommend instead.

  Good so I called Verizon and they were confused at first but after being on the phone for a while with a very useful technology, they understood him out and set up my email for me.  It turns out that I have to use the user name that is already registered on the phone, so the guy that I bought username.  They wiped out its old email (I hope, you just don't lose all your emails wherever you are) accounts and set mine to and let me change the password.  Everything works now, just waiting to get my thinkpad broke stupid of the STI in order to update and sync with my outlook calendar.

• How to set the parameters of width image scroller

  I followed a tutorial on how to build an image thumb wheel. In this tutorial the scrolling of the image extends from one side of the stage to the other, i.e. flash to the edge. I want to shorten in width, as 50 pixels or the other side of the stage. How to set these parameters? What would be a line of code to cut where I want? Here's what I have for the construction of the wheel:

  Chances are that you only need to add a mask for the scroller object.  Create a rectangle that is as wide as you want the thumbs on the stage that it becomes a movieclip/sprite and assign it an instance name.  Then assign it just like a mask for scrolling using the: scroller.mask = masksInstanceName;

  You may need to adjust the code of a scroller for use limits of the mask instead of the scene if it currently specifies limits for scrolling.

• Problem setting transition duration first pro cs4. Is this a bug?

  I have made a project of first pro cs4 and I'm having problems setting the duration of transitions between clips. I have my default transion set to cross dissolve them and 15 frames in length. When I try to lengthen, it seems that first makes two transitions in instead of a longer one. So, if for example I got a clip with a dip to black when I extend more than 15 default images to say 30 images I get two separate transitions one after the other instead of a long. I know it's difficult to understand so I downloaded the video on youtube. If fast forward you to the minute 01:20, you will see the latest bland given away with a dip to black transition and the you'll be right flash a bit after the last light disappears. I hope someone can help me solve this problem, as I'm completaly lost. Thank you :-)

  Work waaay too hard at this, dude.  Just use the default chained.  It gives you good fade to the top using all 24 images, no adjustment necessary.

  I'm trying to set the parameters of the justification of a paragraph using a different Set of IJustificationStyle accessor methods, but the paragraph does not reflect the changes I put in the Set accessor methods. I can see using the IJusificationStyle-> GetWordspace method that the value has been changed.

  I tried to recompose the wax using IFramelistComposer-> RecomposeThruNthFrame() method after setting the values, but still the paragraph will not reflect the change in values.

• Problem setting up base appeal of the DLL (win32 API?) for the control of coherent laser Verdi-G

  I'm trying to set up a call to the DLL to control a coherent laser Verdi-G.

  I can't know the right way to set up calls. In the attached Demo.cpp, there is a function "RunTests". It's kinda my final goal. Functions send some commands to query the device. I'm going to need to send commands like this (along with several others, some of which take arguments... but I think I can understand that on mine)

  My problem is getting started. I can't even talk about the device. I tried a few different ways to set up the call to the DLL, but they have always will plant the computer. I don't know if I am missing a few parts such as the initialization of a method to speak via USB or other parts.

  I added my own .vi tries as well as some of the .c, the .cpp & the .h files associated provided with laser control software. I may have missed the relevant records; I'm happy to add them if someone sees a necessary file / referenced.

  Any help would be appreciated.

• LaserJet M1212nf: Problems setting up wireless printing

  I can set up to print from my laptop with a USB connection to the printer. I want to be able to print when away from my office, so have tried for 2 years, on and off, to get my printer to print wireless. I spent probably 10 + hours trying to get this set up. In the end, I always end up having to reinstall the printer with the same old USB connection.

  It drives me crazy. I'm a tech writer for a society of software and very savvy in computer science. However, my non-techie family have all managed to set up wireless printing at their home in 5 minutes or less with different brands of printers.

  Here are the steps that I followed, although I also tried many variations, like trying with my USB cable connected or disconnected.

  (1) uninstall the current installation of the printer (USB).

  (2) on the printer itself, make sure that the settings > network settings are the default values.

  (3) using the latest drivers and installation .exe from the HP site, start a new installation of the printer.

  (4) when you are prompted, select "wireless."

  RESULT: even if my firewall is turned OFF, search and indicates that he is there any printer on the network. (Huh? Which network?)

  (5) try again once and this time select "Network Setup."

  RESULT: even if my firewall is turned OFF, search and says that it cannot detect a network.

  If the wireless installation requires a network, but network installation does not cause a network to install, I don't know where to go from here.

  (6) I also tried downloading and installing the ePrint utility, but when I'm at halfway through the installation, it tells me that it cannot find my printer.

  I am suspicious that my model M1212nf MFP may even not allow for wireless printing. Some info on the HP site says to check a particular button lights up to indicate that the printer is online. This light does not exist on my printer model. However, the parameters of the printer from my physics has parameters such as: "show IP address," etc., which would lead me to believe that it can work wireless.

  I have read all the help related HP printer, and there is nothing which explains, in simple language, what are the types of cables, I need to set up a network and the Wi - Fi connection, when to plug them in, what facilities to perform on the many Add - ons available, etc.. I don't know that it's a 5 minute process if there was just a good explanation in the help of the UP of how do. Assistance would be appreciated!

  I understand that you have had problems for the last 2 years and spent many hours trying to configure your HP LaserJet Pro M1212nf MFP for wireless printing. At this point I'll provide more information about it. First of all, are sitting you?

  Unfortunately, the HP LaserJet Pro M1212nf multifunction printer isn't a model wireless printer. The "nf" at the end of the name of the printer is the abbreviation of 'network, fax. Therefore, if your printer is not able to connect to your router wireless, it CAN connect with an ethernet cable.

  All you need to do is connect an ethernet cable to the back of your printer to your router. That all devices connected to this router even (whether through wireless or wired ethernet connections) would be able to 'see' your printer on the network and print it on your printer. For more information on configuring ethernet on your printer, please visit: Setup the printer to a wired network in Windows 7 for HP's LaserJet printers.

  Now, if an ethernet connection does not work in your specific network, HP makes other Laserjet models that do not use the wireless function. Here are two LaserJet who are black only, multifunction wireless units that resemble your current printer model: HP LaserJet MFP HP LaserJet MFP M225dw Pro and M127fw Pro.

  I'm trying to scan documents and pictures using the following:

  Scanner: HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z all-in-one
  Computer: Macbook Pro retina
  Operating system: OS X mount Lion
  Application: "HP Scan" (this application was provided by HP)

  Whenever I have analyze anything, it comes out in grayscale at 300 dpi resolution.  At least, this is what HP Scan tells me when I click on the "Info" button in the lower right.

  I would like to be able to scan things in color rather than just in grayscale, and I wish I could choose the resolutions other than 300PPI.  But I looked everywhere in the graphical interface of the HP scanning application, and I can't find anywhere to adjust these settings.

  Did anyone here know how to change these settings?

  Unfortunately, the link you provided is a version of the software much older than what I have currently installed.

  HP_Installer_Inkjet_Full_Group02_10.3.dmg was published on 14/09/2009, and it is intended for OS X 10.6, aka Snow Leopard.  When I installed the printer installation CD had software pretty much at this time, and he refused to install on MTN. Lion.  Instead it asked me to download the latest version from the HP website.  What is installed on my machine is a file named HP_Mountain_Lion_Ink_SW_v12.23.18.dmg.  Unfortunately, I neglected to save the URL I downloaded from, and I can't seem to find him.  But I saved a copy of the .dmg file in case I ever need to reinstall.

  Meanwhile, I managed to find the answers on my own.  Part of my problem is that, although I'm fairly familiar with Linux and Windows, I am new to the GUI of Mac and his metaphor interface and GUI desktop is different, enough of these I'm familiar with what my instincts are sometimes not a lot of help.  Then, it took me days to notice the only critical button that made all the selections, I was looking for visible.

  HP Scan DO allows you to set things like the Type of Scan (photo or Document), Mode (color, grayscale, black & white), resolution and a number of other parameters.  But we must first click on the "Scan" button... ", and then click on the widget of the arrow to the right of the selection of the Scanner.  By clicking on the arrow pointing downwards in fact all other settings appear.

  If you change the Type of Scan of photo of the Document, it automatically changes color in grayscale Mode, which does not want to create a color PDF.  But you can change the Mode back to color.  And you can save this document as a PDF searchable to call the I.R.I.S. OCR software on it.

  To create a multiple page PDF, or let the software analyzes all sheets in the document feeder, or place another page on the window and click on the button 'Add' in the lower left corner of the window, how it displays the same dialog box that is displayed when you click 'Scan '. ».  You can click on the arrow down and change the settings for each page or leave them alone and they will remain the same as the parameters of the previous page.

  When you have analysed all the pages that you want in a single document, click 'send '.  This displays the usual selection of files box.  At this point, if you set the 'Searchable PDF', or 'PDF' format a checkbox will appear marked "save all items in a single file.

  Thus, it seems that HP Scan works with MTN. Lion, it provides all the features that Capture of Image and seen I.R.I.S. integrated in it, it provides OCR features that Capture of Image is not.
