  Make sure that your positions in the symbols are set to 0 (top and left) If you do not use an animation in here otherwise your symbols will be moving when you drag because they use these and no symbol registrations on the stage.

  Thanks, but the cd/dvd drive works well - I can burn a cd with windows media player for example.  the problem is that I can't copy files to it.   I can play CDs (haven't checked the DVD).  I can not do and could do before, is doing drag and drop files on it.  The only authorized action is "move".   This happens even when I click CTRL + do drag.   I can copy it to any other player, but the CD player, and when I hover over the "exemplary" drive CD goes to 'move '.

  My copy of DW also works as you describe, I think it's just "the way that it is" in DW.

  To copy a file from another location on your computer to your site, copy it from the original location and paste it into the site folder within windows Explorer (do not use DW at all).

  You can also drag a file from your desktop to your files window in DW to make a copy.
