Problem, try to transfer files from XP desktop to a laptop wireless Windws 7.

After loading software XP to allow for this transfer, it cannot be enabled due to this message

"You are currently on using a temporary profile. Restart and try again.
..?  I rebooted several times, but this message repeats every time!   I am logged in as administrator on XP.           Thank you.

If you're really using a temporary profile, indicating your original profile is damaged and it will create a new temporary profile whenever you log in.

To recover from a corrupted profile, follow one of the procedures below.  Both involve the creation of a new user and copy the data from the old profile to the new:

    Turn on the guy.
You have installed MS Works. This is not the same thing as MS Excel.
I didn t try to open excel with MS works files, but it seems that it s is not possible!
The excel files must be saved in Microsoft Works format, if you want to open with work!

  • How to transfer files from desktop to Tablet

I have a Lenovo running Windows 8.1 desktop and just bought a HP Jet 7, 8.1 Windows running tablet.  I expect to be able to transfer files from my desktop computer to Tablet using the USB cable provided that works very well for charging on a wall outlet with the supplied aapter and the USB cable, so I know that the cable is OK, but when I use the cable to connect the dektop to the Tablet, nothing happens not even an error message.  Any suggestions?  Thank you.

    Hello

This cable will not work. You need a USB OTG cable such as:

  • Try to transfer mail from outlook express to windows live but my display windows live doesn't have a tab "file" on the banner. Where is he?

Try to transfer mail from outlook express to windows live but my display windows live doesn't have a tab "file" on the banner.  Where is he?  I even downloaded the latest version of Windows Live Essentials and didn't get any results in obtaining the 'file' tab is displayed when you click in the upper left corner or in the Live window.  It appars I may be trying to work with a version under Windows Live but can't seem to get the "good".

There is no bar in WLMail 2011 and 2012. What version do you use? The last version to work under XP (this forum) is WLMail 2009 and having a Menu bar with file on it.

If you transfer to a more recent machine...

In Outlook Express, compact you files first.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:

    For Messages:

Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

V-2011/2012: Menu button. Import Messages. Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

    Location of OE message store:

In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP the OE User (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

Note: If any DBX file is over 300 MB, return to OE and move some messages from the folder related to a new user created folder and compact down the size of the file.

    For addresses:

Open the address book in OE and file | Export | Address book (wab) and save it to the desktop. Copy it to a flash drive. Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

WLMail 2011/2012: switch to the contacts window (click on the book icon to the address at the foot of the folders pane, or press Ctrl-3). Click on the import button, select address book (wab) Windows and point on where it was saved.

Note: If you use a CD or a DVD instead of a flash drive, after placing on the new machine you must remove the read-only attribute in the properties before you import.

    For the account settings:

In OE: Tools | Accounts, select the account and export it to the desktop. This will be an .iaf file. Copy it to the new desktop computer.

    Hi Ivars,

Thanks for posting the question on Microsoft Community.

According to the description provided, looks like you are not able to transfer files from a Samsung phone to the computer.

We are not able to open the screenshot.

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned in the link, and the screen turned on this forum.

How i: post a screen shot on this forum?

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-security/how-do-i-post-a-screen-shot-on-this-forum/c86de820-C620-401c-A804-9f6337cd3053

I have a couple of steps that should help you to solve the problem.

    Try these steps and check:

    a. do not connect the USB cable first.
    b. go to settings / wireless & network/usb/connection and tap the icon of the samsung Galaxy phone.
    c. it prompts you to connect the cable. It's when you plug the cable and then another icon on the screen.
    d. If it does not, try to connect to a different USB port.

In addition, you can contact Samsung for help.

Hope this information helps. In case you have issues with Windows, post here to Microsoft Community.

  • Can I transfer files from computer XP with FAT 32 file system to computer XP with NTFS file system?

I'm trying to transfer files from one computer to the other, both with XP.  Former is set up with the file system FAT 32. new using NTFS.  When I copy the files on thumb drive FAT 32 to and try and transfer to computer NTFS, files transfer, but nothing in them.  This does mean that I can't make such a transfer, or is there something I am doing wrong.  THX.

Y at - it files of 4 GB or more large size?  It's the only thing I can think of that could cause a problem, but I only expect to see only when copying from NTFS to FAT32.

When the files disappear?  They are on the Flash DRIVE?

How did you copy the file to the USB of the first computer?  How do copy you them from the USB drive to the second computer?

  • Motorcycle G 3rd GEN cannot transfer files from internal memory to SD card.

    Hello

I recently bought this mobile and updated the marshmallow immediately. I formatted the SD card to internal storage and I have no problem to move applications (a little), but I'm unable to move or copy the music or files.

There seems to be no the mobile option (settings > storage & USB), since the applications themselves (like Google Play or Gallery), or from the camera to set the default value for the storage location.

I tried for hours to check in different forums, but I'm not able to find anything conclusive.

All I can do is Exchange of files between my PC and the internal memory, but I can't access the SD card in the PC (I already read that it is impossible, as it is encrypted), but what I didn't expect is unable to do the same between the internal memory and the SD in my phone.

Anyone has a solution or explanation or why I can't do this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Oh Hi, me again.

I found a solution and I want to post here, just in case someone has a similar problem.

Apparently, the first time that I formatted my internal SD card it was didn't appropriately. I don't know why, but it happened.

From settings > storage & USB > SD card > tap the three vertical dots on the upper left corner and choose "as portable Format. I advise you to remove all apps before do it for return to the internal memory of the mobile. Once empty to proceed, you can choose the same menu last for formatting as internal (again). Follow all the steps in the procedure to move the files to the memory of your mobile phone to the SD card.

I did and I can transfer files from my computer it, music, videos, photos and everything.

    Great!

  • Is there a way to transfer files from a computer that has no power on a work computer?

I have a new computer because my old one no longer lights due to a charging problem. The battery only lasts a few seconds, and the old computer does not work on AC. The computer's power cable is fine, it is internal to the old computer. My question is, is it possible to transfer files from my old computer, which has no power to the new? The old computer is running Windows XP, and the other running Windows 7. I look forward to an answer and I appreciate the time.

You can buy an adapter cable that will connect the hard drive of your old computer to your new computer as a USB device.  For example:
