  • Satellite L300 PSLB0E - cannot install Vista and Win XP

    Hello

    I have a L300, model number PSLB0E sat. \
It was originally loaded with vista home premium, but it starts now not at all.
I made a disc of vista Home premium and the number to go with it, but it gets as far as "windows installation" but then it stops.

I tried to new hard drive, same loading XP pro not working!
I think it's Bios, but after the download from Toshiba on this PC and transfer it to a memory stick, my laptop can't see it?

Please can someone point me in the right direction?

A big thank you in advance Paul

    Hi mate

Please check in the BIOS if the disc is visible.
If so, then set compatible SATA to AHCI mode and then try to boot from the Vista or Win XP disc.

But if the HARD drive is not visible in the BIOS then it would mean that the HARD drive is dead and so you cannot install the operating system.

    Check it!

  • Vista to Xp slow file sharing in one direction

    Dear all,

I am struggling to untangle what appears to be an unusual problem.

I have three PCs two under XP Pro and Vista Home premium.

All have either Gigabit network cards, or Gigabit chips on board.

XP PCs share data at a very healthy network capacity 25 to 30%, and similarly I can pull or push data from the PC from XP to Vista PC to a slightly smaller capacity of 15-20%.

Problem is that any push or pull data from the PC is Vista XP PC takes forever! capacity of 0.3 per cent.

Can anyone give advice on how to reset the side possibly Vista network, or maybe a suggestion on how to fix.

Thank you very much for all your support.
    D.

    Donchik,

Make sure that your Vista system is fully updated with Windows Update with all service packs. SP1 is particularly important be it resolved several problems of network.
Also, make sure that you have updated drivers for your network card. If you need help to find the driver, I'm going to need the brand and model of your laptop.
    I hope this helps!

  • Problems HP1315v and Win 7!

I have a HP1315v all in one printer.  I update my PC to Win 7 (64-bit).  I can't get the current firmware to load.  Guard's fault.  The Windows Update driver loads OK but offers few features.  I tried with firewall and AV (Norton NIS 2010) turned off. Still no luck.  Printer installs fine on a Windows XP computer.  Any help?

It of the package that I was trying to install, unfortunately didn't save one of the error codes that I sent the data to HP using the included error reports.   Here's a blurb of what I've done since my initial post.

As someone who ALWAYS download drivers from the manufacturer of the equipment, NEVER by Microsoft.
the scenario and the following resolution is imagine for me. However, it works.

    Scenario of
I was upgrading my WinXP PC to Win7(64-bit) Home Premium.  I have a HP1315v AIO printer.  I have
Downloaded the package of Win7(64-bit) of your Web site. After several failed attempts, using the information
obtained from other locations on your website, I gave up.  I found that the Windows Update driver gave
me basic features, such as indicted in a single page, I read on your site.  I thought I could try to use
Pilots Win Update in combination with the AIO package.  It worked.  I had to remove all
and try again, just to see. Still works.  The process below is what I used.

    Resolution
    1. after the failure of the software package AIO HP, unplug the USB cable as shown in the screen of the failure.
    2. disconnect from the Internet and then ensure that is set Windows Update to download the drivers.
3 remove all entries software HP Panel > programs and features list.
4 using the Windows Explorer, HP directories remove programs files and directories of program (x 86).
    5. remove the icon of the printer HP Control Panel > devices and printers of table.
6 re - install reboot and USB cable.
    7. let Win 7 detect and install drivers for HP 1310.
    8. check by printing a test page.
    9. with the cable USB is still in place, install the software AIO package on top of the existing
Windows Update driver, and then follow the prompts.
    10 test again.

I know this isn't the best solution, but it seems to offer complete functions.  Thanks for your response anyway.

  • Cannot edit and save a file shared between 2 computers in a network after installing Windows6. 1-KB917607-x 64.msu.

    Original title:

My husband has a computer that is running Windows XP with WinHlp32.exe.  I have a new computer with Windows 7 with 64 bit.  We are interconnected.  I could access its programs, edit files and save them to his system.  In particular, Overture 3.1 for musical notation.  Today, I need help in this program.  There was no help.  He told me to load Windows6. 1-KB917607-x 64.msu fix.  After it's download, I could access the help files.  The file was saved to my computer 32-bit of husbands and now he cannot open this file.  We must be able to modify each and other files and save to the original source.  Help, please!  If there is not a solution to this problem, can I reverse the installation of the said .msu file and live without help on 32-bit programs?  Told by people we bought the new machine that he would have no problems being networked with someone that is running Windows XP.

    Hello

The question is specific to this file, or occurs with all the files?

    Try these methods and check.

    Method 1:

Do a system restore and check.

    System restore

    Method 2:

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    Back up the registry

    a. click Start, type regedit and press enter.

  • Rule 2014 CC tool straighten button is dimmed in multilayer (Mac and Win versions) files

I have a file of PCBs in levels of gray/8 with a levels adjustment layer.

In CC 2014, I use the tool rule to drag a line and straighten it button in the Options bar is greyed out if I have the background layer or the selected adjustment layer. If I flattened the image of the straighten button is active.

In CC, if I select the background layer, the straighten button is active. No, if I select the adjustment layer. Same behavior to the CS6. (If the problem seems to be in CC2014 only)

This is noticed in the Mac and Windows of CC 2014.1.0 versions (which would leave out the seeds of the OS and hardware.)

Tried a flat file to grayscale, added an adjustment layer and noticed the same problem in 2014 of CC.  (which eliminates a buggy file)

The fact that at least with the background selected in the CC and CS6, the straighten button layer is active, then it's look like something specific to the CC 2014.

Before I call it a "bug", I want to know if someone is to see this or knows a fix?

I see the same behavior here.

Looks like a bug to me.

    Hello

Try Mode safe mode with networking - repeatedly, press F8 that you start.

The best two methods allow scanners to run and/or AV.exe out of the way or removing.

    1.
CTRL SHIFT ESC - task manager OR right click on the taskbar - task manager

Process tab - complete the process on AV. EXE and continue with the uninstall Guide.

If necessary use start - computer or Windows Explorer to navigate to

C:\Program Malwarebytes Anti - Malware\mbam.exe or where it is installed - if
necessary right click on the shortcut of Malwarebytes - Properties - tab - target line to see where it
    is installed.

Right-click on it and rename it to ZZMbam.COM (or something different than now) and
Double-click it, and then run it like this. You can rename it back later. Do the same with
other programs according to the needs. Use this method to others as needed - NOT assume all
a program deletes all or that it is no other malicious software. Use the ".com"
prevents the extension as this malware. EXE to run.

    2.
Another method is to use them:

Use Process Explorer to "Suspend" the process will not stop

Then use AutoRuns to delete the malicious program startup items.

Now use UnLocker to delete the files in the malware.

  • Network Vista and XP - connection to the network printer problem

I try to print to a network printer connected to a vista from a computer xp machine

    Two computers on a network
Vista machine is connected through the ethernet card and has a connected printer
XP machine is via wireless network

Both machines have the same network name "mshome".
Open ports on the firewall and also left Software Firewall

When I print a job, I see it be wound on the info from the printer on both machines, but then, it is automatically deleted.

I am able to access the hard disks from two computers

The printer works this way, when you share a printer between XP and Vista where the printer is connected to Vista, XP will communicate with the printer and its drivers Vista.

So as I suspected it was due from pilots, in your case XP will be offered 64 bit readers which it does not recognize

If we rely on the printer connected to the Vista 64-bit operating system operating system 32-bit, we need to install the additional drivers (especially the XP must be with 32 bits, only 32 bits of the operating system will not show if it's 32-bit or 64-bit)

So in this case, you must right click on the printer on Vista and go to the sharing tab, and then click additional drivers, it will be the operating system and Version to select and you will need to select Windows XP x 86 and install the drivers

Now your Vista will be the 32-bit and 64-bit drivers installed. Now, when you share the printer, when the Contacts XP Vista, Vista has drivers and it will be able to share the printer correctly. Anish

    Hello

You plug the computer via the network to a router or a switch card, and configuring their file sharing.

    ---------------------

Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.

Group residential network = only works between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration, it is very easy to entry level users to start sharing network.

Working network = fundamentally similar to previous methods of sharing that allow you to control what, how and to whom the records would be shared with.

    Public share
= network Public (as Internet Café) in order to reduce security risks.

For the best newspaper of the results of each computer screen system and together all computers on a network of the same name, while each computer has its own unique name.

Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .
