My printer is unresponsive to my orders.

My printer wants to print to a file.  I think I have done something, but don't know how to fix it.  Can you help me?

Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.

    In the Photos app, I need to print multiple photos on one page.  It won't let me print them in the order I'd like, but seems to align them in chronological order.  The photos appear in chronological order on the page where I have chosen size, etc, but when the real print preview page comes, they are in reverse order.

    First of all, how to make them print in reverse as they originally appear (not?)  Second, is there a way to force the program to print the photos in the order I want them, not in chronological order?

    What presentation do you use?  Try the following:

    1 assemble the images in an album and organize manually in the order you want.

    2 - type command-A to select all the images in the album.

    2 - type Command + P to access the print window.

    3 - Select the Contact card or custom page layout.

    In two of these page layouts, images are in order I put in the album.

    4. for the custom sheet, you will need to choose a size that will get all the images on a single sheet.

    If you have not updated to 10.11.3 with Photos 1.3 I suggest you do so.  There are a number of bug fixes in both as well as new features that make the update is worth it.

    How to print words backwards without loss of resolution on the HP Officejet Pro 8500 wireless? Paint will allow printing in reverse, but poor resolution. I want to print the words in reverse order for rub - on stickers.

    Deskjet 6980 driver is compatible with the Officejet 8500 and provides a checkbox 'Mirror Image '.  You can do the following: click on start, devices and printers, click with the right button on the Officejet 8500 and select properties from the Printer Ports.  Note the port settings.   Now, the devices and printers folder click on add a printer, a local printer, select the same port as the 8500 noted previously.  Now, click on Windows Update in the lower right.  It will take several minutes for the update to finish unless there is an error *.  Once the full update Select manufacturer HP (Hewlett-Packard no) and the Deskjet 6980.  Once the printer has been installed, you can click with the right button on the Deskjet 6980, properties of the printer, and then rename the "HP Deskjet 6980 series" to something else, maybe "Officejet 8500 Mirror Image", OK.  Right-click on 'Officejet 8500 Mirror Image' printer and select Printing Options, finish, check the 'Mirror Image' checkbox, apply and in the print task Quick Sets type a new name as mirror and then save.

    After do you have two printers, one the 8500 standard driver that you can use for normal printing and the 'Mirror Image' version, which you can select when you print a T-Shirt transfer documents.

    * If an error 'Windows cannot find a list of the features of update' you can fix that as shown in this post.  I tried this fix and can confirm that it works.

    1. go in the properties of the printer (you can make screenshot in Word)

    2. click on the Advanced tab

    3. under page layout options check the order of the pages to see if the correct command is selected

    4. There should be two options: front, rear and rear to front

    5. choose before aft

    6. click ok/apply

    7 try the print job (make sure you only set duplex)

    Check setting of double-sided printing needs (long side vs side short flip) optionally) *.

    What program are you printing from?

    Try to print a document duplex from another application.

    I'm transition to Win 8.1 Vista.  I have a Canon MX870 printer with the problems of the order of the pages.  With my printer settings exactly the same as on my Vista, Win 8.1 machine print a multipage document insists on treatment of printing a document to the rear.

    For example, to set the printer as I always FEEL OF LAST page, he treats the last page on the first page of the document.  So on a document of 3 pages printed double-sided, pages 2 and 3 are back-to-back, and 1 page is blank on the back.

    I didn't understand at first what suggested you because I had done all this (I THOUGHT!) but the design truly Byzantine Word 2013 defeated all the logic I had previously applied.

    The very way which is less intuitive word 2013 works is that it separates the printer between windows Canon printer commands and window, under Options, advanced with the printer controls the latter taking precedence.  So no matter what I tried in the print window of Canon, Word 2013 would not allow it to take effect.

    WHY IN GOD'S CREATION WOULD WORD 2013 DESIGNED THIS WAY?

    In any case, after three visits to the Options Word 2013--> window advanced (at the bottom of this window, so it is not visible at first sight), I realized that I need to uncheck command-last-page to print the word 2013.  Print-last-page Canon is taken into account that accepted.

    Damn!  Why did do so absurd?

  • Problem with my HP PSC 1610 all in one printer of the series which is printing pages in the right order.

    Basically I have the HP PSC 1610 all in one printer. I know not what has happened, but in some way, when I go to print a document of site Web etc, use the printer to print the last page first and keep printing until the 1st real page printed would be changed, which would print on top printed pages.

    My problem is now, it's actually print the path opposite, now it prints the 1st page of first and last last page, which means when I pick up all the printed pages, I then have to sort the page numbers in the correct order.

    Now, I use my printer waste dumps, I print a lot of game documents such as guides etc.. Now if I was just printing pages 1-5, I'd be fine with it, but at this current moment, I was printing guides with more than 50 pages, which really saddens me to have to keep sorting out pages of paper for good order.

    I must say that it does print no pages in a random order, which means like printing, for example, 10 pages, it does not print the page number 6, 2, 5, 8, 3, 10, 1. It is actually printing the pages in the following way, page 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. (When it's over, page 10 is one who is on top of the stack), but I really need to put it so that it will print the pages in the following order, p. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.     Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It seems that you experience problems printing to a Wi - Fi printer. Looks like you already have a troubleshooting. I recommend reading this article, you have already done some steps here, but there is more information you have not mentioned by train.

    If the issue is not resolved, take these last steps to remove all the drivers printer currently installed that might be causing the problem:

    1. Choose  menu Apple > System Preferences, and then click Printers and scanners.
    2. Control-click anywhere in the list of devices, and then choose "Reset printing system" from the context menu that appears.
    3. From the Finder, choose go > go to folder. Type /Library/Printers/ , and then click surGo.
    4. The Printers folder opens. Choose Edition > select all to select all the items in the folder.
    5. Choose file > new folder with selection to all the selected items in a new folder named new folder with the elements.
      To save storage space, you can delete the folder new folder with items after you complete the remaining steps.
    6. Follow the steps described in previous section once more.

    If your printing problem is not resolved, contact the manufacturer of the printer to support.

    I'm sorry you have a problem with the print commands.

    There should be an option when you click on print. Another window will appear until you press on print again.

    It should be a box that gives you the order of the pages (1,2,3---3,2,1). Juice change the order.

    I've got 900 files that I need to print. I created an action simply prints the active document, then the farm. The problem is photoshop of print files in a random order. The files are sorted numerically, it should display in order.

    I go to file-> automate-> Batch and select the print action that I have saved and define the folder that contains the image files. The image files are all labelled numerically merging all the data that I made in photoshop.

    The problem is, although this list is in numerical order, photoshop will display these in a random order. For example, the folder containing the image files is listed below in the correct order.

    I just got a new modem/router, it will reconfigure the settings. My old but BEAUTIFUL HP LaserJet 4000N does not respond well to the changes. (Just like old fogeys everywhere...) Not happy about the way the world is moving on!)

    Now, if I had not updated my modem/router just 3 months ago, without problem, I might conclude that the tech had finally adopted my printer. But this EXACT procedure was successful only three months ago, so my suspicion is that I missed a step somewhere...
