  I love chess and play using the pre-installed game Chess Titans on my Windows 7 pc. But recently, the animation, where it shows the moving parts, is not displayed. In the options box, 'show animations' is checked, but it is grayed out. If anyone can help?

  I don't have a PC with Chess Titans to test, but I have to assume that this would be the option 'Show animations inside windows', I think that the 1st or 2nd in the list.

• Chess Titans freezes computer with Windows 7

  Upgrade to new computer from Windows Vista to Windows 7 and everything seems to work fine except the game Chess Titans in the beam of Microsoft games. When you run this game, the display shows the program splash screen and then displays a black screen in and out; and freezes the computer how far I have to restart. It actaully has worked well when I had Windows Vista, it just started to have problems of the the intall of Windows 7. Also I don't have the most current version of Directx 11.  I would really apreciate if someone can give me input on how to solve this problem.

  After the upgrade to Windows 7, I recommend you update the drivers for the graphics card, this could be a problem with drivers for the graphics card, follow these steps to update the drivers:

  1. click on Start.
  2. enter Device Manager to launch the search.
  3. expand display adapter in the Device Manager window.
  4. right click on the device.
  5. click on Properties.
  6. click on Driver tab.
  7. click on update drivers.
  8. click on OK.

  Check if the exclamation points are displayed with the device. The exclamation point indicates a problem with the installed driver.

  Even if the update of drivers does not help, I would say that uninstall you and reinstall the Windows feature set could solve the problem.
  1. click on Start.
  2. type Optionalfeatures.exe search.
  3. click on the symbol + for games for Windows features.
  4. uncheck the Chess Titans.
  5. click on OK.
  6. now restart the computer.
  7. follow step 1 to 3 of the .
  8. put a checkmark for Chess Titans.
  9. click on OK.

  Give it a try with the above steps and check if you are able to play the game without freeze him more.

  When you check the list of Windows features it is not inside?

  To get there, press the windows key and type in "features " without the quotes and then click on "turn on or off windows features ". "" In the window that appears, you should games and next to it a button "+". Go ahead and click the button "+". You should see Chess titans here. If it is unchecked then go ahead and check it and click OK when you are finished. It should appear in the Games folder in the start menu and Explorer games now. You can or you have to may not restart. It should tell you if it is necessary, however.

  The problem is:

  The rule means that when a pawn, it is first move he can choose to move two squares forward while holding the piece that lies alongside the second place.

  This rule seems to have been incorrectly implemented in the coding of Chess Titans and applied backwards somehow.

  Now, so the pawn can move laterally and forward to take a piece when he approached the enemy line IE 5to7 square instead of 2to4 square.

  ·         Were you able to access the games earlier?

  I would suggest trying the following steps and check if it helps.

  Step 1: If it was working fine before the system restore.

  Try reinstalling Chess titans on your computer and check the results:

  a. click on start

  b. click Control Panel

  c. Select programs and features

  d. click on Turn windows features on or off

  e. expand game option

  f. uncheck the option: Chess titans

  g. restart the computer

  h. follow the same steps of a to e and place a check mark next to Chess titans and even restart the computer

  Whenever I'm playing Chess Titans of my SONY VAIO VGN-AW11M/H Notebook, I noticed that graphic display flashes. I tried to install the latest drivers for my card (nVIDIA GeForce 9300 M GS) graphics, but the installer told me that the o/s is not supported by the installation program.   you need to uninstall the old drivers, and to install the new drivers.
  Have you installed the drivers from the Nvidia site or the SONY site? If SONY relased all the drivers for your graphics card, it would be preferable to take this one.

• Chess Titans - saved game repetitions

  I recently bought a new Dell Studio XPS 16 laptop and it came with Windows Vista.  While exploring the new laptop, I noticed Chess Titans and played several times.  But I was able to save a game and now when I open CT I question if I want to continue that playing a saved game.  I've played different several times through, hoping to erase a game of memory, but I always get the question to play again the next time I open TB.  Is there a simple way to erase a memory game?  I went to help for the game and a forum for CT, but have not found an answer to this question.  Thanks for your help.

  I think I found the answer.  I went to the MS Windows Vista Home page and searched for Chess Titans.  This took me to a post on the forum Chess Titans (Windows Vista > Forums Home > Windows Vista Forums > games > Chess Titans parties registered) with the same question.  Chess Titans response is below.  I have not yet tried the fix, but based on the info below it seems like it should work.  Note the link to winhelponline.com.  Based on this link, I think that the Chess Titans below works also for Mahjong Titans.  Good luck.

  Here's what you need to do.

  Open the window of the Explorerof games, then select "Chess Titans"
  Click on the drop down arrow next to 'Play' button at the top
  Click "saved games".

  When the "Registered Parties" folder opens, delete the following file:

  "ChessTitans.ChessTitansSave - ms".

  I managed to find a copy of the titans of chess for my little Asus XP runnuing, I take with me on a trip.

  The problem I have is that there is no way to play as the first to have black. It is in white by default and there is no alternative in the options to play black everything first.

  Not accessible games

  I haven't had any changes consciously, and the games do not work in any user account.  When I've done sfc/scannow (command prompt) he said that I was not the administrator.  I could learn from another source to solve this problem - in the start menu, right click on the command prompt icon, and then click Run as administrator.  Hope everybody help with this problem.  If you do not have command prompt in your Start menu, any type of command prompt in your search box and it should appear.

  At this point, it seems that some of the files system associated with this meeting have been made corrupt. And the options you have to fix this did not help you so far. You can go for a repair of Windows 7 installation in the computer. A repair installation does not remove installed programs or data from the computer and fix problems like yours. The only condition that must be completed for a repair installation it is you must have installation media equivalent to the version of the system that you are running, or - if you are running Windows 7 Home Premium, you will need to installation media for Windows 7 Home Premium, and if you run Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1, you will need to install for Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 media.
