  I have an Acer with a secondary HD TOSHIBA MK1234GSX 9920.
  Since I installed Windows 7, I have problems with the HD.
  Upon restart, the HD is considered as having problems with windows: when I look in device management, I have this message "Windows has stopped this device cause it has problems. (Code 43) »
  I did a full scan (chkdsk), but no not found errors.
  If I turn off the HD, reactivate and restart, sometimes I can access the HD which works perfectly.

  CHKDSK is not good to test a HARD drive for bad sectors, its only good when looking for errors of the filesystem (FAT32 or NTFS).

  Test the hard drive to find errors using DFT.
  DFT download: http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm#DFT

  Download the ISO file and burn it to a CD - R disc (there is also a version on disk if it's easier).
  If you don't know how to burn an ISO file, read this guide: http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm
  Restart your laptop and boot from the disc of DFT.
  Choose the 'Advanced' test and let it run (it may take an hour or two).
  If you see a message in red box, the HARD drive is faulty.
  An error code 0 x 70 means there are bad sectors and the HARD drive needs to be replaced.

  I was looking for 64-bit drivers for my laptop, but since this is a new model, the drivers were not yet available. I checked a few weeks later and they were no longer available.

  I downloaded the upgrade of BIOS (file S10V600.exe) for my Toshiba Satellite A100-437 (PSAA8). When I try to launch it I get the answer:

  I was using the admin account.

  Nothing did. Always the same window with the above message appeared.

  You may need to use XP or Vista 32 bit update of the BIOS.

  If you use a router as a wireless access point, make sure 1) you have disabled DHCP; and (2) it is on the same subnet as the first router (which will do DHCP).   When you installed Windows 7 Pro, did you do a reformat and clean install, or have you just loaded Win 7? Part of the problem may be a residual of pirated software. I recommend a reformat and clean install if you can do it now.

  In the contrary case, the thing to look at is if there is a driver conflict between what driver is there now compared to what was there. Go to control panel | Device Manager and watch the video, sound, and game controllers section. What drivers are here for audio? And which audio driver your speakers are pointed to? The active audio driver suitable for your speakers.
