Problem with icon of the taskbar with Google Chrome 32

Hello world

I have a problem when I try to Google Chrome 32 thinapp. I did the capture with WinXP using Thinapp 5.0. The application works very well, but I only have one problem. The icon of the Chrome in Windows 7 taskbar does not work. Instead, I see the icon included in the screenshot. If Chrome is installed locally on the computer, it works. I tried to capture on a Win7 32 and 64 bit and it gives the same problem. Has anyone had the same problem and found a solution?

Thank you

Francis

Google Chrome 34 and 35 are still showing the same behavior...

Do this test:

-Launch Chrome packed

-Right click on the icon 'Virgin '.

-Right click on "Google Chrome" and select "Properties".

-Click on "Change icon" and note the error message: Windows cannot find the file %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Google Profile.ico

This file exists in the package, and if you copy the 'Google' Profile.ico in the capture folder in this location in the native environment, it works!

As you probably notice, I did it "BOLD" the word "Windows". If you use ProcMon to troubleshoot the behavior and search for "Google Profile.ico", you will see that the process "Explorer.exe" returns "PATH_NOT_FOUND". It is normal, because "Explorer.exe" does not and cannot run in the virtual environment.

Another solution to the file manually on the background, would be to rename the '% Local Appdata%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default' '% Local Appdata%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default.old '.

Then create a new folder "Default", with a MERGED insulation.

Once the package is rebuilt, it should work fine. Google Chrome checks if that file exists for this user and if not, recreate. With isolation being MERGED, it creates in the user profile.

For the Flash bit that does not work, did you follow that Ko... ?

  • Problems with google chrome do not close by exiting the application

I noticed that Google Chrome it was not stop completely. The window will close on but when I reopen it the program hangs and I have to force quit to run again.  I seems that you can go to settings and click on advanced options and under the system section to find the setting to disable chrome to run in the background.  However, when I get to the system section I don't have this option.  Anyone know how to make sure when I close off Chrome it actually stops and does not run in the background?

    Hello

I use the latest version of the Google Chrome browser on my Windows 7 computer. The problem is that chrome is very slow in the first round. It takes more than 20 seconds to finally load the page (any page, say Google.com). Please consider these cases:

    2. I uninstalled and reinstalled times that the chrome by method of default uninstallation by Revo Uninstaller Pro to advanced mode, but no change has taken place.
3 - I have the same version of chrome on my Windows 8.1 (which is on the virtual machine installed on Windows 7). It has no bugs and is very well in the first round and later.

  • What is the problem with the police in Google Chrome? How should I do?

I use a Toshiba laptop Satellite 2009 that is running the 32-bit version of Windows 7 Ultimate. My favorite browser is Google Chrome. A week ago, I noticed that about 40% of the text displayed in Chrome seems quirky and hard to read, as shown here ---> http://i.imgur.com/uEPcy.png . This question arose from nowhere and persistent since last week. I searched on the internet long and hard for a solution to this irritating problem. I've never seen, heard talk where experienced this problem before. Interestingly, this problem is present in Google Chrome. Safari, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word and other applications on my laptop never displayed the text in this way. Although I can always start using another browser, which displays the text correctly, I'm asking help and advice because I became frustrated with this problem and because I am very sedentary to chrome. So what is wrong with the police in Google Chrome? How to fix it? I appreciate all help. Thank you.

  • Firewall Windows with Google Chrome problem

Hello. Earlier today, I open Google Chrome and received one of these guests of firewall Windows that says "Google Chrome" tent of... I accidentally hit always block, instead of always accept and now I can't use Chrome. I get this message:

NS lookup failed. DNS is the web service that translates the name of a Web site to its internet address. This error is most often caused by the presence of no connection to the internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by a DNS server does not respond or a firewall preventing access to the network of Google Chrome.

I tried the following, and none of them worked.

    (1) I added Google Chrome to the list of programs supported in Windows Firewall.

    (2) I restored the default settings of the firewall.

    (3) I did a system restore to yesterday.

    (4) I ran my anti-virus software.

    (5) I cleaned my dns cache.

    (6) I unchecked the "use DNS prefetch to improve page load performance" in Chrome.

Nothing has worked. I know this has something to do with the fact that I told the firewall to block anything that Chrome was trying to do, but I can't seem to unlock!

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

It seems to be a problem with the driver compatibility problems. I suggest you try to install the drivers for the touchpad in compatibility mode and check if it works for you.

Have you tried the steps in the previous thread by Rizwan?

    Method 1:

Step 1: Download the drivers for the touchpad of HP the following link.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/in/en/support-search.HTML?tab=1#/qryterm=Ultrabook%20X2%7C%7C&SearchType=s-002

Step 2: Install the driver in compatibility mode.

Follow the steps to install in compatibility mode:

    a. do the driver installation file right click and select properties and then tap or click on the Compatibility tab.

    b. check the run this program in compatibility mode for: box.

    c. press or click the menu drop down and select a previous operating system, and then tap or click OK.

    d. try to install the driver and verify.

    Method 2:
If there is a problem with the Google Chrome browser settings.

I suggest you uninstall and reinstall Google Chrome browser and check.

To uninstall, you can see the following link.
Uninstall, change or repair a program

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/uninstall-change-program#uninstall-change-program=Windows-7

After uninstalling Google Chrome, try reinstalling Google Chrome.

Hope this information is helpful and let me know if you need additional assistance.

    Thank you.

This means that you use the viewer of PDF from Google Chrome, which is not compatible with many PDF features.

  • Advertising, freezing the icons on the taskbar

I have a laptop G7. I get this pop up telling me I need to upgrade to flash player pro. I click it off and then it freezes the icons on the taskbar. Those on the office work. I have the icon of chrome from google on this subject or I couldn't get to internet. Any ideas on how to stop this. Hi nana4c,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using the forum, it's a great place to find answers. You have the best experience in the HP forum, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I understand that, after connecting to the Internet, you get a popup telling you that you need to update Flash Player Pro and you click out of it.  Once you have done this, freeze your task bar icons, but continue to work your desktop icons. You have Google Chrome on your desktop and are able to access the Internet after that happens.

What browser do you initially use to access the Internet?  Try starting with one another, if you do not have the same problem, I suggest to uninstall and reinstall this browser at the origin of the problem.

If you get the same result with another browser, try the following steps.

Go to the command prompt and do a right click on it and select run as administrator

Type sfc/scannow, and then press on enter

It will look for corrupted files and try to fix them.

    I hope this has helped.
