Problem with pathfinder of culture

Hello

I have found the solution to my problem here in this forum, finally! -then tried all that... and failed. In fact, I spent about four hours on this now and I am about to leave...

So now, maybe there someone with the brain to move me to the solution--as I do not have.

Ok. I had a form which is a vector of base, a form of a pot. I want this jar to have the colors of the Rainbow former color Apple logo. To do this, I copied and pasted the wikipedia logo in my Illustrator file. So now I have this pot of vector and the Apple logo, the latter being a bitmap. I put the jar in front of the logo (i.e. the jar is on top). So I have of the group as well, the small pot and the logo. Then I click on Pathfinder-> crop. I thought that I would now have this jar filled with colors of the apple logo. Wrongo. And now I have tried all options of Pathfinder, but none of them gives the right result... or any result, in fact.

Is it possible that I can not do this technique with a vector and a bitmap? If so, what can I do to make this work?

.... Here, I am pretty distraught. Any help is really appreciated.

My equipment:

MacBook Pro, Adobe Illustrator CS4.

Thank you 1 million.

-without -.

You can use the tools of pathfinder on a bitmap - then you must vectorize it first (LiveTrace).

-Better to use a clipping mask. Duplicate the outline of your jar and remove the styles from him. This group with your bitmap image and then create a clipping mask. This is!

    Hello

    Problems with the Windows Sidebar?

It seems that the problem is related to the Windows Sidebar. Remove all third-party sidebar gadgets if

Follow these steps and check if it helps.

    Logon as administrator-

    a. If the sidebar is running - make a right click on the sidebar near the lower clock icon right in and out

    b. Click Start - Type "CMD" in the search box - find top - right click it and run as administrator.

    c. replace C:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar by copying and pasting this command->

    CD C:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar

    d. press enter (this is assuming that your sidebar is on C:, otherwise use the letter of the drive is on)

    Guest should be--> C:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar >

    e. then copy and paste each of them following their tour to enter

    regsvr32-u sbdrop.dll

    regsvr32-u wlsrvc.dll

    regsvr32 atl.dll

    regsvr32 sbdrop.dll

    regsvr32 wlsrvc.dll

    Sidebar should now work.

Also if you scan SFC does not fix a corrupted system file, you can follow the steps from the link below.

    Hi all

I used ccleaner, after finishing, I was not able to access to word or ppt... I am getting error 1719 and problems with windows install and I got dnssd missing dll, but I put one in Wow64. I really don't know where the problem lies... I tried everything from softbooting to sfc/scannow... I have windows 7... I copied the log on the desktop and I noticed this repetition:

    I used ccleaner

-> Why would you do that? CCleaner is known to cause problems!

After finishing, I was not able to access to word or ppt

->, You might be able to repair the damage with the system restore. It allows setting up Windows to a point before using CCleaner.

Upgrades would result in a new generation of complete system with different CPU, motherboard and memory. AMD CPU are not suitable for editing. You need a 4-core Intel i7 with HT or better, and so a new card mother and new RAM. With your GTX 980, you'd need a 8-core i7-5960 X, 64 GB of RAM, and a very fast SSD configuration to get things in balance.

Hello I am a student and I have a problem with the tool Selection (V). When I opened the file AI CC with CS6 selection tool doesn't allow me to change the selection. What can I do? (I have reinstall AI CC and the problem persists)

    Ivan,

If it's on the rectangular objects, you may have encountered the bug Rectangle Live which is limited to the MAC versions from 10.7 and 10.8, but not of 10.9 (Mavericks) or 10.10 (Yosemite). If all goes well, the bug will be fixed soon.

Thus, a switch for the Mavericks or Yosemite with a reinstall might be the way to solve it here and now.

To get around it, in each case, it is possible to develop direct Rectangles to get the normal old shaped rectangles or Pathfinder > unit, or use the scale tool or the free transform tool.

A more permanent way round that is to create normal old shaped rectangles, after running the free script created by Pawel, see this thread with download link:

  • Can someone explain to me what is the problem with Illustrator CS5?

I can't, for the life of me, understand why this happens. If you look carefully at the images below, you will notice that the 'path' or a schema does not coincide with what is represented as a fill.

I can work on my forms on CS4 and everything works fine.

That seems to happen when I use pathfinder operations, or resize a set of shapes.

What is the problem with my Illustrator?

    Please help me.

    Picture 27.pngPicture 28.png

    Hi Enrique.

It seems to me that the points can be aligned to the pixel grid when you develop. Hard to say without knowing the extent of your examples. I don't have it, but I think snap to grid of pixels has been added in CS5. Worth the drive. Or off uncheck.

    Peace,

    Lee

  • Problem with HD2SD workflow - VirtualDub crashes

I tried to follow Dan and Jeff HD to SD using HD2SD a workflow. The results are much better than the conversion of the first, but I have problems with VirtualDub that hangs. All components have been installed according to the video of Jeff Bellune (I hope I'm not joking upward).

My system runs on Windows 7 64 - bit, Intel i7 CPU, 12 GB memory, graphics Quadro 4000 card. I'm still under CS5.03, because I want to finish my current project before the update. I still have the AXIO THE (actuall drivers) installed.

    Here are my steps:

My pictures is material HD422 and HD - EX from a PDW700 and an EX-3. It is recorded in 1080i50. My timeline is a timeline of Matrox HD1080.

    Step 1. Export MPEG I-frame

With the help of SOUL I export an image I MPEG clip "Classes - I.m2v" + "Classes - I.wav ' with the following parameters:

    Encoder: Main Concept,

    Multiplexer: none.

    Quality: 5

    TV standard: PAL

    Image size: 1920 x 1080,.

    Frame Rate: 25 fps.

    Field order: top,.

    Pixel format: square,.

    Profile: 4:2:2, level: high.

    Go to maximum depth: off,.

    Flow of encoding: CBR,.

    Senior M/N: 1,

    Primary colors: ITU - R. Rec. 709,

    Use Maximum rendering quality: off

Question: Are there advantages or disadvantages in using the I-frame Matrox codec instead?

    Step 2: GDIndex

I now generate the file 2dv ' Classes - I.2dv "with DGIndex. The poster format interwoven with BT.709 Info window.

    Step 3: AVISynth script

I created the AVISynth script following 'Classes.avs ':

    SetMTMode (2.0)

    MPEG2Source ("Classes_I.2Dv")

    hd2sd (interlaced = true, OutputFieldRate = 50 OutputColorSpace = "RGB32")

According to the hd2sd info text file, I put RGB32 to encode in yet.

I also tried to use "YUY2" for encoding with ProCoder 3.

    Step 4: Creating file SD

    I opened 32-bit VirtualDub.

For "Compression", I select Lagarith, RGB (default), multithreaded

I opened "Classes.avs" and select "Save as AVI".

VirtualDub starts coding for a fraction of a second (18 images) and then hangs with kernelbase. I added at the end of this post thread call stack.

Crash reason: Microsoft C++ Exception unhandled

    Context of the accident:
An exception occurred in the module "KERNELBASE.

I am able to make with the SOUL lagarith codec. For testing VirtualDub, I tried to code for the Matrox DV codec. It crashed, too, but this time in frame of 19. I was able to choose uncompressed RGB mode to render with VirtualDub, but it didn't work after the crash lagarith. I had to reboot the system. VirtualDub reboot didn't help.

Can someone tell me how I can get VirtualDub to work with the codec lagarith or something else?

    Step 5:

The SD - AVI file with the uncompressed RGB codec seems strong and good, but on fast movements, he seems to have an effect of smear (played with Media player). When I verify with GSpot it shows all the fields above or below. Is it possible that the file has been made progressive? GSpot displays 25 fps. Don't load the file into the first it shows no fields (Progressive Scan), too. I guess that the fields are simply copied into an image.

I created the file MPEG2 DVD once with Procoder and once with the SOUL of first (I used both the file with RGB color space to limit the work of screening, since the main problem is the sharpness and movement. Hd2sd information file recommended for ProCoder YUY2. I'll test it later.)

When I drag the AVI file in Procoder she displays fields from the bottom first, but I can choose different options. To maintain the order of the fields of the source material, I chose manually high-field and the aspect ratio of 16:9 source value. As a target, I chose the mastering MPEG2-DVD quality. Here the order of the fields first shows upper field. I can't change the setting in Procoder. The ratio is set to 16 x 9, once again. The result looks good and the movement is smooth.

I also created a MPEG2 DVD with SOUL of first file to compare. Since the film dialog interpreter showed progressive I turned on manually in the upper fields. The movement resulting is fine, but the picture was fuzzy again! I played a bit with Max Render and Max BitDepth. I have to do the test against. There must be a mistake. It seemed that I had to put one of them to get good results, but it didn't matter which one. Since I have a supported GPU card, it should not matter if Max Render is selected or not.

Not to mention that Media Player I tried to compare files in VLC, too. In VLC videos generally show more movement, but it could be just deinterlace VLC. Can anyone recommend me a good player? I sometimes give up files first and whatch them on my JVC monitor via the Matrox output to get the best comparison broadcast?

    ----

I also saw that DebugMode FrameServer is now available in 64-bit. Is this DGIndex workflow has any other advantage that comes from being faster in the sum? I prefer to use the FrameServer it rather than the MPEG-I workflow since it would eliminate the space required for the intermediate file? I can leave the system restore at night when I use it.

    Thanks for any help.

    Marcus

  • Problem with the Apple Core Image?

Can someone confirm for me that there is a problem with Apple Core Image which has feature to DNG. I have problems with Nikon RAWs converted with DNG Converter. Once changes have been made to these DNG (in Lightroom 2.3) and the metadata and previews updated software (Preview, etc.) based on the main Image don't seem to use the embedded JPG (with applied adjsutments) but well the smallest thumbview, not up-to-date. I do not use the option "convert to linear" when converting.

    >... but Apple OS uses its own rendering system (part of Mac OS) to display

    > previews in Finder. It is completely independent of the melting of LR,

    > or LR of embedded previews.

Hi Eric - so a software program that uses Apple CoreImage to render a LR

"adjusted" DNG will be or does not display a picture of the DNG that has been

    cropped.

Will not. In general, LR settings (e.g., cultures, fill light, etc.) are not

applied by Core Image. These types of adjustments are specific to each flood

    converter.

  • Problems with mail after switching to macOS Sierra

    Hey all

After having recently upgraded to macOS Sierra, I am unable to read my mail.

I get the following error every time I check on "Get Mail".

There may be a problem with the mail server or the network. Check the account settings "*" or try again.

The server returned the error: Mail could not connect to the server 'pop1.tribcsp.com' using SSL on the default ports. Verify that this server supports SSL and that your account settings are correct.

What does this error message mean and how can I solve this problem.

    Thank you

    Hi Michael,

I see your message that you get an error in the mail indicating that there is a problem with the mail server or the network.  To help get this problem resolved, I suggest that you follow the steps below:

If mail refers to a problem with the mail server, or the network

Mail will say that it is impossible to connect due to a problem with the mail server or the network. For example, the message may refer to a connection that has expired, or too many simultaneous connections:

If you are connected to the Internet, but the connection has expired, your email provider might be affected by a discontinuance of service. Contact them or see their status Web page to ensure that their e-mail service is online. Examples of status pages:

If the message indicates the number of simultaneous connections, too many of your devices is check your e-mail account at the same time. Quit Mail on one or more of your other devices.

If you are still unable to send or receive e-mails

    1. Make sure that you have installed latest version of the Mac software updates, especially if the problem occurred immediately after the installation of a previous update.
    2. In OS X El Capitan or later version, you can see a status icon and the short error message in the upper right of the Mail window, under the search box. The message may indicate 'Network offline' or 'Connection failed', for example. Click the message to see more details on the issue.
    3. Check your connection to the Mail connection doctor. It might be able to say more on the issue.

If you cannot send or receive e-mail on your Mac.

    Take care.

  • iMac 27 "mid-2011 - Intermittent problem with CPU fan running at full speed and sleep mode.

    Hello!

My iMac 27 "has an intermittent problem with the CPU fan runs at full speed. Sometimes it happens at the time when I start it, sometimes only in my session, and sometimes only after a certain time. So does seem to be a problem of "heating".

Second issue is with the mode 'sleep'. It may occur also at any time, at the start of the iMac, session, or after a certain time. But once he starts to go in mode 'sleep', when I wake up, it goes right back in mode after a few seconds and that it will continue indefinitely until I restart the computer.

  • Anyone having problems with the new iPhone LTE connection 7 on Verizon?

I am now on my iPhone second 7 with Verizon. I had four phones for me and my family. I have now had issues where I have no signal in the same areas where my signal allows to be strong. I can't solve the problem with the activation/deactivation of the airplane and then mode again in normal mode. My phone will rest with no signal for 5 minutes, then going to LTE with three bars. I also had the problem where I had only 1 x signal, while my son standing right next to me has LTE. And he had the same questions, where I'm on LTE and it gets no signal. I use to have LTE where I live and work all the time, now it's spotty at best. Apple has replaced me and my sons iPhones but not luck. Still do. Any ideas or an any other suffering?

    (1) go to settings/cell phone/cellular data Options/enable LTE and select ONLY the DATA. This seems to solve the problem (as a temporary solution) for most of the people affected by this problem. The bad part is your request might not be as clear (since they cannot use the highest LTE signals) and you can make calls and data at the same time. But it does not solve the issue.

    (2) there are rumors (but you didn't hear that from me that we only are not supposed to discuss beta software program Apple in this forum) that the new version of Apple Beta for iOS (which also includes an update of the software carrier Verizon to 26.0) seems to solve this problem. So, there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
