original title: problem with Aero PEAK

Aero peak has stopped working in the taskbar.  I now see a list instead of a window that displays the web sites open.

Aero Peak is for Win7, unless you have used the advantage utility 3rd for install in Vista.

  • Qosmio G50 - 10 H: Aero stopped working & Dynadock mirror adapter - SOLUTION

In case someone needs to know, that is what happened (Aero stopped working) and how it was resolved.

1 / 10-Mar-09, Aero works perfectly. Dynadock attached. Dual displays connected to the Qismio not the Dynadock.

2 / Windows Update has taken place. (I see nothing in the newspaper of the relevance of the problem).

3 / 11 March 09, Aero stopped working with one time message, part reads "... driver mirror found...". ».

4 / google this to death with only a vague tip with any sense. "The graphics adapter does not support the Aero...

5 / yes I checked Nvidia drivers; no change is there made. I checked the Dynadock Dislaylink device in Device Manager. There was a device called "DisplayLink mirror adapter". I disabled it, restarted and lo - there's Aero again

When I go the Dynadock, I connect the DVI monitor to the Dynadock with the always off mirror adapter and see if Aero still works.

As to why it happened all of a sudden...

Hope this helps someone frustrated by this nonsense,

    Hi Rick,

It is clear with the message that it's a mirror driver that is causing the problem

mirror is normally installed by remote desktop programs and a few other types

example: readers such as JAWS, Window-Eyes and FreedomBox; the monitoring software LanSchool; and remote desktop like LogMeIn, UltraVNC, TightVNC and Radmin software.

The display driver that you said something about RDPP string and mirage pilot etc.

Check if you have in programs and features and uninstall, if not, uninstall the driver from Device Manager display (checkbox to delete files when uninstalling it), then download the original driver from the dell website and install it (I prefer the first pilot who was published and not the last)

    Hope this helps,

So, my cousins both got two netbooks for Christmas so I took it upon myself to put in place. However, I seem to have problems with getting Homegroup to work.

    All computers:
    Have enabled IPv6
Use Microsoft Security Essentials with the last update
Are connected to the same router (Linksys WRT54GX2)
Have no other third-party firewalls or AV installed and have been neatly eliminated via their respective tools when they had their

Have the correct date and time and are all in sync with time.nist.gov.
Have the same network sharing settings (network discovery on, files and printers sharing folders public, sharing, streaming, wide, 128-bit encryption, sharing password protected, to allow windows to manage the homegroup connections)
Network is set at home, not in public

The computer that has implemented the homegroup is connected via ethernet to the router while other computers use to access the router 802.11 g I tried to delete and redo the residential group as well.

Despite all this, it is said that the homegroup password is incorrect for both netbooks (where it says it has encountered an error). I realize that it is case sensitive and I entered the password correctly. I also ran the resolution of the problems of the homegroup on all 3 machines and still no luck. I also tried to change the password and restarting of machines.

Any suggestions? I was _really_ hoping it will work right out of the box. Maybe it's something with the router? I don't really know. Any help is appreciated. Merry Christmas! : D

  • Aero stopped working on HP Envy 14-1000

Aero worked fine until a couple of days and now it has stopped working.  I don't think I did anything that could have messed up.

I use Windows 7 64-bit on an HP Envy 14-1000.

I ran the resolution of problems in the customization of Windows menu, and it came with nothing.  I ran FixIt's online tool that Microsoft provides and he told me that my 'graphics card does not support the required display settings."  It's an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650.  Of course he can't stand because he has worked since I the machine several years ago.

I've updated the video drivers both using the HP Support Assistant and manually and am currently using the reference AMD 9.2 drivers.

I ran the last DirectX User runtimes to ensure that my directx is not defective and it is fine.

Finally, the steam (gaming service) notes my Version of the DirectX driver as 8.5.6.31854.  Don't know if it's relevant, but it seems that maybe why Windows is not a DirectX 9 compatible card.

    Any help is appreciated.

So, apparently, it's the basic of DisplayLink software.  I tried to start a game of twice as much steam and both times it crashed (so I thought it would look if same Aero does not display properly).  After the second accident, however, Windows popped up an error message saying that the basic of DisplayLink software crashed and that there is an update that fixes this particular bug.  I went to the website, installed the update and it fixed Aero.

    Hope that helps someone.

If the problem is solved, check what is the cause of the problem, referring to the link given below:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue. On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

You ever need connect your device directly. Buy a card reader for
the type of flash card your camera uses (they are cheap).
Place the flash card and plug it into a USB port.

Personally, I prefer to do it this way. It is easier and does not use
the camera battery. I have both these card readers - one I keep on
my desk, close my desktop computer and another that I keep in my
Bag for laptop to use when traveling.

  • Problems with Windows7 Aero desktop effects

I recently installed O2 mobile broadband (in Ireland). Since I installed the program, if the program runs Windows Aero features do not work correctly. Aero snap etc still works, but when windows dragging them to disappear are represented by a wire frame. Similarly, when using Aero snap the transparency of the windows is no longer happens, once again just a dull picture of the window. If I close the program broadband O2 that is is no longer the case. Any ideas why this could be?

    Hello

    Method 1.
If your computer has some problems running the Aero visual experience, which includes effects such as transparency, try to use the Aero Troubleshooter to fix the problem. It searches the current compatibility issues with running Aero, such as the color of your computer, theme and power settings and the video card in your computer.

To get the procedure run the troubleshooter, please refer to the article below.

    Method 2.
It is possible that this program is the cause of the conflict and does not block only not this part of the aero feature. Maybe also, this program is not compatible with Windows 7, or it the aero features. Check the properties of this program and find if there is an option to disable the functions of theme.
    Here's how:
    a. navigate to the folder program files in the system drive and the search for this program and right click on the .exe program file, and then click Properties.
    b. check if there is no option to disable the theme and its effects.

    I hope this helps.
