  Dear Sirs,

  Due to some problems with an engineering program I had to reinstall Windows 10 on my laptop. The version of Windows is the same of the one installed on the laptop when I bought it. Before the laptop with HDMI audio installation worked fine, but then, while the HDMI video continues to work well, the audio turns off directly from the laptop, such that the cable was not connected.

  I tried to activate the 'reproduction devices' HDMI connection, but I'm not able to do this because it's as if the cable is not connected, and the HDMI connection icon appears as gray.

  I tried to update the audio driver, but it didn't work, so I tried to download and install the latest version of these drivers from the hp site but neither this worked.

  Can you help me? The laptop is quite new and I would like to solve this problem without using 2 different cables to connect also a speaker with a cable to the because the HDMI does not work as it should.

• Problems with the Firewire Audio Interfaces

  I use a Presonus Firebox for all of my recording and playback. I just bought a new pc HP with Vista64 and I had problems with my audio since then. Symptoms include random audio dropouts, crackling sounds when you scroll through the menus in my software, no noise at all from windows media, no windows generally sound player. Everything works sometimes, but inevitably fails. Once the audio is de-energized my only solution is to restart the computer, and then it still doesn't work sometimes. I don't understand. My last computer was a couple of years and built the hand. It worked perfectly with this unit until the motherboard is dead after what I bought my new HP desktop with terrible results. The main difference between my pc and this one is that I was using XP and XP64. However, I have the right drivers for the home and the computer recognizes it but I can't operate consistantly and correctly. This new HP has more power than my last, and more then enough power for my needs recording software. I would like to know, I've been recording music on PC for 8 years. Any advice would be welcome.

  I am now convinced that the long nightmare is finally over. I tested my home over and over again with no failures. Record and playback midi seem to work perfectly. Here's what I did:
  
  1 optimized my computer for audio streaming using the guide written by sweetwater.com.
  
  2 uninstall all the drivers from Presonus and all software, including the removal of all PreSonus files on the registry using the instructions provided by the technical support of PreSonus.
  
  3 disabled WLAN and then physically disconnected from the motherboard.
  
  4. my computer has two firewire ports. The front port was connected to the motherboard via a short cable. I physically unplugged the cable from the motherboard.
  
  5. I bought an Express(1x) PCI firewire 400 card with a Texas Instruments chipset. The exact brand is inner Pro PCI Express(1x) 4 port 1394 a. The firewire card is a power port. I plugged the power jack on the same line, connected to the DVD player. I don't know if it's important, but I'll try to document EXACTLY what I did. The firewire card requires no driver work. It came with a disc with a B.S. video editing software I was not installed.
  
  6. I turned on my computer and disabled the built-in firewire in Device Manager, leaving only the new active firewire card.
  
  7. I installed the drivers from the Firebox from the original disc supplied with my unit (v1.20.0). I had good results from these pilots in the past that may be because I use XPsp2.
  
  8. I have connected the combustion chamber when prompted to by the installation software.
  
  9. rebooted the computer with the combustion chamber connected and everything's fine.

  Are you facing this problem with ITunes?

  Try to set up the device in the default playback tab and check whether the problem is resolved.

  1. Open Audio devices and sound themes by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, hardware and sound, and then clicking sound.
  2. click on the playback tab, click speakers and set its default value.

  Check whether the problem is resolved.

  Try to play music using Windows media player and check if it works.

  If you are facing this problem with ITunes, you may have to uninstall and reinstall the program ITunes that could help you to fix the program.

  If this does not work, I suggest you to contact Apple for assistance. Unfortunately, we can not help with third party software/hardware changes.

I have problems with the audio video synchronization when using Windows Movie Maker, version 6.0, I 'get' raw AVCHD files to .wmv using voltaic HD.  I've noticed that the audio and video are out of sync, ONLY after the first thumbnail.  No indirect problem with videos, but when people talk to the camera, in case of DISASTER, as he is out of sync. • Problems with error Windows Audio and Control Panel "one or more of the audio service is not running.

  I'm a bit of a technophobe, but I'll try to explain my problem, I got better.  I recently had a problem with Windows 8 and refreshed my system.  After refreshing, I installed AVG Anti-virus and that's where my problems really started.  After installing AVG I have no sound and my control panel usually pop up.  The box is displayed but there is nothing in it and it sorts just of sticks, frozen.  I tried the fixes recommended to fix my sound. The speaker in my taskbar icon has a red x on it and when I try to open it it goes right to the problem-solving mode, then comes up with "one or more of the audio service is not running.  When I try "run services.msc' and try to start Windows Audio through Services I get error 0x800706cc.  I tried to uninstall AVG and reboot, but it did make a difference.  Please help, this leads me to the madness now.  Nothing I try seems to work!

  Installation of AVG is when the problems started, I would start by undoing that.  Since the normal uninstall did not help, use system restore to return to a work situation.  Check here and use the #1 option.

• Problems with Dolby Advanced Audio with E530

  Today, Lenovo and updated software drivers made some updates. And after that Dolby Advanced Audio not working anymore, and because of that, I think, I can't launch any music that is in the computer and video which are in my computer play with no sound.

  The error:
  «Dolby audio driver is 7.2.8000.13 and the software application expects that the version of the driver 7.2.7000.11.» Please install a pilot application and software combination valid. »

  So the problem is that I can't find version 7.2.7000.11 to download drivers or software that allows to launch with 7.2.8000.13 version. And BTW, backup is not yet done for my laptop.

  Although he was initially described as an E430 problem, several members report the same problem with their E530s, similar to you. It was noted in the thread with uninstall Conexant Audio Control Panel and reboot fixed the problem of the Dolby Audio.

  I personally don't have an E-series to test this point, but it can help out you.

• Another of the problems with 5.1 audio.

  I have CS5 64-bit. I am interested in the process 1920 x 1080 5.1 MTS files from my Sony camcorder ordinary 25 p Blue-ray Disc to use domestic.

  I got CS5 degrades audio 2-channel and one way is to use external software. What we can expect from these "cheap" software? In addition to solutions for experts, I have found that recommendations plugin Forum - SurCode or MainConcept. I decided because of the reputation of the encoder from MainConcept.

  My projects consist of Photoshop in the menu and chapters I encode separately and I import encoded in yet.

  First solution was to encode chapters by MainConcept Advanced Export. I found the specs which still accepted as not transcode. Unfortunately, after the beginning of construction of project in Encore, I got error "error in Blue-ray:"file already exists", Code:"6", note:"video buffer overruns. " Flow rate is too high total near time = xxxx. "Of course I used the same setting to MainConcept bitrate for H.264 Blu - ray encoding format and I don't have this problem with H.264 Blu - ray. I should add that MainConcept encoder has been remarkably faster than the built in PP, probably because of better using the GPU. I have Nvidia 460 (registered CUDA). The GPU temperature was 5 degrees higher with MainConcept. Encoded files are slightly smaller, and I don't see a difference in quality.

  My second solution was to combine M4V video to the H.264 Blu - ray and audio AC3 of MainConcept Advanced Export format. I found the combination that works for single chapter. If there is only 1 chapter in project, again built directly streams and audio is 6ch. If there are more chapters, yet rebuilt (indeed degrading) 2 channel.

  Third solution is to have only 1 large chapter with chapter marks yet, but it is too big cake to encode 25 GB in 1 sitting.

  Fourth solution is to switch to Sony Vegas. I was happy with CS3 for DVD user and I don't check the weaknesses of CS5 comparing Vegas before you spend the money for CS5. Sony Vegas (not Pro) is cheaper than SurCode plugin.

  The best solution is to find the compatibility of MainConcept and still not have encoding (1 video, 1 for audio) 2. MainConcept is registered plugin and it seems that I made a mistake in the settings. Even with the solution to combine audio and video of different coding I can survive.

  There was an article, a little more than a year before, for a poor man SurCode." The author of this article to create a compatible DVD/BD 5.1 SS Audio freeware. I don't remember the screen name of the writer, but think that there are several links to this thread on the forum.

  As I have the SurCode DD 5.1 SS plugin and love it, I have to admit that I did not follow this article closely, so when you find it, I can't guarantee how well or badly, it might work. Seems that some answers were less then free of the process, but I've never tried.

  As the SurCode plugin works perfectly, and transparently, I've never had a reason to look beyond. Maybe others can point you in the right direction, but suggest that you do a search of this forum, to try to locate this freeware workflow.

• Problems with Clone Tool / Content Aware Scaling in CS4 Mac

  I use PS for about 1 year and a half.  Sort of an advanced beginner.  One of the things I like is the clone tool.  Since I upgraded to CS4 I had that problems with the clone tool.  When I go on an area it shows nothing and him either proceeds with adjustments after a significant delay or it goes black and then comes back with the adaptation.  Sometimes when I'm dragging the brush the whole picture is now replaced by a smear of the color noise.  It really makes the tool unusable.  In many cases, I went back to CS3.

  I also have similar problems with the scale content.  Never been able to make it work.  Basically, some of the best new features of CS4 are worthless for me.  Tried to watch the Adobe solution and search for forums but I didn't no exactly similar problem solutions.

  Any help appreciated.  I have a white 24' Mac Intel with a double frequency of 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 with 3 GB of RAM.

  You have successfully updated to 11.0.1?

  I have an audio interface, Presonus Firestudio Project, which connects via Firewire to my Lenovo SL500. On the Sl500 is Windows 7 x 86 installed. I have also 2 rudders (Akai APC20 and M-Audio UC33e), 1 Midi Interface and a kvm switch connected via USB.

  Almost everytime I make music with Cubase or Ableton Live I get holes in my audio stream. Audio playback stops just freezes for 1-10 seconds and the surface of my DAW. This becomes especially annoying when I record.

  Recently, I have disabled all devices in the BIOS except for Firewire and USB, but I am always running into the same problem. Then I got a look at the system information for Windows 7 and the saw - problems/sharing section - USB and Firewire to share the same IRQ. I'm almost certain that this is the problem causing the audio gaps.

  Is there a way to chanmge in Lenovo Sl500 BIOS IRQ settings?

  After Plug and install a USB audio interface that I borrowed from a friend, I noticed that whenever I changed my KVM switch to the surface of the other PC Ableton froze for a second. The audio stream on the other hand kept and just as it was supposed to.

  The KVM switch is a "Digitus Pocket 2-port USB KVM switch" model No. "DS-11402-1".» This KVM switch seem to be a kind of diffusion in the USB bus which then interrupts the audio stream running on Firewire.

  I had reinstalled the OS and everything is ok now :) computer was full of malware.
