The problem is that when I drag or copy and paste into a new document images will move but new text will not work with the images.

  Lightroom is a database; not a file browser. A file Explorer "focuses on" your records, sees that the pictures are here and allows you to work with them. Lightroom does not. He knows only the photos that have been imported into Lightroom.   I use lightroom 4 on a 2008 Mac Pro installed the latest version of MAC OS x.

  Now, when I try to import photos from my Canon camera D 5 (the original 5 d) it keeps saying that there is no file to be imported.

  I tried unchecking the duplicates don't Import suspected and still it did not help.

  I formatted my card full CF in camera, took some new photos and always the same question.

  When this happens after that I have say ok, the option to import is greayed out completely and I have to restart Lightroom for it to work again or try the import.

  I also have a secondary problem - when I connect my camera LR3 used to invite me to import the photos automatically. LR4 is not to do so.

  I went to the image capture and did LR4 the default application to open when I connect the camera and LR4 opens quickly, but don't bring up the import screen.

  This problem has been fixed in Lightroom 4.1, which is now available.  To download the 4.1 update, go to the Help menu in Lightroom and choose "Check for Updates".

  I can scan using the HP Officejet J3680, but the images are too large to email. I tried scanning the documents in TIFF files, PDF files, JPEG files, and they all do the same thing. I recently bought a computer from Gateway with Windows 7 already installed. My last computer has XP and worked very well with the same material. I updated the drivers and downloaded the HP Solutions Center, and nothing seems to help. I have cause to scan and send documents frequently and it is very frustrating.
