problem with z-index in IE6

Hi all

I have a drop down calendar menu. It works perfect in FF and IE7 but in IE6 calendar goes behind the drop-down list box.

Hello

XMLQuery returns an XMLType instance.
You will need getNumberVal() method to retrieve the value as a number:

declare
i integer;
begin
select XMLQuery('fn:index-of((10, 20, 30, 30, 10), 20)[1]' returning content).getNumberVal() into i from dual;

Hello

I know that in some situations, the table of contents is strange and somehow, that also affects the Index. Peter Grainge was an update for it and it can help you too.

When you get out, go to model/scripts. Replace the file toctree.js with the file that you downloaded and see if that makes a difference. It did for me.

• Problems with the indexing of the files on my hard drive

Hello world

I am a newbie to oracle and I try to index files from my hard drive with the oracle text. After that I created a simple text file (path: "c:\tmp\test.txt") and filled with a short text, I executed the following lines without error message:

Grant connect, resources, myuser ctxapp;
create table myuser.testtab (id number primary, key BFILE text);
create or replace directory test_dir as "c:\tmp";
grant read on the myuser test_dir directory;
insert into myuser.testtab (id, text) values (1, BFILENAME ('test_dir', 'test.txt'));
create index myuser.idx_test on myuser.testtab (text) indextype is ctxsys.context;

the record in the table testtab is stored, but the index table is empty. After that I tried to get information on the bfile with java, I got a SQLException with the error ORA-22285 Code after you run the following lines:

File of type BFILE = null;
try {}
RSet = stmt.executeQuery ("select text from testtab where id = 1");
If (rset.next ()) {}
file = (rset) .getBFILE (1) (OracleResultSet);
System.out.println ("result from fileExists:" + file.fileExists ()); This is the line where the exception is thrown
}

e.printStackTrace ();
}

I would be obliged for more information on this problem.

Thanks in advance,

• Problem with display site in IE6

Hey guys.

I have worked on the Web site of my uncles for a while now, and one thing I've learned that I seriously hate is browser compatibility.

I've worked through most of the problems, but it remains. I've searched around, but have not been able to find something about it.

The site works fine in IE7 and Mozilla Firefox, but when you view the home page in IE6, the left side of the page is positioned under the end of the right-hand side of the page, when they really should be next to each other

I would be grateful for any help, but please try and keep it simple as I am only a beginner.

Thank you.

• Problem with CREATE INDEX script

Hello world!
I want to create a 3D Spatial Index. So I added a few lines (PARAMETERS ('sdo_indx_dims = 3')) in the following script, I get the error

PLS-00103: encountered the symbol "SETTINGS" then wait for the following :), * & = - + <>.
PLS-00103: encountered the symbol "SDO_INDX_DIMS" then wait for the following :), * & = - + <>.

Everything works well, if I remove the PARAMETERS ('sdo_index_dims = 3').
I know that I need a few symbols, but I'm not good in programming

in a string, you must make to a single quote, two quotes, then do this:

-- create spatial indexes
--
procedure create_index is
newIndex user_indexes.index_name%type;
begin

• problem with z-index/layer

I have an animation Im trying to use a canvas file. I want to place it between the two previously placed in the foreground image and a background image. I tried to put the script in the middle layer of the timeline, this doesn't work. I then tried a Flash thing and put the script in a Movie Clip and put it in the middle tier, but that has not worked eithier. It seems to run/place the code at the highest level, and then something else is placed according to the layers animate? Is there a way set the animation to a certain level/hierarchy/layer?

Very Oy.

Look your particles are appearing on top of everything else because you're adding them directly to the root stage object. To make them appear under other things, you must add them to an object container instead. Just create an empty movieclip to the effect, place it on the stage at the desired depth and name. So instead of this:

stage.addChild (snow);

Follow these steps:

this.myParticleEffectContainer.addChild (snow);

In fact it's a little more complicated than that. For reasons that I'm cutting on at the moment, "this" functions declared in this way are defined in the object browser window, even if they have access to the variables in the local scope. You must set an alias from local to the container object. In addition, there is no reason to 'new' in front of the call to create_particles(). And some of your lines, missing the final semicolon. So basically, you use this:

var W = 300;
var H = 250;
var vx = Math.random() * -2 + 1;
var container = this.myParticleEffectContainer;
for (var i = 0; i < 50; i++) {
create_particles();
}

function create_particles() {
snow = new lib.Snow;
snow.x = Math.random() * W;
snow.y = Math.random() * H;
snow.scaleX = snow.scaleY = Math.random() * .8 - .5;
snow.vy = Math.random() * 1 + 2;
container.addChild(snow);
snow.addEventListener("tick", animSnow);
}

function animSnow(event) {
event.target.y += event.target.vy;
event.target.x += vx;
if (event.target.y > 260 || event.target.x > 345 || event.target.x < -30) {
event.target.y = -20;
event.target.x = Math.random() * W;
}
}

• Problems with CHM search & Index after you import the Word Document

Greetings,

I recently inherited from all things RoboHelp at work, but the last person to work with our projects left 6 months ago. I received a brief overview of how our CHM files are from the same word in HR 7 HTML document.

Currently, I use RoboHelp HTML 9, but have problems with the indexing and search of an imported file in Word 2003 (.doc) features. During my import, only a single topic is created and named after the source document. I believe that this may be the root of my problems, but have not had much luck with a solution.

I have stumbled my way through adjustment after adjustment, but feel I'm missing something obvious. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Ken

Background:

Our source documents have a working table of contents and topic structure 1 - 3. When creating a new project and import the document, the table of contents are imported correctly. TOC navigation links seem to work fine.

I used the smart Index Wizard to find new keywords to topic titles and the text of the topic. Unfortunately it seems that import only creates a single, named subject according to the word source document and associates so all the keywords of the unique subject. When you try to navigate the index after the CHM is generated, all the links reference just the beginning of the document.

When you use the search functionality in CHM, only a single result is returned for any search words. This result is always the only subject, as described above. The link to the results always picks you up at the beginning of the document, but highlights the key word throughout the document.

When you import there is an Advanced button in any of the dialog boxes. Click and you'll be able to Paginate against selected styles. That will stop your document in the headings.

• Performance problem of creating index with LOB/CLOB content

Hello

I have a problem with indexing performance with a table containing columns of text
also a clob and a lob column.

Indexing with 20,000 lines takes about 1 hour on 11.2.0.4 with the last batch of patches 12 on
win x 64.

on a 11.2.0.1, the process is done in a few minutes.

So what can I do to find out where is the problem?

I use filter auto and basic lexer.
Operating system is W 2008 R2 SP and latest patches. OS lang is English.
DB is installed with AL32UTF8 and German and English language packs.

also watched and ctx_user_index_errors and pending and there is no error or waiting in lines.
After the index is created, everything works fine. during the creation of index no other user is connected to the database.

so why 11.2.0.1 is so much faster than 11.2.0.4?
some advice for me?

Thank you!

Hello

so I solved all my problems.

So I made two changes:

1. I declared the variable theNotiz2 for recording the output for the raw text of the column NOTIZ (is a clob), add the output to the Out-Clob parameter

2. I used the same variable for the--> this blob field caused an error with line with lob is not locked... so I said a second variable for this and that solved the problem.

normally, I think it should work with 1 variable... but is an acceptable workaround.

Performance now is OK because the procedure, I can set on which the documents I want to do a search or not.

Second thing, but has nothing to do with Oracle: my frontend application makes a ZIP for each insert in a column lob and if the ctxhx does not index the content, the MDC, and before calling the conversion of plain text, so I have to make a decompression of the blob...

so for now, all problems solved. Thank you for your support.

• manage the z-index property in the chrome browser (was: is there another problem with Chrome?)

Hello

I wonder is there another problem with Edge and Chrome.

I know that something got sorted out but now I have a problem with rectangles (such as the hitboxes) not appearing is not in Chrome.

Anyone know why this is happening?

Hi Robyn,

Looks like a problem with chrome. He is not able to manage the z-index property (although set) in this case. Due to which the user is not able to click on the button that is hidden by another element.

There is a workaround solution you can do on board animate:

You simply select the item named "s_cpl_fa_nav_x2" in the Panel edge ' Elements' animate and drag just below the element named "s_cpl_fa_0_guide_page1" and delete the selected item. This will place the first below the latter, with regard to the stacking order of the UI, and so the click event will work.

I hope this works.

• z index / layer of problems with the new YouTube widget!

Hello!

I am facing a problem with the new 'youtube' of social media widget. I currently have two layers in my projects. This is a project for which the menu scrolls initially and then sticks to the top of scrolling parallax. By continuing to scroll, the embedded YouTube video widget does not scroll under the menu as it should but scrolls through the menu. It's strange, as the YouTube widget was placed on level 1 and the menu is at level 2. Shouldn't the menu then always be on top? Only the new widget is not properly defined index-z?

You can check my web project (and look at the code) here: http://www.firstlight.at

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I managed to solve the problem, and I believe this to certainly be a bug in Muse...

In order to avoid widgets Youtube iframed swim on top of all the other div tags, I had to change the code, add wmode = "transparent" and wmode = "Opaque" to the class of the iframe. This works if you replace all the other parameters behind the CBC "&" by "& amp"tag.

Here's the original code generated by Muse. This could not prevent my "2nd layer" slip below "Layer 1".

Makes the following changes to the code, forced the Youtube widget below all other div again (I pinned all changes to "BOLD", so you can see the changes easily):

Ensure that you do not miss the following change: you need to change all of the vipers '&' to '& amp' this procedure will not work!

After the new version, I'm sure the Adobe team is working hard to bust of bug last version. But I hope that we will be dismantled soon, otherwise users using the youtube widget will have to recode output Muse whenever we make a change and it is exactly what is the Muse striving to prevent (; After all, in Dreamweaver, you can hardcode the change and he would stick!

I have my site almost finished, but I am still having problems with his display in Internet Explorer. Navigation bar (spry menu) has a white top box and you can see the text when you place on it. (I think this has to do with the z-index? I read solutions of div tags can be added around the problematic code, add the position: absolute; before the z-index. However, I don't know how to do that because I did the Web site in design mode and did not work with the code a lot.) In addition, the there are boxes around the images that have been inserted - why is - this? None of this appears in Modzilla. It looks fine in Chrome as well... Why is it so bad in IE? !! Any help would be much appreciated as it was our hope to have the site officially 'live' earlier this week...

Open the file Spry.css and downwards, you will see conditional code or "hacks" IE. Change the default background of #FFF at all what...

• Problem with ie6 displaying different for all other browsers

I just created my site and after test with all browsers except ie6 (stupidly) everything works fine, but for some reason in ie6, it displays incorrectly on this page http://www.flitecarz.co.uk/WD-Postcodes-Covered.html the part of the problem is on the right side where there is a quick navigation to the different postcode areas. If you view it in all browsers except ie6, you'll see how its supposed to work.

If anyone can give me a help any with that I'll always be your debt I've been racking me my brains on this all day and I can't seem to find a soloution.

Assistance to receive the greatly.

Hi guys thanks for your replies but I'm quite Frede and would really like it works and I know it can as it worked previously, but of course I've changed something to achieve.

The main reason for this need to work is I have a few people here who use internet explore 6 and I know I can get them to upgrade, but it shows me just the people to use it. If someone can spot what I did wrong, that would be amazing. I have validated my CSS and my HTML and still no luck.

Add style = "" clear: both; ' to the 'colMid' "

as shown below: (or add clear: both; for the css)
