  The OS Windows and other software cannot run properly without the AppData folder and all of the subfolders under him. So, it is there. In Control Panel select Options of folders on the view tab, check "Show readers, hidden folders and files" under hidden files and folders.

  Then uncheck the "Hide files of the operating system (recommended) protected".

  While your in this dialog, you can also uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types".

  Now when you access your C:\Users\YourUserName username folder you should see the AppData folder.

  • Open Lightroom
  • Go in Edition > Preferences > Performance > uncheck "use graphics processor.
