  My system is running on VMware vSphere 5.1 (most recent) U1.

  I tried to update the host ESX (host State), but it failed with the error message:

  The host returns esxupdate error code: 15. The package manager transaction is not successful. Check the Update Manager logs and logs esxupdate for more details.

  Hello, I have a problema bastante co-writer pero than no encuentro a nadie as haya pasado.

  Instalar los plugins del después "upddate Manager extension" in el virtual Center, y poder encontrarme con nueva Pestaa±ita "Update Manager" beneath should, enable the instalacion consultant «Manage the Plugins»... ' plugins.   If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

  Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.
  After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

  Buenas, tengo unas dudas acerca del parcheado con el Update manager. Antes tenia esx 4.1 y ahora hemos pasado is a cluster a u2 esxi 4.1. • Problem with the plugin Update Manager

  I'm having a problem with the update on my VC Server Manager (2.5 build 104215).  Update Manager is not downloaded updates.  In VC when I go to Plugins it shows that Updae Manager is installed and enabled.  If I remove the check mark for Enabled & then turn it back on, I get a message - "the server could not interpret the customer's request" - but the checkbox reappears.  I also have this message when I run VC on the server, but not from my PC.

  If I right click on the download VMware Update Manager update scheduled task and select Properties, I get a message - "the plugin for this task has not been saved.   All VMware services are started.  The Update Manager

  Why in the name of heaven Adobe can't fix their broken Update Manager? Once more, the update manager tells me that I have updates available, but information is completely false. Two updates are listed: Photoshop CS5, Illustrator CS5 15.0.2 and 12.0.4. The problem is that I'm already under Photoshop 12.0.5 and Illustrator 15.0.2.

  The 12.0.5 security update was released outside of the SECT, which has caused the benefits you see. You can go to help > updates... and then click the preferences at the bottom of the dialog box. Now uncheck the box to display the Ps CS5 updates.

  I've just updated vCetner to 5 and went to upgrade the Update Manager, but the installer says that it cannot connect to the DB.

  The DSN is ok and starts the current updatemanager server.

  Any ideas what could casue that?

  I have a question which I am unable to see the update on my VC tab.  The plugin is installed in the available in the plugin Manager tab, but I am unable to see in the install tab so that I allow it.  Can other people in my team, so I'm a little confused as to why this is the case.

• Update Manager - error connecting to VMware vCenter Update Manager - database temporarily unavailable or has network problems.

  I uninstalled and reinstalled, I triple checked that I can connect on the VCenter server using the account Update Manager DB owner on the Update Manager database. I can connect to SQL using the native client ODBC SQL 2008 under the same account. But we get the same error of several machines when we install and run the plugin VCenter.

  Any ideas?

  If you use Windows authentication to connect to the database, you have to change the user who initially on the virtual center of the Update Manager service. You must put the name of user and password of the user that can connect to the database (by default Update Manager beginning with the Local System account. During the installation if the vCenter Server is on Windows 2008 I think you must also use the FQDN of the server vCenter (or ip address) to be sure it get the right address (something to do with IPv6 on Windows 2008). At least it worked for me.
