  I have elements 9 on a old computer but recently bought a new. I wanted to download items 9 on my new computer. I found the serial number on my account and downloaded the software, but it does not install. Normally on a mac you just drag it on the hard drive to install. There is no option.   I can't get the client to install on my mac and I'm running out of ideas as to what is happening.  The 5.5.2 client seems to work very well and if I broadcast the 6.0.1 client that also seems to work.  I can not get the local installation to run.  I always get the message "Unable to connect to host" when I try to run it.  If I go back to the 5.5.2 client it works fine and I can connect to my 5.5.2 instances.

  I also see this error in the Setup log:

  Because if this seems not uninstall it app works and I had to manually cancel the installation (which I might be leaving residues).  I manually remove the file .vmware to my directory and also remove ~/Library/Preferences/.com.zerog.registry.xml then by removing the orchestrator in the front applications folder directory to re-launch the client install.

  I bought Indesign CS6 some time ago, but I wanted to install it in another mac.

  So I uninstall the program in my current mac.

  Then I used the installation CD in another mac, I entered the key, logged in with my adobe account.

  Your license allows you to have two active facilities.  If you want to uninstall you should disable so that you retrieve activation.  Otherwise, it remains in your account as a used activation.  Normally, what you do is open a/the program and choose Help-> Deactivate.  If you have uninstalled then you have lost the ability to disable and need to contact Adobe support via chat and ask them to reset your activations.

  This side, if you have never used an activation then you have still an available for use.  So you should be able to go forward with the new facility.  It's just cleaner to not have unavailable additional activation.

  In regards to the error message flows, I suspect that you left the start of it when he has an Exit Code, if I'm wrong.

  I'm new to mac so this could be a user error, but I was able to install photoshop without problem but with first I get an error message at half way through the installation, that says something like warning. Code 7 output. With several messages DW036 and several DW050.   This error message is a bit misleading. What happened is that CS5 that was issued before the "custodian" is not "signed" and installation is blocked because it is considered to be "unreliable".

  Solution: Temporarily set to "Everywhere" and then open the dmg file.

  I had to delete the folder HD/Library/Frameworks/Adobe AIR framework and it worked!
