Problems installing Acrobat 6.0 and 7.0.

Hello

Acrobat customer services are useless to this subject and told to ask about it here.

I am running windows 8.1

After the death of my old laptop I can't launch the program it gives following error messages.

I installed and unsintalled 6.0 and 7.0 and the installer provided by the service to the customer. Makes no difference. I still get the same message.

I'm going crazy please help:

What installation says:

WARNING 20225. Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Setup was unable to create a new item!

Printer Adobe pdf port.

Adobe PDF printer may be unavailable.

GetLastError: The operation completed successfully.

then he said: it is installed. Finishing.

the program then goes and puts links on desktop etc, but

When you run the program, then he said:

Acrobat.exe application error.

The application failed to start properly (0xc0000fd).

Click ok to close the application.

Acrobat 6 and 7 are compatible only with versions of Windows to the top thanks to Windows XP, 32-bit only.

Technology driver for Windows changed starting with Windows Vista. Combined with problems of 64-bit driver interfaces, the Acrobat 6 and 7 products absolutely can not install and work correctly with the newer versions of Windows. The first version of Acrobat that works with Windows Vista and higher, as well as 64-bit Windows versions is Acrobat 8.1.

If you run Windows 8.x, you really need a newer version of Acrobat. The first version of Acrobat that provides official support for Windows 8.x is 11 Acrobat (no longer available).

For your new computer Windows 8.1, we would recommend that you register Acrobat DC.

  • Installed Acrobat Pro DC and can not uninstall Acrobat Standard 9.5

Ok.  Go to assume this is a Windows based machine on...

Unlicense Acrobat DC (so you don't "burn" a license.)

Uninstall Acrobat DC (programs & features).

    Reset

Try to uninstall Acrobat 9 (once again, programs & features).

Download and run the Adobe Reader Acrobat & Cleaner tool - Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs

    Reset.

Check that the A9 and assorted pieces is really gone.

Try to install ADC.  If it works, the installation of the license.

Another tool that I had a lot of success in cleaning after installs wandering and apps is Priform CCLEANER - CCleaner - optimization of the PC and cleaning - Free Download .  Use at your own risk, but as I said - I had a lot of luck with it.

    I hope this helps.

  • Try installing Acrobat Pro XI and the installer says I already have a more functional version installed.  What I installed is XI Acrobat Standard, but I want to install Acrobat Pro 11.  I owe unitstall Standard for install Pro?

I try to install Acrobat Pro XI, but the installer says I already have a more functional version installed. What is installed on my PC is Acrobat XI Standard, which I don't consider to be a more functional version. What I actually need to uninstall the version Standard in order to be able to install the Pro version?

Ugh!  I have PitStop Pro 12 installed in Acrobat Standard XI as a 3rd party plug-ins.  Do you know by chance that will survive the uninstalling XI standard and installed in XI Pro?

If this isn't the case, then I have to turn off before the Standard uninstall, reinstall it after the installation of Pro and then re-enable it.

Even though I hate the answer you provided, thank you to answer and do it very quickly.

  • Please help me understand the problem installing Acrobat Standard Xl with C++?

I have an error message: "Visual C ++ 2010 (x 64) Runtime missing: Insralling Acrobat via MSI will not install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x 64) SP1 runtime." With this, some features of the application will not work. You can try to install using set.exe if not already done. Press OK to ignore and continue nevertheless or Cancel to stop the installation. »

I went to the Adobe help page on this topic. I tried to install the Microsoft C++ via the link, and a message simply offers a repair, which I chose. That made no difference - same error message when I try to install Acrobat.

I do not understand because I see that I tried indeed to install using setup.exe - according to the directives of the disc. I couldn't find the vc - red.msi in VC10RT_x64 to re - install...

Can someone help me with what to do else? I'm not an irritable person, just someone trying to do things...

Put the CD and cancel the automatic installer.

Use Windows Explorer to examine the contents of the CD, find the Setup.exe and then run that. I don't know if that will fix it, but that's my point of view on what the message says.

  • Need help to install Acrobat XI student and Teacher Edition Windows Vista

    Hello

After spending the best part of two evenings trying to install this product, I'm at my wit's end.  I purchased as a download from Amazon and the cost is nonrefundable, so if I can't get it running I basically lost £76!  I would really appreciate the help.

My OS is Windows Vista.  I am trying to install this on my C drive, which has 17.6 GB of space.

Download the product from Amazon is no problem, but when I come to install I get the following message:

"Adobe Application Manager, needed to verify your license is missing or damaged.  Please download a copy of Adobe Application Manager of http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager " "

When I downloaded the Manager, I get a message to download Adobe Support Advisor.  This gives the following error messages:

The installation program "cpsid_82829s1: a reboot is pending", the bootstrapper error has occurred.

When I click on the link to corrective action this basically tells me to reboot after I found and deleted the InProgressKey.  However, the InProgressKey is not found, and no amount of restarting solves the problem.

I tried an uninstall (so I could reinstall to see if that solved the problem), but which gives the message:

"Error 1321.  The installer has sufficient privileges to modify the file C:\Program Files\Fichiers Files\Adobe\HelpCfg\en_US\Acrobat_Pro.helpcfg"

When I tried to manually delete this file I "Access denied folder - you need permission to perform this action."

(I am the administrator on that computer).

I downloaded the Adobe clean uninstall tool (I forgot what it's called), uninstall has been successful using this tool, I did another reboot and then downloaded again the product from Amazon - but the same problems occurred as described above.

I'm just going along in circles here and not do anywhere.  Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

    Thank you very much.

  • Problem with Acrobat shared review and SharePoint

Have led to revisions shared using Acrobat/SharePoint with our internal team of business for a while now with great success. Now make us a few comments with external partners (several companies) and difficulties. They all contribute to our SharePoint site. They can initiate the review, but they see the error message that they cannot connect to the server of the review.

I even had a test created for me account and attempted to access at home (not the VPN). I tried IE8 and Firefox. I added our root of the SharePoint site to the list of trusted sites in the tab 'Security' of the dialog settings IE. Nothing did. We are about to return to what our partners to work offline and e-mail in their comments, but we would of course rather to solve the problem.

It was suggested that it might be our firewall. If this is the case, nobody knows of documentation that would explain what mods should be implemented? Remember, however, that everyone can access all parts of the SharePoint site. I can even click on the review document in the Shared Documents library to launch the file, but still cannot connect to the server of the review.

It turns out that our problem was that we weren't a public certificate installed on this server. Once we have installed one, our partners outside the firewall were able to participate in online reviews.

  • Problem with Acrobat 9 Pro and Word 2007

I just installed 9 and cannot print on the Distiller I was able to do with 5.  Word generates the error message: "Windows cannot print due to a problem with the installation of the current printer."

I reinstalled the software and updates, etc.

    Answer would be most appreciated!

    Thank you!

I think I posted this issue in Windows Server, which would be probably wrong... Please forgive me for double posting.

This is because the name of the printer is the printer Adobe PDF, not the Acrobat Distiller printer. It is a name change so that confusion does not exist on the print driver and the program to distill. Create the PDF button is a Preprocess to the printer, as it was in use with WORD AA5. This key, officially called the PDF Maker, adds a lot of functionality, but can add things that are unnecessary and cause bloating. Check the preferences to see what you add.
