Problems of compatibility of memory on Acer Aspire E5 - 511

Well it seems cannot use my ram on this laptop for some strange reason?

Tracker

Hynix HMT451S6AFR8A-PB 4 GB PC3 - 12800 DDR3 - 1600 MHz / Hynix HMT425S6AFR6A-PB 2GB PC3 - 12800 DDR3 - 1600 MHz

Also when tried two of them into the two slots gives me a black screen or ram that needs to be the same at the start, that they the same as only 2 GB and the other is 4 GB...

Also tested this ram on another system and perfectly good bed? Seem, acer should do another update of bios on storage medium?

Looking up from your system. I find it is not supported to run different Ram size. even if everything matches in addition to the size...

So 2 + 2 or 4 + 4 would work. and also a simple 8 to a maximum of 8 supported...

Not everything is done the same thing. Until a computer may be able to do another may not.

Hope this helps some

James

    Hello

I did it (photo brands<>brands of procedure):

  • ACER ASPIRE E5-511-ADD DEVICE USING THE UEFI BOOT.

Hello. I bought a laptop Acer Aspire with Linux preinstalled E5-511. I want to install windows 8.1.

I created with Rufus TPG bootable USB flash with win8.1 image. UEFI mode the laptop does not recognize the USB, I have turned off secure boot, put the USB - HDD on the top of the boot priority but in vain.

In legacy BIOS mode, I can boot and install windows, but the touchpad mouse does not work, only the USB mouse functions.

How can I add UEFI boot USB flash?

    Thank you in advance.

You did right, but sometimes the USB interfaces are not recognized by the system, I had some problems with a pair of USB pen which has not worked as a boot device, but another one worked smoothly.

don't forget to have your HDD or USB pen in FAT32.

  • Acer Aspire E5-511 thought, it was too good to last. Laptop turns off when loading?

The battery fell to 65% so I plugged in and turned on the charger, the screen went white and laptop off.   Laptop and charger switch off will be on again.   Catch 22 situation.   I'm starting to regret buying an other Acer Aspire.  Would be grateful for the help?

Machine took to curries, Ollie fixed in a few minutes, the fault due to the update of Windows 10 and pilot - fixed by adjusting the brightness.

  • type of memory for acer aspire E15 E5 - 574 G-75N8

Hi, I'm trying to understand what type of memory, I have so that I can get a 2nd dimm and update my laptop aspire.  My computer says I have 8 GB memory DDR3 L and I downloaded CPU - Z and it says I have Kingston KTD ACR16D3LS1KNG / 8G (PC3-12800, 800 mhz, DDR3, 8192MBytes).  However, when you run a search on the web or the site of Kingston, I can't find this part number and most of the memory of 8 GB that I find is 1600 MHz, not the 800 mhz CPU - Z indicating that my bandwidth max is.  I guess I can't use two different speeds.  Anyone know if the memory displayed information are correct for this laptop or how to proceed from here to get a 2nd dimm to upgrade?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

    Your laptop supports up to 16 GB - DDR3L - 1600 MHz (2x8Gb).

    • Memory module, it operates in single channel (1600/2 = 800 MHz).
    • Two modules of memory, they work in dual channel so 1600 MHz.

    Compatible memory modules:

    Kingston

  • Acer Aspire E5 - 511. move the mouse/Touchpad cursor, but will not open other than McAfee programs.

Just bought this laptop, original thought it was a big improvement on my Aspire 3 year!   Last problem after doing a full scan with McAfee is the touch pad or remote control will move the cursor but will not open other than McAfee programs.   The Windows (bottom left) symbol does not illuminate when the cursor is over it and I am unable to use the windows key + C to get the bar of charms.

For the background, I couldn't install windows updates since I got this computer, two days, so do a scan to look for the reasons.

Thanks for your suggestion Acer-Justin.   Sorted by switching off / reset the keyboard.   Problem sorted update using Microsoft who has found a problem with the update system and then installed Windows 10 - everything looks ok at the moment.

  • Upgrade Acer Aspire E5 - 452G memory?

Guys, I have a little problem with my new Acer Aspire E5 - 452G.

She founded on AMD FX8800P dual graphic carrizo 335 R5 and R7

The problem is with the 3d games as performance is not very good at all.

    I'm under DOTA2@720P without AA and SHADOW-BASS.

    Other options are maximum.

    My framerate is around 20-50.

My laptop has only a Memorystick (8GB), thus, it runs on a single channel.

I was wondering, if it is possible for me to upgade to 16GB (8 GB X 2) dual channel?

If Yes, will gain more framerate? and what stick/types of memory will be useful to my laptop?

Can I buy memory somewhere on the internet and add it to my laptop by myself without void my warranty?

    Thank you guys

    WaYTarN

    waytarn,

This laptop shows that it supports a maximum of 16 GB of DDR3L (1.35 V) 1333/1600 204 pin memory using two 8 GB modules. Your guarantee will be cancelled if you added memory, just be careful and do any damage.

We have tested the following modules of 8 GB of memory in this system:

    Kingston

    ACR16D3LS1KNG / 8G

    Samsung

    M471B1G73EB0-YK0

    Hynix

  • Acer Aspire R7 update - 571 RAM memory

I have an Acer Aspire R7-571. On the card it says that the RAM can be extended up to 12 GB of RAM. I can still put 16 Meg RAM? Would it be more useful or would that be a problem? Right now I have 2 x 4 GB. Thank you

First of all, you shouldn't need more than 8 GB total unless you do something REMARKABLY memory-intensive. My high-end desktop computer has 8 GB and it would be cheap and easy for me to change that to 16 GB, but it is simply not worth it. 8GB is fine for 98% of the population, if your uses include office, even high-end navigation on Internet or games.

If YOU really need more than 8 GB, I think that you will be limited to 12 GB. On the R7, 4 GB tends to be soldered on the motherboard. You can replace your other 4 GB SODIMM with a 8GB SODIMM for 12GB total.

You can always get a torx screwdriver and open it to look.

But you should be fine with 8.

If you are looking for a performance boost, according to this Factsheet you linked, the R7-571 in your country does understand not all SSD. You should have a port empty MSATA that you can use with an MSATA SSD. Pass your windows the 1 TB HDD for an MSATA SSD will make much more sensitive.
