  Hey everybody,

  I do a lot of green overlay inside After Effects with the Keylight plugin. Then I pass this comp to Premiere Pro where I do the editing. I really like this workflow, but my system has trouble reading the images in real time inside Premiere Pro. I must point out that I work with the Lumix GH4 in 4K (native). Here is a list of my current hardware:

  • CPU: Intel i7 3930 k (3.2 Ghz, 6 hearts)
  • Memory: 8GBDDR Crusial 1600 Mhz (x 4 = 32 GB total RAM)
  • Scratch disk: WD 7200 RPM in a RAID5 configuration
  • Application disc: Crusial M4 SSD
  • GPU: Gainward GTX580 3 GB

  Far as I can tell I think that fixed problem is at the limit of my GPU software. So my question is, this will help to invest in a "GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 760 4 GB"?

  You can use the Ultrakey inside the first. It's accelerated gpu and therefore very fast. For editing, the quality should be good enough and for the final touch, just send the clip to ae.

• Premiere Pro CC 2014 with NVIDIA system freezes (Win7x64)

  It appears after maybe the first Pro CC 2014 update started to freeze while editing. It seems to happen more often with 4K material and using the Ultra key and alpha blending, but can also occur with titles of 4 K. The sequences are 23.976 1080 p, with pictures of the Sony A7S mixed (50 Mbit/s-XAVC-S/H.264) and GH4 (4 K 100 Mbit/s H.264). There are also frequent accidents with GPUFoundation.dll (mercury + CUDA). Do not freeze with only rendering software. I tried a variety of drivers when you use a Quadro 5000 without change in the behaviour of gel. I tried a new GTX 770 (own installation driver) and the behaviour of gel and GPUFoundation.dll accidents are the same, but now, even the mouse freezes. With the Quadro 5000, the entire Windows GUI would freeze (now inactive), however the mouse would move again. It seems so there are problems with the NVidia drivers and first Pro CUDA on Windows code path (application errors shouldn't be able to lock the whole GUI). GPU clock shows low GPU and GPU memory during freezing. The gels will occur when switching between clips during playback or cleaning (most often to fast clean). As a developer, it feels like a kind of semaphore lock / race condition, since during the freezing of the CPU, GPU and memory usage are very low. Additional hardware information: 12 strands 2010 MacPro, 24GO RAM Win7x64 running (with the latest updates). Side note: organization used to hang in memory to the exit, but stopped after a recent forced Microsoft Update (Agency now sometimes hangs out but cannot be suspended in memory (used to have to kill him right out of each time)). This signals before? (A7S XAVC & GH4 4K images are relatively new)

  Install a GTX 970 with 4 GB of RAM and the latest drivers Nvidia (344.16) in fixed Win7x64sp1 crash "nested 4K video" and locks. Sometimes fixed by reorganization effects rendering bugs are still present (body 20141 CC).

  OSX isn't quite ready for the GTX 970/980: I made a copy of my OS X disk and put updated for version 10.10 beta 5 (Yosemite) and Nvidia drivers from here: update of Nvidia driver from the Web for Yosemite - news and updates - InsanelyMac Forum

  This video is just 50 seconds, but when I have this turn in the format mp4, webm and ogg, get large files and the quality is not good.

  Could you please guide me to find good sequence and export of settings in Premiere Pro CS6 to get a video for the best possible quality on the web?

• Premiere Pro CS3 crash with many video files

  I'm back from my vacation to Ski with a lot of short videos (a few minutes) that I took on camera Canon P & S, about 50 records.
  I imported the 50 files at first and tried to work on a film, but slow work and each commads little as the first breaks down.
  I've noticed that for every new file I add to project 20K of Rams are used - 1 G to 50 files. I also get message of low resources of first who recommend to save my work.
  The video is a video standard (not HD) 30 frames per second and the project is also standard.
  Why is this happening?
  The first has a limit to the number of files that you want to import?
  Is there a problem with the video format?
  How can I solve this problem and get a stable editing environment?

  OK, you've got to MJPEG (Motion JPEG), so I recommend the Morganor MainConcept MJPEG CODEC. Or the other of those who should help you edit MJPEG images natively in PrPro. Most users find the MainConcept the best of both, but I believe that they both have a trial. Don't know if the trial of watermarks, or is only limited in time. Web sites should tell you.

• Premiere Pro CC 2015 won't launch

  Hi you all. Im having trouble getting Premiere Pro to launch. I just signed up through CC and get everything paid, Premiere Pro installed and when I click on the 'open' tag, nothing happens. Nothing at all. Ive reinstalled it and the same thing; absolutely nothing happens. So I went to the parent folder when the application is installed, find the .exe and clicked on what gave me this message: "the application could not start properly (0xc000001d). Click OK to close the application. »

• Premiere Pro CS6 family up-to-date?

  I am a member today and I installed a few programs on my Mac. They all work fine 3rd Premiere Pro CS6 family. Adobe Application Manager reports to update but I can't find Premiere Pro CS6 anywhere in the Finder. I can see other programs installed under programs. Is someone can give me a hint where to look? Luuk.

  I solved this problem by cleaning Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 family with the cleaner of the Creative Suite from Adobe tool. Once I did, I reinstalled the spirit of the Adobe program manager programs.

• Can I capture with Final Cut Pro and edit in Premiere Pro?

  Because it appears first has problems with capture - at least for me, but as I see it for others as well - and I can capture with iMovie, I take it with Final Cut Pro for capture - cross for Adobe Premiere and the suite for editing, then finalized? Or is it a problem to copy the photos/files from one program to the other (they would be clearly identified if I could just import first shots later?)

  Hi Rob,

  When you are capturing HDV into FCP, it creates a specific Apple HDV codec. It is a codec that is not available unless the FCC, movement or compressor is installed.

  Two solutions of workaround would be to use Premiere Pro on Mac with above mentioned applications on the same system or convert a codec which can be read in first.

• Problems with video DSLR and PR crashing

  Hello! I am a new user at first and am having some problems to import the video DSLR (5Dmk3 24 p). I did a lot of research and have found a few people with similar problems, but I wasn't able to work through to understand. So now I'm looking at the best of the best.

  My problems: (Note: when I say crash, I mean blocks indefinitely.) "I've never seen an error through it all).

  • Premiere Pro (5.5) sometimes crashes when I import videos. There seems to be some videos that make the first hang but I can't isolate the problem to a file either. A single file will PR plant a time, when I restart the program the same file will import correctly. It is quite rare where I can import an entire folder (~ 20) videos, but it happens from time to time.
  • When I have all my imported videos, when I open my project that some videos will show offline. Like my previous problem, the files change everytime I open the first. Sometimes, when I save the project with these items off line, PR will crash when I try to close it.

  My computer: processor Intel i5, Windows 7 65 bit, 16 GB of RAM, 60 GB SSD HD, 1.5 TB of storage SSD. First is updated (5.5.0 233), I have all driver/computer updates I know.

  I tried to reinstall Quicktime (several times) and then reinstalling also first. I tried to change the drive working, Adobe CS agent said I need to import the files one by one and office, but no use. A work around for this kind of work is to import several files, save, import, save, etc., so that when the first fails, I can keep import where I left.

  This problem is really annoys me and I would therefore appreciate it if someone of you has wisdom to share. I read online where someone had a similar problem and ended up in a different codec to work around the problem of encoding again, but I don't want to do. Thank you!

  We have seen some cases where the 5 d MKIII files do not import correctly. (The MKIII is out after CS5.5 and uses a different format than the 5 d MKII) To work around the problem, you can rename the file extension (you can automate this process through Adobe Bridge if you have a lot of clips) of. MOV to. MP4. This will cause Premiere Pro process files with a different import module that will handle the file correctly.

  Hey all,.

  The title says it all. I have two audio files from Premiere Pro CS4 both with the extension WAV. When I go to them for export as a media, Media Encoder does not seem to take it to the top and the queue window remains empty.  I had no problem with video files, but this is my first time needing to encode audio files strictly.

  Is there a trick?  I need to encode to MP3 or WAV. Any ideas?

  Couple of notes.  A re-export off Soundbooth as .wav files, .mp3 is not.  Two, you do not mention the details of any sequence could have created and been working in.

• NVIDIA SLI and Premiere Pro

  As I understand, NVIDIA SLI a no. USED in ALL Adobe applications.  I have two GTX 970 s, and what I believe, or I would never active SLI if I want the best performance of Premiere Pro.  However, even if I don't have SLI enabled via the computer software, the physical component SLI bridge make a difference if it is installed on the graphics cards or not?  See, I never realized this, but the guys at Microcenter, put this SLI bridge on two of my graphics even if I never activate SLI.  I should have this deleted item or it will make a difference if I leave it there or not?

  It makes no difference whether the bridge is there or not for your case.  All that matters is that if you enable SLI in nVidia control panel.  If you do not, they will continue to be considered as 2 independent GPUs.

• How to properly configure a graphics card for SpeedGrade, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects?

  Okay, so I have the following system configuration:

  2 NVIDIA Geforce GTX 970 s

  5960 X CPU

  MSI X 99 game 7 motherboard

  32 GB DDR4 RAM

  256 GB and 1 TB Samsung 850 Pro SSD

  Basically, even if I have the whole system built together, I'm not sure how check and know whether or not Adobe Premiere Pro is in fact using the map graphic or not.  I know it has to be using some of them, otherwise it would not run correctly (as I discovered a recent experience).  However, I don't know if there is, perhaps, some settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel that must be configured so that Premiere Pro can use the card to its full potential.  Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

  

  In other words, they are (I'm sure) all of the default settings of the Control Panel applies to Premiere Pro.  However, I don't know if there are any parameters here that I should change or not.  So what I'm looking for an answer to this question:

  • What parameters, if any, should change for Premiere Pro (as well as other adobe applications that can use all the force of the 970 GTX)?
  • How can I check the GPU activity it is applied during rendering?  (For example, I can check with the Task Manager, CPU usage while I made to see that it is used at 100%).
  • If, perhaps, something goes wrong and even with the right settings, say that the card still is not fully used, what other settings can I change to ensure that the GTX 970 is fully used by Adobe first Pro/After effects/SpeedGrade CC 2014?

  In this case the result of my laptop (with a GTX 765 M GPU and SSD drives)

  1. The disk performance are explicit.
  2. Number 2 is a very complex timeline of seven layers with heavy assistance from CPU and GPU, without hardware acceleration GPU (processor only) should be longer than 1350 seconds.
  3. Three above is a measure of a chronology exaggerated using many, many GPU MPE accelerated effects and characteristics using a GPU to 99% of load (54 seconds above) and an export-only CPU of the same timeline (802 seconds).

  If you want to compare your results to others, that you need to register on the site PPBM7 to see the results.

  EDIT! I corrected the number 2 above originally, I said 900 seconds, but he was really longer than 1350 seconds

• Premiere Pro creates new after effects project sending clips to AE?

  When you create a new composition in After Effects to clips on the timeline, Premiere Pro works perfectly well. Send clips to a new composition, the same project After Effects. All is well and good. Until I got close After Effects or Premiere. Then, when that I raise, clips in After Effects in a new composition, Premiere Pro sent something strange. Even if I reopen the project I was working on, no matter what, Premiere Pro sent clips to a new project and not send them to the one currently open. Does anyone have any kind of reasons as to why?

  Just to clarify: when you continue to work, After Effects is open with the file to current project open AE and Premiere Pro is open with the file to current project plans open as well.  Then, when you choose "Replace with After Effects Composition" your Pro first sequence, the current project of AE closes and starts a new AE project.

  All of which is managed by dynamic link and clearly something is off.

  I got to one of two things:

  • Begin a conversation with Adobe support to check that everything is installed and configured correctly on your system.
  • Uninstall the two Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects and then reinstall them (something Adobe support would you anyway).
