Problems of Smartphones from blackBerry BB Curve 9300 laptop connection

Hello

I have problems to connect my BB Curve 9300 to my laptop using the BB Desktop manager. I can't get past the required device password. I tried inputing my BB Curve password, PC, nothing helps. Any thoughts?

I'm with Orange and the BB OS version is V5.0.0.794.

The required password has nothing to do with the password for pc, sound purely the password for BB.

When you initially set the p/o, did you use numbers? Say 1234, may well be "wers" that is to say the letter on the keyboard of BB. Try this.

If this does not work, it may be, given the small keys you typed the adjacent key by mistake. Obviously, this is going to be a matter of time, but it might be worth trying if you regularly hit a particular key in the error.

    If your 802.11 running * N * on your router, this could cause problems. The BB model you are using doesn't support 802.11 * G * and 802. 11 * B *.

One thing I do to try to eliminate this problem is to check your settings wireless LAN of your router by logging in the cpanel. If it tells you are currently using tape N then try to pass it to one of the compatible bands above and see if your phone makes a connection to UMA. If this does not resolve the problem, by all means, let me know and we can explore other avenues.

  • Problems of Smartphones from blackBerry using Desktop Manager

Thanks to all those of you who are trying to help us with problems. I just spent 2-3 hours reading through different positions, work on my list of questions, etc. I'm not a fast reader, unfortunately. And even glancing to the area of my specific questions, I learned some things. Unfortunately, I have so many questions, it is difficult to imagine how I can find the time to follow along. I have one of those jobs that usually takes much of my time, so sometimes, I may not able to check my personal email for several days.

But this message because he talks to set up the Office Manager, which I had trouble with. But I can't figure out how to get the answers I need. A major problem that I find irritating, it's when I start the DM he always tries to set up the e-mail... I've set up 3 emails that are sent to my BBy, and I am happy with that. One of them is MS Outlook since one of my jobs. But I can't seem to set up something that works to prevent this return each time I start up. I don't know what I'm doing when I'm trying to configure... all the choices that I don't understand, I'm afraid I'll mess up something that works well.

I was interrupted now, so cannot continue my investigation.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Problems of Smartphones from blackBerry to Blackberry App World Server connection

I got a new Storm2 9550 and some of my applications didn't work properly when transferred from my Storm 9530. Among them Blackberry App world gives me the error:

BlackBerry App World is having problems connecting to the Blackberry App World Server. Check your network connections, and then try again.

I downloaded and reinstalled app world several times that I can count to no effect. I rebooted my phone, returned my service books and re-entered my THS several times, and it's not helping.

Help, please. I need to reinstall some of the apps I got go to app world and I can't do it until the app world features.

In fact, I understood the question myself. Apparently when it is attached to the WIFI, Blackberry App World does not want to connect. When WIFI is off (or out of range) and I use Verizon EVDO network, App World works fine. The RIM should be looking at why App World will not work on a WIFI connection.

  • Camera problems of Smartphones from blackBerry after 8100 Firmware update to v4.5

    Hi all

It is a known issue for me that I'm updating all the handsets of our work with the Blackberry firmware for the company that I work.

After updating the firmware on multiple handsets to the latest version of the Blackberry 8100 4.5, there is a problem with the camera.

When you are in display mode and the outside (even if covered) the screen turns white as if the lens opening is open wide.

Even when you take the picture, the result is white all over.

    Please see examples here:

    and

Two of these photos were taken inside with just on fluorescent lights.

However if I return to the firmware to a lower level the problem no longer exists.

I tried to change the settings for the White Balance on the handset and no matter what setting I put it on the same results occure.

I was wondering if there is a patch or I have to wait the next release for a bug fix?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Updated the 4.5.0.55 combined software and the camera problem no longer exists.

  • Help the Smartphones from blackBerry 8900 Curve calendar

    Hi all

Does anyone know how to clear all entires of the grille on a BB 8900 Facebook decided to put all birthday into my calendar, and I don't want them there.

Thanks muchly in advance for your answers.

    Andy

Here you go... (ignore the reference to your address book, this process works for the address book or calendar, in your case).

If you encounter errors in your calendar or address book on your BlackBerry and you want to delete the entire address book (or calendar) base on your BlackBerry, follow the instructions below. Make sure that you have a good copy of your calendar or Contacts, because this procedure will delete all the calendar entries or entries from the address book on your BlackBerry.

    1. open the Desktop Manager on your PC.

    2. open Backup/Restore > advanced.

    3. in Advanced Options, you will see a split pane screen. The left pane, it is what will be saved from your device, and the right is a list of the existing databases.

3 select right your address book database (or your Calendar database), and then click the arrow in the Middle pointing to the left. This will copy the information on and prepare it for the backup.

    4. once the backup is complete, click the button Clear down to erase, and then clean up the database of book full address (or calendar).

    5. once it is finished, it will ask you if you want to save the backup that you created, say you Yes and check the device to make sure that the address book (or calendar) has been duly cleared out. Now, Resync the necessary contact details and you should be set to go.

  • Problem of Smartphones from blackBerry connect to wifi at home

I have a tomy home wifi connection problem. my blackberry bold 9700 is to find my router a netgear WNDR 3300, which is defined as WPA2 security key. When Itry to connect via WiFi protected Setup with both the PIN generated by the blackberry bold 9700 and push-button put in place. The two underlying methods a falied to you connect to message.  I have wifi checked in the box of connection management.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Steve

I would advise against using WEP as its garbage and can be cracked very quickly.  I am currently using WPA - PSK which more secure than WEP but not as safe as WPA2.

Try instead to use WPA.  My Bold 9700 has no problem of connection at all.

The best solution if YOU use WEP is that if your router can handle multiple SSID, this way you can connect your PC to use WPA2 and Blackberry using WEP.

On device, go to Options, device, application management is a great way to see what your applications with your use of the CPU on #Torch. Simply drag bar greater than CPU and see what happens. • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager does not connect to BES

    Hello

I'm trying to connect a BlackBerry (device or Simulator) via USB for our BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES). He worked for another instance of a BES and also a BES express test. We are using Microsoft Exchange. So I have a couple of Outlook profiles. When you start the Desktop Manager, I select the profile according to the connected device. Communication between the Desktop Manager and handheld works well. The only problem is the connection to the BES.

Device Manager displays under bridge "Connecting" (somewhat similar, it is not executed in English) and the name of the server is "srp.eu.blackberry .net: 4101. Then it tries to connect to the internet instead of the local server for BlackBerry. With other BES servers he was always showing the IP or the local name and the connection was set up immediately. Unfortunately at the moment I have no other BES to connect to.

I searched my local registry for the parameter in the Office Manager, but just under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Research in Motion\BlackBerry\PINData of the correct (as S12345678) serviceUid of our local BES server. My problem is, I don't know how this serviceUid is mapped to a server name.

Our license to a BES 4.1 which has been updated to a 5.0, there may be a few old settings that block the communication.

Question: whence the Device Manager get the address from which it connects? It appears in the Exchange? Or in the BES (global or with the user)? Does the Desktop Manager searches for the name itself?

    PS: Desktop Manager 5.0.1.42 (25 Sep 2010), 6.0.0.13, BBDevMgr 4.1.0.14 Device Manager

Finally, I found the solution! It's pretty simple if you know where to look:

    '' Cause. ''

Routing server (RPS) Protocol address was listed as a server name. The host router only accepts connections from localhost. »

    KB18489

In the BlackBerry Administration Service you should check the settings of the PRS. This is in the instance of the component dispatcher. In the section "RPS addresses" is only the value 'localhost' authorized. Someone here enter the name of the RPS server. Now when I enter just "localhost" the device series (by USB) works again

  • The Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop software will not connect to 9700 Win 7

Recently, I lost my 9800 "BOLD" and had to go back to my old 9700.  When you try to resynchronize the 9700 for the desktop software, it started the process but then stopped.  Now the software connects to the device even if the device shows connected to the desktop computer.  In addition to the software crashes and cannot be closed.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall the desktop software but no improvement.

    Any ideas.

    Thank you

    Peter

Interesting... the only time wherever I got a message like that is when I am attached to my PC and using the AppWorld on the web from my PC browser... a plugin is installed on the PC so that it works. I never recall a message as you describe directly from the desktop software.

There is no need to use the older Desktop software... in fact, under Win7, it is even probably not supported. So, now I suggest the following steps (reboots insert a lot of restarting your PC... not only restarts, but at full power down). In addition, it is recommended that you are connected to the PC on an account with full administrator rights. In addition, under Vista/Win7, use the option "Run As Administrator" for everything.

In addition, it was also reported that when your user profile on windows (type "echo %UserProfile%" in command prompt) contains spaces, then the installer will not work. To resolve this issue, log off from your Windows account and sign in using the local administrator account (or any other name of account without spaces) and install office (for all users).

    (1) delete your package to update device OS of your PC (Add/Remove Programs)

    (2) properly uninstall the RIM desktop software:

    • KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
    • Some noted that there are several registry keys to remove talk in this KB... don't forget to get your all associated with RIM registry database
    • Others have reported the use of a registry cleaning tool to be also useful
    • Still others have reported the use of your original PIM (Outlook, NOTES, etc.) Installation CD, run the "repair" to be helpful in some situations process

    (3) obtain a new download of the RIM Desktop software:

    (4) to download a new copy of your package to your carrier OS device (on your PC):

    (5) install the software on your PC Desktop

Installation of 6) (also on your PC), device OS package

    (7) start the configuration Organizer:

    • KB17022 How to configure applications to Organizer for synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Manager
    • KB23681 How to configure settings to synchronize Organizer data using BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0

If all goes well, who's going to make things again.

Good luck and let us know!
