  • Uninstall-reinstall Windows Media Player 12 for Windows 7z

Seems to be a major problem with Windows Media Player 12, (not just me!). My problem could be solved easily by doing a restore. However, if I do a recovery, I'll lose hundreds of thousands, most likely several million files because I have at least 13 t of memory on my computer and external hard drives that will play only on this OS. That's why I have to repair Windows Media Player. Is there a solution?

  • Problems with Windows Media Player

"Windows media player is more work - asked if I wanted to reinstall - then I got this message for Windows Media Player" the file wmplayer.exe has several version 11.0.5721.5145 where 10.0.0.3646 was expected. »
    How can I fix it?

If you use Windows 7, here's what you can try.

You can try this procedure to restore your windows media player.

    (1) Perform SFC first. Follow the link on how to make SFC (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833)

    (2) reinstall Windows Media Player again.

    a. go to start and in the search type 'Turn Windows has or not'.

    b. click on the "Turn Windows features on or off".

    c. check the "media features.

    d. restart the computer.

You can also try restore (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/system-restore) your computer to the final point where windows media player worked.

Or you can use the previous versions of windows media player that comes from restore points or windows backup.

Or you can try to run 'Fixit '.

I have a problem with Windows Media Player on laptop Lenovo G780. My laptop is under warranty (bought a month ago), but technical support Lenovo told me that the Windows Media Player program is not covered by the warranty.

    And this is a problem:

When I click on Windows Media Player - to about 0.1 sec I see it opens and closes the window and nothing happens.

When I select a mp3 or wmv file and right-click with the option open with Windows Media Player - I get a message: "Server execution failed" - I checked that all services with 'Media' in the name are running.

When I select a mp3 or wmv file and right-click with the open option with Windows Media Center - Windows Media Center opens with the message: "the files needed to display video are not installed or do not work properly.

    What can I do else?

    Thank you

I had the same problem and then by chance, I tried a video on YouTube and it worked for me. Here's how I went on this issue and solved my problem:

    1. go to the computer, then OS (C).
    2. you will need to open Program Files (x 86) and Program Files.
    3. go to Windows Media Player in Program Files (x 86) and open the folder.  Then, remove the wmplayer file.  You may need to work around the error TrustedInstaller.  I'll tell you that, in a moment.
    4. in Program Files, go to the same folder for Windows Media Player and select the same file again. Wmplayer.  Copy the file in another window open.  Copy ensures that if the question comes up again you can at least try to fix it again.
This should be the end of your problem.  If you need to circumvent the TrustedInstaller question is how:
    1. right click on wmplayer and select Properties > Security > advanced > owner > Edit > other users and groups.
    2. Enter your username and then click on check names.  Click OK.
    3. close the dialog boxes as he has requested.
    4. open again the properties and click Security.  Select your username from the list and click on edit.  From there, select full control.
This should give you full control over the removal of the original file for WMP and easily allow you to copy the other files (x 86) programs.
Please let me know how it goes for your problem.

  • How to uninstall and reinstall windows media player?

I have a client who no longer get windows media player to recognize an external WD media player to synchronize instead of play.  The sync option is grayed out.  He has worked in the past and the player is recognized by another computer and synchronizes.  I think that a player reinstall would remedy this problem.  How do you do that since the media player cannot be uninstalled via the control panel?

    Hello

Windows Media Player is part of the Vista operating system, and as such cannot be uninstalled, then reinstalled.

You can borrow, if you do not already have one, a DVD of Microsoft Vista and do a repair upgrade Installation:

  • Reinstall windows media player

I am running windows 7 Home Premium on my PC and do not remember the last time I used it (if ever), but I recently tried and when I click on windows media player I get the following message. "The file wmploc.dll has a version number of 12.0.7601.17514 where 12.0.7600.16667 was expected. Windows media player is not installed correctly and must be reinstalled. You want to install the player from the Microsoft website? »

It has no option to download on the Microsoft site, so how can I solve this problem?

I checked my wmploc.dll and there are four copies in different places in the C:\Windows folder.  Each copy has the same version number, you have - 12.0.7601.17514

I also checked my version of Windows in a command prompt by typing

    worm

    and my Windows Version 6.1.7601.

Would you check your version of Windows in this way as well because it could reveal the cause of the problem.  I'm no expert in versions but I have seen references to the 7600 versions in a few discussions about pre-release ["RTM" versions rather than the final versions] builds or MSDN.  My Win7 Home Premium is for SP1, so what might explain the difference as far as I know.

If the unloading-reloading procedure does not resolve the problem & if your version of Windows is 7600 then I think you should post a new question with the version of Windows in the title so that someone who knows these things interfere.

  • Problem with Windows Media Player Audio sync DivX playback in full screen

    Hello

I have found lately that when playing videos on Windows Media Player divx mode full screen audio is out of sync.  If the video is played in window mode, there is no problem.  I had no such problem in the past, but now for about 1 month or so, I have this problem.

I have fitted iq508a to vista 64-bit, with the latest drivers delivered HP installed (using the HP update utility)-does anyone else have this same problem too?

    Thanks in advance

I can't believe! I solved the problem with this problem of video audio sync during playback in full screen!

While watching the Pineapple Express, I thought WTF I'll take another closer look at this, and while they were smashimg their cell phones so that they could not be found by triangulation, (don't ask - u just I have to watch - stoner movie )...

in any case, I looked under tools options in WMP.  I unchecked the option on the performance tab "use video smoothing"-the video as reloaded and bingo! everything in harmony!

BTW, I checked my another PC running Vista 32 bit and the option ' use video smoothing ' also exists and it is checked if this seems to be a problem with WMP works on Vista 64 bit or running desktop Touchsmart of WMP... In case I am much happier now...
