  Hey,.

  I'm having a nightmare trying to get a flash 8 movie, loading in a generated Web page of CS4.

  Basically, the design is fairly simple.  I have a master page that loads a SWF into layer 10 (it's my usual 'Player skin' with a touch of order).  This swf Player loads a series of films in layer 5 of the master in response to a click of the users.

  The problem is that the .swf works well, it works very well in a basic html document, but when I embed in my web page via dreamweaver only master swf loads and it's there like a bump on a log.

  Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is?

  If all Flash files reside in a folder separate from the web page, and a single Flash file other Flash files from this folder, and then the file loading must target files it loads as if it were in the folder where the web page is.

  I have a little ftp host it is www.sitename.com, of just other sitename.com.  IThink you'll find, it's something simple, an extra space, a www when it doesn't, a cap where it is not supposed to be...

  I used to have Dreamweaver CS4 on my computer. I recently changed my laptop so I have disabled the serial number and the software desinstalled. I'm now trying to reinstall it on my new laptop, but the serial number is not recognized. Any ideas on what I should do?

• Dreamweaver CS4 unexpectedly

  Hello!
  I downloaded the demo of Dreamweaver CS4 (ADBEDRWVCS4_LS1.dmg) - English Version for MAC on my desk. The instalation was ok, but as soon as I have lunch application, the DW start screen appears and then stops with the following message:
  
  The Dreamweaver application quit unexpectedly.
  Mac OS X and other applications are not affected.
  
  The problem seems to be documented here:

  but I followed this guide and I keep the same error...
  
  Then I downloaded the other cs4 products and they work fine... (I even install the trial version of dreamweaver cs3 and works ok...) the problem is built with dreamweaver cs4 4117...

  Fact! I took me forever!
  Here's the thing... Even if I fix the permissions... aparently there is a problem with systems that where Tiger and updated for leopard... The question never manifested for me in any other way until they know...
  I check my folder of the application and I found an unknown group in the area of authorisation...
  to get rid of him, I did:

  -Log in as an administrator.
  -Open the Terminal (in/Applications/Utilities).
  -Type the following commands, each on a single line and followed by return (enter an administrator password when prompted):

  sudo dscl. Create/Groups/username GroupMembership username

  sudo dscl. change/Groups/username RecordName username _username

  Replace "username" in italics with your account (which is also the name of the user Home folder in the users folder). Be sure to include the underscore character "_" before your username in the second command.

  The simplest way to use CS6 on a former site of CS4 on the same computer would be of...

  1. open CS4 and choose Site > Manage Sites

  2. Select the site and choose export

  3. This will create a your site settings .ste file (no site file is stored in this)

  4 close the CS4 and open CS6

  5 CS6 hit Site > Manage Sites > import to bring these parameters from the .ste file

  This will give you the same exact settings (FTP and otherwise) of CS4 in CS6 while using the same files the.

  If you use another computer together, you will need to make a copy of your local site on the new machine folder, and then export/import the .ste as above with an extra step possible Reassociation the local site on the new machine folder, if the structure/location of the file is not the same between machines.

  Recently got a new computer running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, I reinstalled Dreamweaver CS4 32 bit and copied all the files data for my sites on my old computer running Windows XP Professional. The data on the XP machine files were located in Documents and Settings / My Documents/Web site on the Windows 7 machine I put the site in Documents / My Documents/Web site.

  When I open Dreamweaver on the Windows 7 machine and use Site Manager to add the site to the repository and try to view the site in Firefox or Internet Explorer preview will load the page however no style sheet information load only the Javascript for my Gallery work. I checked the source references and it of the same on the Windows 7 machine and the XP machine. Thinking it was just a matter of a broken link source (even if the images in the Gallery appear correctly in Dreamweaver) I added images from the source to the gallery in Dreamweaver on Windows 7 computer. When I went to the preview of the browser once more the Gallery did not work.

  I also noticed that the options and sometimes signs disappear and reappear not until the program is closed and then reopened.

  Is there a compatibility issue with Dreamweaver CS4 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 which would cause this kind of problem?

• Using Dreamweaver CS4 to link...

  Recently, I have built a site on Dreamweaver CS4.  This is the basic layout of what I did.  My site is based on a template, I put in place using the two a spry menu bar (vertical) and a basic image nav bar (not at the same time, but tried two in my efforts to get rid of my problem).  I ran into the same problem with the nav options.  I have all of my pages linked together and everything worked fine, until I decided to add a few extra pages and change a few things on the site.  When I try to link these pages to the navigation bar links will not work.  The only links that work are those original that I put in place.  Hope somone can help...

• Dreamweaver CS4 and IE 5.2 for Mac problem

  I'm testing my new/first site.  I use Dreamweaver CS4. Horizontal Spry menu bar works very well in Internet Explorer and Safari, but not in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.2 for Mac 5.2.3 (5815.1). The menu bar horizontal becomes vertical and the submenus are not available. I ran to each Web page and my CSS files browser compatibility tests and they don't come back "no problems found". What can I do to fix the problem?  I have a PC (Vista) and use my neighbor's Mac to check the browser. Thank you.

  Don't worry if your site doesn't work at all in Internet Explorer for Mac.  It's outdated software that has not been developed since Jaguar/Panther.  In no way reflects IE on Windows, and statistics show the majority of Mac users use Safari or Firefox with Camino and opera in behind them.

• Problem of definition of frame in DW CS4

  I had posted this elsewhere as soon as possible, but I think I put it in the wrong place.

  I can create a definition file of the image with any problem. Where I encountered a problem, it's after I saved it I can more open this specfic in Dreamweaver CS4 file, which opens the files associated with the definition of the image is. Example I create a file called framedef.html with inside are sets of frame for menu.html, adresses.html and pictures.html. When I save framedef.html, then open it with the Preview button, open menu.html in IE7 or firefox. When I close the preview and return to the Edit (code and design) screen I can no longer edit framedef.html. I can try to open it, but it keeps bringing back me to menu.html. I can open it in another editor like Notepad or Coffeecup. Y at - it an option or preference setting I'm overlooking? For what it's worth, it's a mission for school combining images and CSS.

  Why do you intend to buy Dreamweaver CS4? It was released in 2008, is largely obsolete and isn't is more formally supported by Adobe. Also, be very careful about buying software from an unknown retailer. There have been several reports in this forum recently about the program works does not or does not accept not not the serial number. In any case, it turns out that they had bought a cracked version. Instead of getting a good deal, they have lost all their money and risk to install malicious software.
