Problems with 24 frames per second in final cut Pro7

Capture of the source - Canon 70 d - PAL - 1080/24 VPS

Apple Pro Res-converted and imported in FCP7

Clip fell in a sequence and choose 'change sequence with clip parameters.

Sequence is then 23.98 FPS (NTSC friendly) rather than 24 p

Ask yourself if this is the reason why the audio goes slightly out of sync with separate Zoom audio recording (never had this problem in the choice of the sizes of 25 or 50 on the camera)

In addition, not a huge problem, but PAL DVDSP project sees the video as NTSC conversion to Mpeg Compressor 3 - only option to choose 25 fps to keep the project as PAL (that I have to keep the project as PAL)

Also I was wondering if Final Cut X includes a setting sequence for 24 fps instead of 23.98

24 fps straight up is very rare. Only used for feature films and cameras of late superior (such as RED).  24 p video works at 23.98.  The cameras of Canon should really default 23.98 during the filming of 24 p.  I can't even see a right setting 24 fps.

What also confuses me is "PAL 24 fps." PAL is not 24 fps... 25 fps and 50 fps PAL frame rates. Watch raw H.264 launches... and the camera open in QT and see what the pace. He he 24 fps?  Even deposit directly into FCP and see what says the pace.  Just to see what the pace... FCP can show a lot. And as said FCP is the pace of the film converted?

  • It's going to be another canon 7 d with ten frames per second?

I'm about to buy another one. I thought a seven d. I was told to wait because canon replaces the d seven with a newer 7 d is true?

Rumor is that it will be only a 7 d Mk II published some time in 2013. There is no official announcement from Canon, and there is only speculation of the specifications list.

If I had to guess, it will have a price tag of $2000-$2200.

I'd probably buy a 7 d now because the price is very good and by the time of a 7 d Mk II gets actually released, it could be Christmas.

  • 1920 x 1080 at 50 frames per second is not possible in still

I recorded the AVCHD video on my camcorder @ 1920 x 1080 at 50 images per second (1080 p). When starting a new project of Blu - ray still in does not allow me to have the settings of video transcoding 1920 x 1080 with a cadence of 50. If I change the rate to 50 dimensions up to 1280 x 720.

I'm guessing that the Blu - ray specifications do not allow this? So I have my settings at 1920 x 1080 with 25 frames per second? Y at - it no problem with that, and the video quality will always be the same?

Yes, still supported formats do not include 1080 50.

I believe that the BD spec does not understand this. Still includes an option for files in AVCHD format legal direct Blu - ray and 1080 50 is also not included here.

  • TIFF sequence: 30 frames per second instead of 23.976 - a problem?

When I imported a Tiff in AE sequence, he came to the default 30 FPS - and I have not noticed. I'll use the rendered output in a project from creation to 23.976.

The tiff sequence is actually a scan of a Super 8 film running at 18 frames per second. In AE I time it distorted 75% (18/24 = 0.75). It seems to me that it doesn't matter what fps I use AE, as long as I have the Time Warp correct factor.

I guess in the first, I simply interpret the images to 23.976 and everything will be fine. But just in case I missed something, I thought I would check here.

response of chrisw44157881 and the idea of application in time, and then by time accomplish nothing and may eventually give you frames that are more of a mess. This shows a lack of understanding of the functioning of these effects and the rendering pipeline.

I would try to explain. I'll use screenshots. Here is a model with a film of 18 fps in a 23.976 model. The film is 2 seconds long and the comp is 2 seconds long. The times correspond exactly.

ICT is set to 1 second. My goal is to make the additional images and fill in the missing query any way I can do is to define the interpretation of the images to match the model. This makes the images too short and requires that I have do the stretching of time, time remapping or time distortion. Is there an easier way to much to do that I should have explained the first time. I'll do it now if you don't have to read the rest of the post.

The easy way and the best way to get unique images of filmed at a different rate is to interpret the images just as he was shot, which in this case is of 18 fps and drop in a model that is on the rate you want to use for your project. In the case of 23.976. To create new images, you can try to turn on frame blending first to see what this will give you. Then you can try moving the pixels. Then, you can disable these two and apply Timewarp. The default settings for time warp for vector detail and smoothing are almost exactly the same that the displacement of the pixels, so you will need to increase these parameters if you want better results. All you have to do is to set keyframes for the image of the source instead of using the time to get Timewarp to work properly. If you set your timeline on frames instead of timecode, it is easy to get the total number of images of your film. That's all there is to it.

If your intention is to maintain the original speed of the clip and just better generate additional images, that's all that is needed.

This shows the clip played at the same rate as the comp with stretch time and interpolation:

It is images interpreted at 18 frames per second with the ITC on the same chassis with interpolation switched on. It's exactly the same thing.

It's time to try the displacement of pixels. It gives me a better interpretation of the frameworks I want but it gives also some weird jaggy lines to mobile star:

There is no adjustment for the displacement of the pixels. He did a great job on some aspects of the movement, but in this case, it doesn't quite work.

chrisw44157881 idea of using Time Warp to create a bunch of new frameworks and then extending using stretch of tine will not give you unique images without interpolation or displacement of the pixels lit, you will give the ghosting that you would get with just on interpolation and introduce the vector objects that you get with the movement of the pixels in this scenario. The end result is a gain of zero. You are better off and will get made faster if you come to use Timeworn and get details of the vector and softness like light to give you the best unique images. As soon as you add TimeStretch or time-remapping and turn on moving pixels takes you back to the same thing you get with default Timeworn that will not work well on certain types of motion in the frame.

So now, here's the really amazing part. If you work in Premiere Pro, interpret the images he is shot, drop the images into a sequence of 23.976 images and select speed/duration time interpretation flow optics or interpolation you will have new unique mounts exactly the same thing you get in AE. It takes about 10 seconds and you're ready to change or make your project. The only reason that I would never treat a clip like the one you work in AE using Timewarp is if there is any movement that everything has not look right or otherwise seen full-screen at speed.

So in summary, if you want to maintain in real time with your film sure that interpretation corresponds to the frame rate. If your model or your sequence is a different cadence that your images and select interpolation or Pixel motion to AE or interpolation, or Optical flow in Premiere Pro using the speed setting and check a test to return to playback full screen in real time. If the movement looks good, then you are finished. If there is movement artifact problems try Timewarp in AE or Twixtor if you can afford, or one of the Borris effects. If none of these work for you then you will just have to live with the duplicate images that 90% of your audience will never see.

  • Changing rate of 60 frames per second to 30 frames per second

Can someone tell me how to change the pace of a video at 60 fps to 30 fps taken on my Canon SX60HS?   I used this rate for the first time at my granddaughter's birthday party and when I put it in Premiere Elements are "nervous".

    Mervyn Foster wrote:

The video of my granddaughter's birthday party was the only article on the project and when I played it, it was very nervous, he plays in Windows Media Player and it is fine, he plays to the camera and that's fine.   I was asking around see if there is any software that I can use without spending almost £100 or so on a new set of elements.

Don't want to step on the toes of Steve.  It is a very busy man!

Video playback is a relatively simple task for a computer from the edition.  The preview inside the elements window trying to a process of 'real time' and takes up system resources.  Usually, not always, the preview of nervousness is resolved with more memory.   Brands of four or five of consumers at the cost of editing software may all have the same problem if the computer is low.   Video editing is the only thing that makes our hardest work computers.

Perhaps there is a way to create a project that will reduce the jitter.  It will take some trial and error and may still not work, according to the computer.

If you can live with a little jig in the edition, it will usually go away for the final product in the output of make the process (publish and share).

If you are convinced of your computer can handle smooth 30 frames per second and can't live with jitter edition, maybe you can load the video of anniversary of 60 frames per second of a conversion project.  Basically, you will place the clips from 60 frames per second on the timeline and the ' Publish & share ' to a 30 frames per second of computer file that put you in your 'real' project.  Theoretically, the rendering can reduce the image quality, but it should be light.

If you are interested, I'd be happy to help you.

If you are not interested, perhaps the most reliable conversion software and video manipulation freeware is called Handbrake.   I've never used, but the internet is full of tutorials.

  • Can I export to 30 frames per second instead of 60 frames per second?

    Hello

Is there a way to export an iMovie at 30 frames per second instead of 60 frames per second? All my clips were imported at 60 fps (how they were shot), but I have a problem with playback on devices and systems, so I want to get to 30 frames per second. I can't seem to find a way to settle this, as 1080 p/60, 720 p/60, 540 p/60 are my only options when I try and share/export to a file.

    Help!

    Chris

iMovie will define the project frame rate based on the first clip you add to the timeline. Add a 30 fps clip known as the first clip in the timeline panel, and then add your clips to 60 frames per second. The rate for the project should be 30 frames per second. Then go back to the first clip and read a part of it. You can then delete this clip and the pace is expected to stay at 30 fps. You can share at 30 fps.

  • Problem with proxies frame rate

    Hey guys,.

I love the new feature of proxy. But I am publishing excerpts from 4K and I discover that I am running into a few problems with proxy servers. I have some pictures of drone who were shot at 30 fps. I imported to the PP and changed to interpret them to 23.976 fps. I started to edit but I had some problems with reading, so I decided to create files of proxy for them. After I did and was finished, it was indeed pointing to proxy servers but they were playing their native rate of 30 frames per second and completely ignoring the fact that the original files were interpreted by PP to be replaying to 23.976 fps so of course everything has been thrown out of sync when editing in proxy mode. Is there a solution for this? I do this just?

Sorry, interpret the film only is not currently supported for the proxies. Don't know if it will meet your needs, but you can try to leave the full resolution and Proxy clips at 30 FPS and insert Staples into a sequence of 23.976fps

  • Exporting 60 frames per second to 30 frames per second - best practices?

    Hello!

I've been inattentive when setting up my DSLR before filming sequences for a small video testimony. So you end up with 60 fps clips where I wanted to 24 fps.

I edited the full video in Prime CC expect to export at 30 fps without major problems. And to a certain extent, that's ok, except for a couple of pans that suck really :-/

My question is: what is the best practice when exporting first CC or via Media Encoder?

    Would really appreciate your help!

    Thank you!

Try to drop your video of 60 frames per second in a sequence of 30 frames per second, then export the movie.  Experience the turn (using short segments of your sequence for testing purposes) mixture of framework.

    See you soon,.

  • The latest version of iMovie supports 30 frames per second?

I tried creating a simple slide show, but could not find a way to make 30 frames per second, with 60 being the default and automatic.

Although it was several months ago but I remember not being able to find a way to select the 30 images (if this option was available at all).

So my question is: how to make a slide show and make it to 30? I choose my desired pace at the beginning or at the end? Can I do it at all?

And Yes, I use the latest version of iMovie .

Yes, the latest version of iMovie supports 30 frames per second.   You set the frame rate by adding a 30 fps known as the first video clip vid that you place in the timeline of your movie project.  After you have added your other pictures/clips, you can remove the first clip if you wish.  The project will have already been set at 30 frames per second.

I am running 10.1.1 version. Is it possible to export the video at 30 frames per second instead of 60 frames per second?

Yes.  The frame rate (and resolution) of a project is determined by the first clip set a new timeline for the project.  So put a clip known 30 fps (with the resolution you want) in a new project timeline then copy everything from your existing project in the new project.  You can then remove the first clip if you wish.

  • Frames per second in old-fashioned :(

I play an old game called Raven Sheild when im playing if my FPS (Frames Per Second) is freedom in 60 and green a starnge lag below but if the game runs smoothly, it is strange how freedom FPS shud be the game runs smoothly... HELP Please someone

    Hello

Probably the code in the game can not deal with high refresh rates and the way Vista uses the gpu. Since you already know how to avoid this, simply reduce the fps rate when in use. If it's boring to do the rate every time, you might look into the implementation of a virtual machine and run the game under an OS, it was designed for. Either that, or contact the manufacturer of game on an updated version or the availability of a fix to run on Vista.

  • 60 frames per second. file MTS at 23.98 FPS

I shot several clips at 60 fps using the Sony HXR-NX5U, the type of file that results is. MTS. I can import these files into my project from Premiere Pro and even change in my editing, which stood at 23.98.  The problem is reading still clips from 60 frames per second at the standard rate, not idling.

So my question is, how do I get these clips from 60 fps to playback in slow motion.

Do I need to convert them using

    • Media Encoder
    • Compressor
    • Other

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

I actually found a solution to this

    Use Premiere Pro to do

Import your clips of 60 images per second in the first

then right click on the clip

    Choose Edit

    then choose film...

then type the frequency of images you want in the dialog box titled "assumes the rate is" (I chose 23.98 to match my sequence)

Drag the clip on the timeline, and you won't be reading at idle

I recommend you to make the clip so playback is smooth, but otherwise everthing should work just fine

Also, you may have to scale the size of the clip to match your sequence settings according to what those who are

I tried just by importing the file because it is NTSC 29.97 setting, but after I put in sequence playback was very choppy about 20 seconds, it's because the abandonment of sequence frames as I play?

I'm just curious to know what is the best way to start my experience with these video files that I have of my small Canon digital camera videos.

I would appreciate any input / info

The first welcome screen, select "new project".
You will be presented with a dialog box to specify the name and location of your new project.
Name your project, select a location and click OK.
You will then get a dialog box to specify a sequence preset... click on "Cancel".
Import your media into the new project and change now!

  • 30 and 60 frames per second video recording

Hi guys I have a few questions.

    (1) what is the best to use when recording video on sony xperia z3 - 30 or 60 FPS? Are there recommendations for when you use the first and the second as the sunny days, etc.?

    (2) when I save on manual mode, I can choose between 30 a 60 fps but on AUTO mode, I can't so my question is: what FPS auto mode uses while video recording? 30 or 60? Can I change somehow?

    (3) during recording, I can take quick pictures, but resolutions are? Can I check it out somehow? As for example is the mode auto or manual 8mpix or less?

    Thanks for help.

60 FPS will make the video more fluid and better during the seizure of the objects moving quickly. However, a higher FPS will be expand the video file and if you plan to play the video on another device this device must also support playback of 60 fps.

The auto mode uses 30 frames per seconds and there is no setting to change this.

If you take a picture during video recording in auto mode, it will have the same resolution as the video, 1920 x 1080. You can see the resolution of an image if you open it in Album and press [menu]-> Details.
