Problems with CD burning

My problem: is I have a computer with Vista and I can't burn a CD on this subject, I have an Acer with Vista basic 64-bit desktop computer when I put a CD - R or RW and click on start to burn, he shows that he is to analyze songs and then goes straight to writing.  When it has finished writing each song, he said full as it is supposed to.  The only problem is that it won't play the disc burned in any CD player disc is empty and unusable. I've never had this problem before someone could please help trouble

The CD plays fine on a computer?

WMP can be set to burn the actual data instead of CD audio CD. In WMP, please click the button burn up and make sure that the Audio CD is selected. Then try burning the CD again.

I have a Compaq SR1750NX with XP Media Center.  I have never had any problems with the CD/DVD, play or whatever it is before burning.  Tonight, I bought the DVD - r, 16 X, 4.7 GB/GB, 120 min, brand Memorex, in ten pack.   I have inserted in my Combo DVD-Writer/CD-Writer.  I tried to send files to the disc.  He is opposed to a certain type (photo), so I deleted them.   I have no need of them, in any case.  So to test it, I tried to send a small file to word processing.  That has not burned, either.  When I looked at the control screen, the car showed that there is no content on it.   In the past, I used mainly for burning CD, but I tried to use DVD to their greater capacity.

I never had any problems before.  This computer has been very reliable for most uses.  Buy the wrong type of DVD?  If this is not the case, what can I do to solve the problem?

    Hello

Download and install ImgBurn on the link below and use it to burn files to your disk.  See if it works.  If it doesn't, try a different brand of DVD such as Verbatim and see if that solves the problem.

I have a Latitude D430 and I use an external Bay with P0690 A04 part number using a DVD R/RW with C3284-A00 part number.

I am trying to burn a file with a size of 3 GB and when I insert media in drives, we see it as a CD Rom instead of DVD - Rom and when I try to write the file in there, I get a message that I don't have enough space in the media to save it.

  • Satellite P30 turn off - also problems with burning DVDs

    Hi Please help me.
I had a row with my brother and it won't help.

My Pc is only a year old and it turns off. I would say it was because of overheating, but he just did and it isn't really that hot.
I put on the books, not on my knees, keep him away heat, crash back to the desktop.
It makes me crazy, please, any help or advice or anything like that would be a great help.

I also have problems with my dvd burner, always, he gets to about 17% and said that there is a mistake, thought it was the discs but surely it can be all 100 of them, I tried turning on and off but no use.
Also the advice would be great!

Please help a girl in need of a working Pc! Who does not know a lot of technical stuff!

    Hello

Overheating problems usually occur because the cooling module cannot work properly.
Fans are unable to work because of the dirt and dust inside the laptop.
The best way to clear the fans is to use the vacuum cleaner.

On the problems of DVD writer: well, it's not easy to say why it happens. Have you checked media dvd from different manufacturers? Many CD/DVD media works differently, and you should check it out.
In addition, there is a problem with the burning software. I put t know what application you're using, but you should try to use Nero. It's very nice software and I m very happy. Check it out

    Hello

I have the following problem: I recorded a DVD in different stages (multisession) with Nero 6, but I can read only the first session on my laptop (Windows 98SE). On the other hand, I have no problem with multisessions CD

Could you help me in this case?

    Hello

I m not 100% sure, but I think that it s a problem with the burning software and/or the media. I found information there are many problems with playback of the files after burning the multisession DVD-R, + R (Win98SE). In my opinion, you should try to burn DVDs on media RW multisession.

    Good bye

  • Satellite M40-237: I can not burn + R discs but no problem with CD r

My first attempt to burn DVDs on my laptop failed. I tried to burn some + R discs using Nero and some other programs like DVD Form(which is part of the laptop's original software), but without getting anywhere.

It's as if the computer does not recognize the discs. I have not had any problems burning CD - R. I know that my disk is multi-enregistreur, so it should work well with all kinds of CD and DVD.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

I agree with the previous user of the forum. Sometimes, there is a problem with the media. Experiment with a few different media. I use TDK for a long time and I have never had any problems.

As far as I know your unit has Super multi drive and it should be able to manage with DVD + R/RW. By the way: who will drive you have (listed in the Device Manager)?

  • Problem with TSSTcorp TS-L632D TO04 CD/DVGW stoped burning CD and DVD

Hello world! The problem is basically just, he doesn't want to write/burn any cd/dvd brand more. He works wonders for little over a year and recently developed this problem. I'm sure that's not media brands I've tried with several. The problem with Nero, Alcohol120%, MagicISO, PowerISO, Burn4Free, regardless of what I am trying to burn data, audio, regular programs or images. Note that I am able to write with alcohol with success but there is in fact nothing on the CD and Nero burns the data also but fails to verify after the fact and gives an error. Writing on DVD R/RW is completely failed, creating coasters. Also the Player opens without reason and when he wants. I have laptop Toshiba A200 - 1 MB under original Vista Home Premium. Here's an error report, hopefully it'll help. Thanks and any assistance is much appreciated!

Try to remove the CD/DVD filters in the registry.
When the associated CD/DVD (such as iTunes, Nero, virtual CD software), the software is installed, they install filters in the registry, which can cause compatibility problems.

    (1) run Regedit (start-> Run-> Regedit)
    2) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    (3) in the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key and delete the key "LowerFilters".
    (4) restart.

If your CD/DVD programs stop working, you will need to reinstall them (preferably with an updated version).

This utility can remove the filters for you:

Also remove the dust on the lens with a clean Microfiber cloth.

    Hi Ronda, P

Welcome to the Microsoft answers site!

    (a) edition of windows vista you run on the computer?

    (b) how exactly you are trying to burn the DVD? What file format you are using?

I firstly you suggests to save the project to your computer, and then try to burn on a DVD at a slower burning speed.

Choose a speed slower burn to your DVD recorder as follows:

    1. return to the page Add images and videos on the DVD and then click on Options.

    2. in the DVD burning speed box, select medium or slow.

  • Problem with burning DVD DL

    Hello

I have problems with burning double-layer DVDs in Encore.  I noticed another recent post - I don't know if this is the case http://forums.adobe.com/thread/827366?tstart=0.  Before you start buying and replacement of equipment, I thought I'd get tips here.

The problem - my first burn contained several places where the video pauses when played on a DVD player.  To determine that the DVD drive is not faulty, I then played the disc in the DVD of PC burner and encountered the same problems.  I burned another disc of in yet and most of the problems have disappeared.  There are still places where to get a break.  It is likely that the DVD burner is unreliable or dying, or is there something a pc or a point of view that I should try?

    Some info:

The original material was made in PrPro CS 5 without rendering quality max and without depth max.  CS 5, it is imported with the rate of 9.4 and transcoded with quality = high quality 7MB VBR 2 Pass and av NTSC setting flow max = 9.4mbps, rendering quality max, and and the mpeg-2 codec.

    Hardware - Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 1066 DDR2 RAM E6700, Nvidia GTX 480 with MPE hack,

DVD burner - Plextor PX - 755 has.

    OS - Win 7/64

    Additional notes:

I need to burn DL disks by starting again with admin rights.

The problem does not occur with dvd discs single layer.

    Thank you

    Steve

I always use again to create an ISO on my data disc and then use the FREE

    http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download to write the disc

In Imgburn, I check the slowest possible speed burn and to DL, I always use Verbatim

    Never a problem

    Hello

I'm trying to reset my cmos to solve a problem with my dvd writer.
I tried to run an old game I own and which was protected by starforce and ran starforce nightmare with a made the device completely unusable.

After much research, I heard to reset the cmos.
I have treid through debugging and nothing happened. I really don't want to open the laptop and remove the cmos battery or leave it for a month until the battery runs.

Y at - it advice on what I should do.

Could you please put more details on the model of your laptop and you CD/DVD driver problem? This will be useful for other suggestions.

To be honest I don t think any reset BIOS, the RCT battery remove, etc. is possible or could help you.
Only the ASP would be able to remove the TCR battery (if necessary what I don t think), but would not reset the BIOS like on the desktop PC!

  • Satellite P10 problems with Mat * a DVD ROM

    Hello

    I have a problem with my P10,
I bought it for 2 months and 4 months ago my
Carpet * a DVD ROM does strange things.
When I try to copy a CD for example, it reads the cd source, after I put in those recordable, it starts to burn and suddenly it stops, says ERROR (Event Viewer: error on Controller\Dev01\CD-ROM) and my Combo drive is presented as a 'simple' DVD - RAM on Solution Explorer drive.

Sometimes it won't read movies on DVD or CD so I have
to restart the P10 and generally it can read the disks after that.
So is my faulty drive, the card mother or just me?
Have been looking for a new driver, but there is just a
DVD-RAM, no driver for the drive itself.

    Hello

Maybe the contact of the cable to the controller and CD player is loose. The error message said you it should be good!

Your P10 is under warranty so bring a call Toshiba and it need to be repaired or a Service partner!

  • Satellite P200-1EE - problem with writing DVD

Had a problem with a disc that would not eject from the drive. The drive light flashes and a rattling noise coming from the command.
Windows then did not recognize the drive at all!

After leaving from one day to the next, the disc came out at the start.
Everything seemed normal, DVD plays no problem.
    However, I can't burn a DVD using Nero 6.

I get an error message "Abandoned SCSI command". It never imagined before.
Is that what I can do to fix this?

There may be dust on the lens? Try to clean with a Microfiber cloth.

You can also try to remove the CD/DVD filters in the registry.
When the associated CD/DVD (such as iTunes, Nero, virtual CD software), the software is installed, they install filters in the registry, which can cause compatibility problems.

    (1) run Regedit (start-> Run-> Regedit)
    2) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    (3) in the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key and delete the key "LowerFilters".
    (4) restart.

If your CD/DVD programs stop working, you will need to reinstall them (preferably with an updated version).

This utility can remove the filters for you:
