Terminal do not include all the files in the directory

Hello

I'm on MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, mi 2014) OSx 10.11.5 El Capitan. I recently tried on cd for some files which are there and I get a no file or directory. The record includes 18 but Terminal displays only 2 of them.

Thanks in advance

UNIX machines abhor spaces in the names of files and folders, as the Terminal will point out roughly. You must place these names of space delimited with quotes until the UNIX commands will be operated on them.

# Or spaces in the names of file/folder following adaptation. Text in blue only.

$ cd "folder with spaces in its name."

$ cd with\ spaces\ its\ name in\ Windows\

However, cannot legally use the recovery disk from one computer to a different constructor machine - as other licenses are not properly paid..

There is nothing nonetheless to try all possible variations on the absence of character (there are only 25, after all the )

Other than that, your best option is to contact the manufacturer and order a set of recovery disc for the machine. I do no download available for Vista with SP2 - but you can download Vista with SP1 and create the disc.

    Hello

Proceed as follows to contribute to these two questions. You can probably buy the disks of Vista machine to system or get
the former employer to do it for you if necessary.

Try these and it can also be a good idea to update your main drivers later. The General corruption can also play a
role in this issue. And even the TCP/IP stack might need to be refreshed.

What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Be one you ALREADY had on this
machine, including those you have uninstalled (they leave leftovers behind which can cause strange problems).

  • "Setup could not detect all the printers.

I've recently set up a new computer and the network.  The host computer is running Vista.  I have connected a Deskjet 6940 via an ethernet cable into the Linksys router and can print from the host computer.

I have a laptop which is under XP Pro, and who has a connection with the network.  I downloaded the driver from HP on the laptop to try to connect with the 6940, but during the install process, I get the message "Printer not found - Setup could not detect all the printers on the network."

Firewalls on both computers is disabled.

When I type the IP address in the address of the host computer or on the portable bar, I page of the printer, including its SSID.

I tried to type the IP address in the field suitable for the installation of HP on the portable routine, however and always got the "printer not found."

    Ideas?  TIA

The Deskjet 6940 being on the network, we will try to add the printer manually. Here is the sequence to XP:

    1. Click on the button 'Start'--> Printers and fax machines.
    2. Under print jobs, click on "Add Printer".
    3. Click 'Next' in the Add Printer Wizard window.
    4. Select " printer local to this computer. Deselect "automatically detect and install my Plug and play printer." Click "next".
    5. Under Select a printer Port option, select "Create a new port" and choose "Standard TCP/IP Port" and click "Next".
    6. In the "Welcome to the Add Standard TCP/IP printer port Wizard" make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to the same network that your computer is connected to. click on the button "next".
    7. Under "Add Standard TCP/IP printer Port", enter the host name of the printer . You can also use the IP address of the printer if it is static. Click 'Next' and then click 'Finish '.
    8. Now, select HP in the manufacturers list, select your printer from the printer model list and click the button "next".
    9. If you can't find your printer, you will need to find the installation CD and use the 'Disc' option to select one of the files hp*.ini. You can also select another model of the same type HP printer.
    10. Add the name of print spooler and click on "next".
    11. Click "next".
    12. Click "Next" and "Finish."

  • hard drive went and HP said not included in the warranty?

    I'm stumped.

    My computer would not start.

HP now tells me that it is not included in the warranty, since it must have had spilled water on it, or dropped.

    This is not true.

He has simply stopped working on me.

How can they be sure that it was not a mechanical problem?

They told me to call customer service, but the number they gave me 866-442-7029 is not correct.

    What should I do now?

    Well,.

Finally, we have the bottom of things.

After agreeing only not treatment of me the gift to the 866-684-3620 (I refused to accept that it is a failure due to misuse and pay the fee), it tells me that there is nothing he can do to help me more.

"You want me to fully waive the fee and I can't do it."

So, I asked if there was someone else, I can speak to, superior to him.

He then "climbed the case", and I got a call a day later, Eric, whose callback number was 877-917-4380 (unit 88). It turns out that Eric is a real, American HP customer service agent. He reviewed the notes and me (hope you're sitting) says:

Of course, the guarantee is covered and there was no user caused damage.

The reason I received misinformation of donation to this other number was that I asked that they also return me damaged the old hard disk (that I can try to get the data off it... see this article: http://www.geekyprojects.com/storage/how-to-recover-data-from-a-broken-hard-drive/ )

    )

and since (the hard drive broke his back) is not included in the warranty, I was being charged for an out of warranty service.

    !!!

I told Eric that Don does nothing of the sort. He told me that the damage to the car has been documented as being caused user and was therefore not in the warranty.

Eric told me that misunderstood gift probably notes.

(Strange thing is that people in India or in as much that the HP number 800-474-6836, also said that the damage is not included in the warranty and I have to pay for it. When I pressed them to find out why this is so, they quoted me the number of 866-684-3620.)

In any case, I haggled a bit with Eric and he was quite kind to put in a special request that the repair and the former player returned to me with the machine (remember, they throw out otherwise). Indeed, it has been, and I am always grateful.

    Just a couple of points.

    (1) the gift of first wanted to charge me $270 for the new disc repair. When I refused, he says can "take labor costs on and just charge me for parts... $180. Well, google it. Road costs about $40. How honest is that?

    (2) I called this number 866-684-3620 the next day and said the gentleman who responded (this time it's Mark, not Don) what happened. In my innocence, I told him I'm relaying it so that the next time someone asks the old rear drive (I guess his commune... who wants to kick back all their data), you tell them 'it was a damaged caused user. " Well, Mark told me that he couldn't care less and would not do anything with the information that I just gave him. Would not relay it to anyone.

Later, I realized that the number of 866-684-3620 is not HP, but the number for people to Quanta Computer, which are a company who perform repairs for HP. clearly, it is in their interest to do a repair and to be paid by the owner of the laptop, not HP. (HP does not pay $180 to replace a hard drive that cost me the retail $40!)

Bottom Line: Don't download jostled by the people of 866-684-3620. Ask that the case "degenerate." You will get a HP person and this time an intellegent and speak English.

For other examples of complaints of people buffeted by staff at 866-684-3620 (Quanta Computer), just google

    866-684-3620.

At the end of the day, however, I would like to thank Eric and also HP, to fix my computer and the hard drive back.

(By the way, the best place to get the HDD replacement PCB is: http://www.onepcbsolution.com/ .) Change the pcb often allows you to recover your data.)

I HAVE A VERY OLD DELL LAPTOP THAT WILL NOT START ALL THE TIME, AND WHEN THAT HAPPENS IT LOOKS LIKE SA WORKS VERY HARD!

It seems that two things must happen... Three if you don't have good backups (it would be the first thing * if * you have not any outside of the machine.)

    (1) the material must be tested.  By restarting and pressing the combination of keys at the right time could test the hard/readers/speed control (CTRL + ALT + D, on a dell computer before starting at startup of Windows.)  For other tests - Dell probably put on a partition or sent a CD with the machine that allows you to perform a battery of tests on the... video, audio equipment, etc.

    (2) a restoration clean install a factory should probably be made * if * hardware testing are in agreement.  You could probably clean the machine by following the steps I'll give you - but knowing no more about the problem that we are so far... If that does not better... it's perception, or something so serious, that a clean install is probably the only real 'next step '.

(And if the new facility does not solve it and analysis of material found nothing - that's the perception, or something (material) defective which is not be picked up).

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".

    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

Windows 7 Enterprise is a volume license customer, it is not eligible for the free upgrade offer. If you have Windows 7 Enterprise through your employer, contact the network administrator or your Help Desk Support staff for more information on the upgrade to Windows 10 company.

If you need Windows 10, you can purchase one license other wise, then perform a custom installation. You will need to reinstall the drivers and applications and also to save your personal files.

    Hello. I use Cp8 on Windows 7.

When I have a coach to save their project, I save in drive mode with the following audited: locates the mouse and movement, add boxes highlight and add boxes click click of the mouse

Is there a way to make the click box default creation to 0 point/does not include in the questionnaire?

My projects require a single point at the end (on an exit button) to show the pass completion/quiz.

So I have to go through the whole project and uncheck the include in Quiz box for each click... box which can be a drag when I remove it 89 points!

Like if I could put the click box or do NOT include in the questionnaire. Is this possible? This setting still exist? I looked through the Style object manager but don't see any settings click on box...

    Thank you.

Click box is invisible, a 'style' is a style, there is never that included score in one style. And because of his invisibility, click box has no style.

I know, it's very frustrating. Why a training simulation adds that a note to all areas of click remains a mystery, it is logical that it be for a simulation of the assessment, but not for training.

In addition the menu «applies to all...» ' is not functional for reporting although it won't be dimmed

What I do is open the Panel Advanced Interaction (F9) and filter on the click box. You cannot change this panel more (was the case of many versions ago, and I to get back but no way). It is dynamically linked to the properties pane, but you will always have to uncheck "Include in Quiz" for each CB. Sorry, this isn't the answer you expected, can only suggest that you enter a feature request to be able to implement this before the capture, or at least to be able to change the settings in the Advanced Interaction Panel.

  • States, how to access the components not included in the current state?

I have two State put in place for my application. I have a creationComplete triggering my init function and a lot of listeners are then added here and there throughout the app. The only problem that I am running is that an element is not included in the default state, but I'm trying to add a listener to this component on my init function, and it gives me a runtime error stating that the component (which is not included in the default state) is a null object.

How can I force this component is instantiated when the application is created?

My best guess was to put a creationPolicy on 'something' to instantiate components "all".

    Thank you!
