• Problems with downloading Adobe Captivate

  I bought the monthly subscription for 9 Captivate.  I received an email with a link, but need me only to places where I can manage my plans, my account, etc.  When I click on Captivate 9, it says I have no registration number to enter.  I had no problem at all downloading items this subscription cloud creatives, but I desperately need to download Captivate 9 today.  Can someone direct me to the correct location.  I would like to discuss, but it is closed today.  Thank you to those who can help.

• Intermittent problem with slides in Captivate 6 transitions

  I have a project with several Smart shapes, used as buttons.  I had some odd flashing behavior when the forms had effects applied, so I separated the menu slide in two separate slides: one with disabled forms because all the keys for the part of the animation and the other with the animations but the forms now activated as buttons.  On the slides have these forms go to all have a smart shape menu button that is supposed to go to the main menu slide with active forms.  Several times, when this button is clicked, the blade will not fade the current slide, but another slide entirely, which appears briefy, then fades to the slide of the main Menu.  Any ideas on what could cause this behavior?  If I save, close Captivate and reopen the project, the problem will disappear for a while then come back once I did extra work.

  Can you check after erasing the project cache and temporary files to determine if the problem is casued by temp/caches.

  Also, can you check if any othe rproject is originally the same problem?

• Problem with effects in Captivate 9

  I have two questions.  First of all I can't sync Properties menu option.  It is absent from my menu of the window.  Where are the other options in the menu.  This makes me think there is another menu, I need access to.  I can't understand.

  Second, I want to adjust the effects when I have multiple effects.  In all the presentations I discover - users to drag an effect on the time to adjust when it starts and stops.  I can't see these options.

  They must be allowed, normally they are enabled by default using the window effects, so you must have disabled their? I regret that this option is not available in the Timing Panel, which should be renamed "range of effects.

• Small problem with Captivate 6 quiz...

  I wonder if someone could help me with this little problem with Captivate 6 quizes?

  I've set up a quiz and disable the playback bar to save screen space

  I turn off the button 'next' on the issues because it allows to the learner in order to bypass the unanswered questions (and does not trigger the incomplete caption)

  And so I rename the button submit to 'next' - and that's fine, but when the quiz is reviewed there is no 'next' button to navigate between issues

  I thought that I might be able to hide the real button following behind the submit button (labeled 'next'), but finds that it is not possible to change the stacking order of buttons issue

  So, how can I stop the learner without going through questions without answer AND allow navigation during the review of the quiz?

  Hide the next button (Skip) under the clear button.  When you add a quiz for the Clear key is usually on a higher default stacking order.  But if it isn't, just remove and replace the button 'Clear' and it will be over the next button.  Usually, removal and replacement of the buttons on the quiz questions are the only way to manipulate the stacking order.  It's a pain, but this is easily achievable.

• Captivate 7 starts no problem with a temporary file

  Hello. It seems that I'm not the only one having a problem when you try to launch Captivate (7) (7, 64-bit) Windows. See other thread here: https://forums.adobe.com/message/5916670#5916670

  Captivate used to launch without a hitch. Then I took a break in the program for a few months (could also have downloaded some Captivate 7 about Add-ons then too: App Packager, Quiz results Analyzer, reviewer).

  Now when I try to open the program, my antivirus AVG says that one automatically generated "CP" file in user > AppData > Local > Temp folder has a 'unknown' moderate risk and should be removed. After that she did this, the Captivate launch window remains suspended until a dialog box asking if I want to force close.

  If I scan with AVG Temp folder, he found no threat. I also scanned it with a Microsoft tool that has found no threat.

  The file which seems to cause the problem seems to be generated at the time of the launch (so need the temporary Captivate file for the session, which would be naturally stored in Temp).

  I can assume there is a compatibility problem with an update of the Windows 7 system. If everyone in the world with Windows 7 and 7 Captivate now has this problem, we can probably assume that this question.

  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Captivate (after ask Adobe if it would be ok, because I can not open the program to disable the first license). - But still have a problem after a new installation CD.

  The Adobe Captivate team - is anyone following this topic? Comments would be appreciated because I don't know what to do next and need support.

  @ Erik Lord, thank you, but it was not a question of AVG.

  In the case where others facing this problem, I will describe my experience.

  I had already tested the Captivate launch with the Temp folder excluded in AVG anti-virus (which is not ideal, because other viruses could find themselves there and not projected). That did not work. AVG has always presented the message.

  I tried to temporarily disable all AVG (right click on icon in the toolbar View menu for this). That did not work. The program just hung.

  A beautiful Adobe technical person remotely took control of my computer to make a diagnosis.

  At the end of the day, it deleted all of my fonts (except system fonts that would not remove) and the program successfully launched after that. (I had installed recently many new policies - as well as brushes Photoshop, actions & bosses. Interestingly, the PS had been much slower to boot, which I thought was due to the new 'active', but I had not considered loading in Captivate fonts, as they would in most all other programs. It turns out that at least one of them had corrupted code.)

  Unfortunately, I still have a small problem, but it is manageable until I have to remember Adobe. The Tech support guy had an account administrator to troubleshoot issues where Captivate launches beautifully. After I removed this connection (at startup) and just use my normal user account, Captivate has got the same message error AVG - but this time, not with the launch but a minute or so later. Also, when I said AVG to fix the problem, Captivate is not stopped and I could continue to work in it as usual. I would say that I need to go back and look at the fonts that were left, but at least it's type of work at the moment. This will not mark as resolved immediately in case there is more to add soon.

• Cache problems with Internet Explorer - SCORM quiz loading modules

  Hi, as mentioned in a previous thread I created several SCORMS using Captivate 4 and use Moodle to manage learning. The SCORMS contains a presentation and a short multiple-choice quiz. We are having problems with SCORMS not opening on first page, but rather around the quiz section.

  Internet Explorer-
  Scenario #1. If the user launches a SCORM of Moodle for the first time the module load early on, the first slide (desired result).
  Scenario #2. If a user launches a SCORM a later date, after having already failed the quiz, the module will be loaded at the beginning of the quiz (not result desired, but can live with it).
  Scenario #3. If the user starts a module a later date, after having previously passed the quiz, the module loads the results page and now shows a failure (certainly not aim).

  Firefox-
  The problem described above is not a factor. Regardless the user rank past that the module will initially launch the first slide, whenever it is launched. But Firefox does not results in Moodle notebook.

  CP settings

  The acceptance and rejection in Captivate settings are set to ' go to ' slide 1. The results are passed to the notebook without problem, but it is a problem in the third scenario, if a user launches accidentally after module have successfully earned a pass. Someone at - he encountered this problem and managed to force the module to launch on the first page? Ideally don't want to remind users in clear cache every time when you use IE.

  It is not a cache issue - is in fact of Captivate in "resume function" that does this.

  You must disable this "feature" in Captivate yourself. Access reports settings in Captivate and click LMS customization settings in the lower right. Check the box "never send RESUME data", and then republish your SCORM package.

• Problem with Captivate 8 and SumTotal learning LMS Maestro-

  I get white screen when lance course published under the title of SCORM 2004 using Captivate 8.  All the publication settings are identical to those used with Captivate 7 and all classes of properties and parameters are the same in the LMS as course published using Captivate 7. At the launch of course, instead of the opening of the route screen, a white frame appears showing the playback bar course and LMS navigation bar. Logon screen does not appear until the user clicks on the button play on the PlayBar. No idea why this is happening?  Here is a screenshot of the white frame.

  Because it worked, obviously, the Chrome issue 36 comes break HTML5 output.  I hope that the patch solves everything.

• Problem with PDF created with Captivate 6

  I've been using Captivate since version 4 and this is the first time that I had this problem. The generated PDF (which is the expected file size) displays a blank page with only the button table of contents who is sitting there flashes quickly. I tried to change the version of the Flash Player targeted without a bit of luck.  Previews and HTML output is fine and so is the .exe file. I use Adobe Acrobat 11 on a 64-bit Windows System. It is a quite small with about 15 slides project and FLV videos. I have no problem with distill with any of my other programs (FrameMaker, LiveCycle, Photoshop etc.). All settings, I can tinker with?

• Preloader again a problem with Captivate 5 and 5.5

  Ok.  This gets really annoying.  I downloaded a patch for Captivate 5 problem my preloader.  Now my colleague has Captivate 5.5 and we still have the same problem.  I'm tired of having to return to Captivate 4 whenever I have a project that needs a preloader.  Anyone has a solution.  It is said to use A3 to the preloader in 5 or 5.5.  It doesn't matter if I use A2 or A3.  Nothing works!

  If youv'e ' e summer move files or share them between computers, then the way to preload in the install Adobe Captivate file directory are may not be incorrect.

  Go to preferences and look at the current path shown there for the Preloader.  Navigate to the correct location depending on what version of Captivate you use to edit the file with.  If Captivate 5 or 5.5, your only choice will be to use AS3 preload. Do not access a preloader AS2 in Captivate 4 installation directory.

• Problems with fonts in outline or draft publication (Captivate 4)

  I still have problems with the fonts in my projects.

  Standard, I use only Verdana 11 pt and pt 10 in my slides. This standard/consistency is quite obvious, when I'm viewing the slides in edit mode. However, when I preview or publish the project, the text of the slide in the slide is not consistent.

  It seems that through some slides display slightly crushed Vendana... it is clearly Vendana just reduced in height. I tried various options, such as the definition of the quality mode, and so far, nothing has helped.

  Please see the attachment, which should better illustrate what I describe. Each of five 100% cropped screenshots come from separate slides and I have grouped into a jpg.

  Any ideas?

  It's strange. I say this because to my knowledge, the smoothing applies ONLY to transparent captions. All other legends are not smoothed.

  Out of curiosity, when you tested, have you tried each way? The setting is enabled as well as people with reduced mobility? I do suppose that it is possible that a bug exists whereby the global setting could be ignored. If so, it would be the first I've heard of him. (not that I come remotely close to being Omniscient 'end all' of Captivate trivia - LOL)

• Firefox problem with Captivate 2?

  Hi all
  I went through these forums and on the Web for a solution to my problem, but none will be presented. I use Adobe captivate 2 to create a simulation. I publish the simulation as a SWF with HTML. I test on my local machine in Firefox 1.5.0.9 and with Internet Explorer 6.0.29. Everything works fine on the spot. If I put it on the Web, everythign works as expected in Internet Explorer, however with Firefox, the shortcut key 'Enter', that I have assigned to a text entry box does not work. Nothing happens. Does not proceed to the next screen, does not display the legend of failure. For the sake of curiosity, I tested this problem with an old sim card I created with Captivate 1. The problem is not with captivate evidient 1. The problem seems to be attached to Firefox, Captivate 2 and access to the simulation on the Web. (Unfortunately, I can't provide a link to the problem, as it is a secure site, and which would involve giving you a password in order to release the material to the company. They would not like this so ;))
  
  Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated, because this problem has left me speechless.

  Hi all

  Thank you for your response. I found the solution. I assumed the standard.js file published by captivate was to suppress the warning flash IE. However, no calling not this file in my custom HTML page, load the SWF file has caused the key of the entry in Firefox problem.

• Problem with Captivate 9 preview

  Working on a sensitive project today, I found that all of a sudden there is a problem with the image previewed.  The normal reactive screen does not appear and instead, I get a preloader icon which never completes.

  I tried all the options - next 5 slides from the slide and the project - but none work.

  

  Anyone know what could be the cause and how to fix it?

  I noticed two things that are different from an existing project which works fine:

  1. larger file (50 MB ~)

  2. the location of the file to preview - preview of existing project has a link that looks like this: http://localhost:3679/HTML5Temp484021250159Pre/rindex.html as you can see in the screenshot, is not what the current file tries to run.

  You took the right approach, I answered to do this to someone who has posted the same question here today. Hiding a slide, to see which is the origin of the problem and is revealed to be corrupt.

• Problem with slides on the new Captivate 8 model objects

  Hi all

  Recently, when I created a new project model of slide objects are all too big to slide, no matter which project to choose.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the product several times and deleted all the files about the problem but I still can't get it to work.

  

  You can see here that the objects are all larger than the slide behind it, which leads to the items ending on the side when projects are published and in preview.

  When I try to do a sensitive issue I get the opposite problem with the objects being much too small as shown here

  "All files"? Are you sure that you deleted the Layouts folder in public documents and updated the Preferences folder? The screenshot shows one of the default themes, you have customized this theme? It happens with all the themes?

• Problem with the click of boxes in Captivate 7

  Hi, I have a problem with boxes to click and how they advance to the next slide.

  I have a mixture of several buttons and different boxes click on a slide (one to open a pop - up, one to play some audio, one for closing the popup box, one to move to the next slide, etc..). I want you click the slide advance only when the "next" click on the box, but when the slide works it's duration, the boxes to click will advance to the next slide.

  I need all the boxes to click to be active and extend until the end of the slide. They have all of the selected actions, and none of them are set to "continue".

  I tried with only the box click pause button "Next" the blade until it is clicked and deleted property break the rest of them, but I always have the same question. I've attached a screenshot of the timeline. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  Try it: insert a text container with the cpInfoCurrentFrame system variable on a slide. Put a button, a form button and a click on this slide with the same action as easy as showing a previously hidden object. The slide will pause at the first point of suspension, but will be released when the user clicks on one of the interactive objects. I wanted to correct that information, for you and for other users.
