Problems with the management of the CSC/Cisco (associated with SSO) site

Dear friends,

I came across a problem with single sign - on (SSO) used in the Cisco's Web site and CSC which begins to be more and more awkward:

  1. I visit the CSC and connect you to reply to a thread. Then I start to reply to a message.
  2. In response, I need to consult the technical documentation, guides, configuration or other documents on Cisco's Web site. In another tab in my browser, I visit the Cisco's Web site and do my search/navigation.
  3. At some point, Cisco's Web site acknowledges that I am already connected to the CSC and begins to produce URLs with the /partner/ inside component (for example in the search results). By clicking on this URL causes me be redirected to the page of connection again. This is the first question - why do I have to log in again because I am already connected and SSO is supposed to take care of this?
  4. Well, I re-enter my credentials, get connected, access the necessary document, then I go back to my post on the CSC, finish it and submit it. KABOOM - CCS quickly informs me that I am without permission to perform this action, lose my answer in the process! Logging on to the Web site (as described in step 3) Cisco obviously invalid my current session on CSC! I need to connect again to the SCC (until I do that, she considers me as a guest once again, but when I click on the login link, I suddenly make me connected without enter my credentials) and, well, write again my answer. Sometimes, a part is recoverable, but usually, it is only a small fragment.

Would it not be possible to correct this behavior? I lost a lot of time my lost rewrite responses.

I wanted to give you a quick update on the two issues.

First question:

We are currently working on a long term and short fix for this problem. Unfortunately the long-term solution will be a drawn out effort as we begin our new data of all content in our heritage Center. The team is currently testing the short-term solution, will keep you posted on the progress that I get more details.

Second question:

We currently do analysis of the root causes of this problem and give you updated each week on this issue that deploy us the patch.

    Hello, the URLS that contain-in their path are not valid. Firefox is less tolerant to errors in this respect than other browsers.

    Most of what she has said here, I don't understand, I heard index.html which is the homepage, I don't have a mac so impossible to verify anything here. Don't know what she means "the text is not readable" I checked it on a different computer than the one I worked on and it was fine. The last piece is also confused me, she won't say there are other things in the folder that shouldn't be there?     We have problems with our site Web display correctly in older versions of Internet Explorer. It seems fine in the newer versions and other web browsers, but in Internet Explorer its is not centered and the information is sent down below the navigation.     I doubt that this VPN site-to-site is compatible with the USB modem broadband Mobile 3 G, but I have when even suggest to verify that the Status field of the map will show your mobile card is connected (status > Mobile network). I've seen a similar problem with a Verizon USB modem where the solution was to change a few settings in their access Manager software ("NDIS Mode - connect manually" has been selected and change this option to "Modem Mode - connect manually fixed), but if this is not your case then I suggest you to check with your service provider about supported VPN site to site on the WAN configuration.

    The site loads very well in another browser, but doesn't load at all in Internet Explorer. I'm on a Mac and do not use IE but when I load the site in a browser test I get this error: "JavaScript Expection: error calling the function switch: error: invalid argument".

    IE is notoriously badly to deal with malformed hyperlinks. Other browsers ignore silently. IE shake its cookies and often after the hyperlink problem has been treated properly. I suspect therefore that there is an incorrect hyperlink on your page.

    In the 'Useful links' section, the hyperlink on 'FAQ' seems to be malformed. Try to remove that link and add a valid link, then re-publish/re-upload the site to test on IE. Which may, or may not, be the cause. But it's the first thing to try.

    You probably security sandbox errors because you use absolute paths instead of relative paths (www.decafe.ru/image-scroller2.xml) (image - scroller2.xml).   Difficulty those and you should be ok.

    Go to control panel | Internet Options | Programs and IE set as the default value.  If this does not work, then go to control panel | Default programs | Associate a type of file or Protocol with a program and then the page down to HTTP and HTTPS protocols and associate them with IE.
