Problems with Zoom combo cable/modem (model 5350) wireless router

Hey all,.

I recently bought a zoom 5350 router without wireless/modem cable unit and noticed that my wireless connection was slow. I disabled the option "Flood IP Detection" (apparently a lot of people had this problem) and my speed wireless so far has been great. However, the laptop my sister (an Inspiron N5110) still has slow connectivity. I have the same laptop and I don't have any problem, then I guess that the problem is probably with his own computer. Are there possible solutions to this problem?

Reading of the record HERE, I see the Zoom 5350 will connect on the 2.4 GHz ONLY.

Are you using these settings to the recommended wireless router I use channel 11. I have a new SSID to connect easier.

  • Problems with zoom back with a Flash banner

    When I zoom in to increase the size of the web page, Flash banner automatically resizes it.  However, when I Zoom out, to decrease the size of the web page, the Flash banner does not automatically resize.  It remains the same size, and you need to hit the Refresh button to get it to scale to fit the newly resized page.

    Is there any solution for this?  I searched the forum and the web and have not found response.  I asked a question on this in another forum, but has received no response. I found some discussions on the issue on the web and on this forum, but I wasn't able to find a way to integrate suggestions from my page.  I tried to change the scale to exactfit to showall, such as recommended, but that has created a problem with the appearance of the page. (The banner properly fits in the window of the header). I also tried (as recommended by one of the entries in this forum) change the width = "100%" height = "100%" or width = "100%" height = "auto".  This fixed the problem for Internet Explorer, but then the whole banner disappeared in Firefox.

    After zooming, when I resize my banner window is automatically set on the default width.

    FYI: Flash is a bit dead as a web technology, because so many popular devices does not support (iPhone, iPad, iTouch, etc...)  Users who do not have Flash Player will see nothing.

    It is perhaps timely to share your Flash banner with a rotating banner of jQuery which can be seen in all the web features.

  • Problems with the IP settings on XP pc wireless network

    I have (part time) a wireless network to recently set up. Router is connected to a pc windows 7, and there is a XP machine with a USB adapter as well. The PCs are turned on, and the XP shows a wireless connection with a 'very good' signal. When I try to start IE on XP it will fail to connect. When I then run the diagnostic network connection died at around the point where the diagnosis is trying to reactivate the adapter. The diagnosis of output reports "error renew IP address: semaphore timeout has expired" and "default gateway 0.0.0.0." If I then run ipconfig/all there is absolutely NO output. This happened yesterday, so I manually reset following IP 299357 instructions and the same thing happened again. I did the reset again and rebooted the XP. The router indicates that it has recognized the XP and ipconfig/all on XP shows things different, including

    IP 192.168.2.6. subnet mask 255.255.255.0; gateway by default, dns server, and dhcp like 192.168.2.3 Server (the IP address of the router); DHCP and automatic configuration enabled. IP routing and WINS proxy are disabled.

    While I was typing the above router lost sight the XP box, although the box XP still reports a 'very good' signal and a connection permanent.

    So far, I had this network in place for 10 days, but could not use the connection to the outside of the PC XP on a day, which followed my re - configure the router to its IP address 192.168.2.3 rather than recommended in setting up such 192.168.2.1, because 192.168.2.3 was that the XP box trying to connect as. Two PCs have been turned off during the night and worked fine when started the next morning for the entire day. The next day that XP had a connection for long enough to reach the site where I was looking for updated printer drivers, and then he lost when I started to download the and nothing since.   • Problems with Win 7 Professional 64-bit Microsoft wireless keyboard

    I've been successfully running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on my desk since last October.  So far, I had been using a Microsoft Wireless Comfort 1 keyboard. 0 and Microsoft optical mouse 2.0 with no issues whatsoever, another that he had got very old and shabby and all the letters had disappeared from the keyboard.  Then I myself treated then for a keyboard Microsoft wireless Comfort keyboard 5000 and 5000, the mouse, sold as a set.

    I installed, downloaded the 64-bit drivers updated for Win 7, etc, etc.  The mouse worked perfectly, but the keyboard was nothing else into trouble.  It starts fine but then after about five or ten minutes of work, start some keys not typing and I have to wait a few seconds for him to fend and catch up.  He then sporadically to this.  Re-booting does not seem to make a big difference.  Exchanging the small dongle USB around various ports seems to have an effect slightly but not sustainable.  Remove and reinstall the drivers also seems to have an effect slightly but not sustainable.

    For possible interference, you can watch your router Wireless N +.  Wireless N can operate at 2.4 Ghz or 5 GHz.  Most of the brands end lower base 2.4 race, which is the same as the 5000 wireless set.  If your wireless network has the option of 5 Ghz, you might want to try it.  Also if you have a cordless phone that works at 2.4 it could cause problems.  I know not many people use wireless phones these days other than cell phones, but it could be a problem as well.

    I have a new laptop from Toshiba with WIN 8 pre-installed, and I have the same problem.  I ran the program of problem determination and it reset the WiFi card and fixed an issue reported.  He canned breed, I have 2 WIN 7 laptops who have no problem at all.

    If your printer and router are close to each other, I would recommend via ethernet to your printer to your router connection.  Then follow these instructions.

    If you need to connect the printer to the wireless router, because they are in different rooms, you can use a wireless print server, but I'm not sure it is worth the money and the headaches - just get a new printer wireless - IMHO, of course.

  • No internet connection with C6300 only cable modem/router - No. Ethernet cable plugged

    About once or twice a week I wake up my desktop PC and see an icon (bottom right) which indicates that I have no internet connection. When I run the troubleshooter network (right-click on the icon) it says to plug in my ethernet cable. I replaced the cable with another know good cable, but the problem continues to return (though intermittently). If I unplug the ethernet cable from the port of my C6300 Netgear and plug it back in the same or another port, the internet connection is restored. I'm on Windows 10 edition 64 - bit OS on my desktop tower PC (Dell). My internet provider is Cox Communications through their cable with up to 100 Mbps of speed. My Netgear firmware version is V1.02.20 to help you can provide me to solve this problem would be appreciated.
