ProBook 6460 b: Charger Compatibility

Hello

I have a probook 6460 b that came with an HP 90W 18.5V power adapter. I also have a 120w 18.5V wich adapter (from my dv7 Pavilion 7050 hp previous-eb) that I use on with the probook. Can I use the charger 120w? or it does not damage the battery or something? (had to replace the battery and do not want to damage it).

Thanks in advance

More it will not damage but please make sure that the charger port is the same size and shape. Otherwise, you may cause arcs and damage the port.

  • HP ProBook 6460 b: HP ProBook 6460 b WiFi card

    Hi guys,.

I bought a double router broadband and just when I thought that I had everything figured on how to use all the features of my new router Asus AC56U I came to realize I forgot the essential - I have not 5 GHz receiving the Wi - fi card in my HP ProBook 6460 b.

Next thing I discovered, it is who is locked with whitelist do not use what you like and replace stuff if you need to.

My question is - what dualband WiFi card buy to put in my laptop because I can not find the whitelist and it is updated (there should be an update).

I upgraded my possible the most recent BIOS version on the site of HP (it was something like April 2014) so I should have the last update in the white list.

Any information would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

  • HP ProBook 6460-b plugged blue screens when on a projector

Does anyone else have this problem?  I saw him on two different laptops now.  Both are HP ProBook 6460 b.   When the user connects the laptop to a VGA cable that is connected to a projector, blue laptop screens and restarts.

The laptop is not blue screen and reboot when it is connected to the monitors, but usually users use a docking station when it is connected to a monitor or monitors.  I didn't know all the problems connected with one connected to a monitor VGA cable, but it is rare.

I tried to update the drivers, but had no luck.

I finally found a solution to this problem.  This is the driver on the HP website.  I downloaded the driver from the Intel Web site and the problem was solved.  It's strange because our HP representative said that they could not reproduce the problem.

The only problem is HP Hotkey support no longer works with display settings, which means that fn + F4 bring up display options.

On the good side of things, it detects just a projector when it is plugged in and shows it.  If you need to change the settings, you must use the system tray Intel display options

First, download the latest installer driver Synaptics, on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    Synaptics Touchpad Driver.

Then, open windows control panel, open programs and features, right click on the entry "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver" and choose uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has completely recharged, open your download folder, click with the right button on the setup of Synaptics and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once done, restart the laptop.

Check if double-clicking place will now toggle the on/off button.

Can you give us the part number of the two Chargers? It will be on the label printed on the "brick". If the old charger plug for the new laptop (the sheets must be physically the same) and is the same voltage and same or higher amps (also printed on the bricks) as a new one, you can use it.
