ProBook 6560 b: how to disable "internal NTC PXE Boot?

Hello world

I need to disable the internal NTC PXE boot for the sake of experimentation, but for the life of me I don't know how it's done. In the BIOS (latest version), this option is grayed out (can not click on it, even though I have the connection as an administrator), and the Configuration of the BIOS utility doesn't seem to work for me.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thank you!

-Max

Solved this problem by uninstalling HP ProtectTools. Hope this helps anyone who has the same problem in the future.

  • HP Probook 650 G1: How to disable the keys way to Probook 650 G1 running Windows 7, 64-bit

    I just bought a HP Probook G1, intel i7 650 - 4600 m, system BIOS 01.34-08/28/2015, keyboard review KBC 16.3 C version.

    ESC and F1 through F12 function keys seem to be in the Mode of action key (for example flight gives HP, F6 system information allows you to change the audio levels, etc.)- and I prefer to keep the standard functions of these keys (for shortcuts in Word and Excel, also for Express Scribe transcription software).

    I found Ctrl + Fn + the function key corresponding is workaround to achieve some (but not all) the standard functions - but which is cumbersome when used frequently. Workaround doesn't seem to work for the ESC key.

    I saw a few tips on how to disable the Mode keys on some laptops HP - eg
    http://support.HP.com/au-en/document/c02035108

    - and I have used this method on the previous laptop HP (e.g. Pavilion G6), but it does not work for this Probook. The configuration screen of the BIOS on my new machine does not seem to show the key Action Mode (or same System Configuration) as an option.

    I would be grateful for suggestions.

    Problem is now resolved, thanks to HP Technical Support phone line. Their tips were:

    * go to the BIOS Setup in the usual way (shut down, then power on, press ESC, choose F10 for Bios configuration)

    * Choose the Information System

    * arrow above to advance

    * Choose the Configuration of the device

    * Uncheck the Fn key switch

    * Save, etc.

    The corresponding option is more referred to Action Mode button for this model of HP laptop, at least not for the version of BIOS this Probook 650 G1 (worm 1.36, 25/04/2016).

    How to disable the touchpad on Probook 4525 s permanently?  Can I uninstall the driver in Control Panel, but the next time, he is back on again once.  I use a usb mouse and touchpad is simply in the way when I type.

    Damy salvation!

    There are a few options depending on your OS and your version of TouchPad.

    • The best option, if it should be available for you is:

    New drivers (at least the V16.x) have the ability to disable the TouchPad / click on the keypad with a setting on the main page 'Settings' when a USB mouse is used.  This is a very nice feature.

    Control Panel > display icon > mice > TouchPad [ClickPad] settings >

    CHECK "disable the pointing device internal when the external USB pointing device is attached.

    If you want to be alerted and see a visual cue of disability >

    TICK "Animated icon in the taskbar" >

    and make sure you have your updated task bar notifications so you can see the view of the mouse.

    Here's a 16.2.X TouchPad driver for the ProBook series - it can run on your laptop:

    sp58647 Synpatics V.16.2.10.12

    =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

    Another method that may work with a driver older if the best option isn't available:

    Control Panel > display icon > mice > TouchPad [ClickPad] settings >

    () repeat) TouchPad settings (button) > click tapping >

    Click the shimmering blue wheel

    In "box to Disable TouchPad settings".

    CHECK "Double Tap to activate / disable the TouchPad.

    In the 'Action in the upper left'

    CHECK "Turn off the TouchPad.

    Close

    Ok

    NOTE
    if this alternative is available, it is very well, unless something goes wrong.  You could get stuck without your USB mouse AND no way to return to the setting to activate the touchpad.  I don't know if I would use this setting.

    I have installed tracking software:

    1. Microsoft Windows XP
    2. Oracle Database 11 g r2 Express edition 32-bit
    3. 3.2 SQL Developer
    4. Apex 4.2.3 update ok
    5. GlassFish Server Open Source Edition 4.0
    6. Apex listener 2.0.5

    My CRM app just runs correctly on Apex.

    I already set up the independent auditor Apex and already create [top] and [i] of the applications in the Glassfish Console, as well as users and passwords for APEX_PUBLIC_USER, APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER and APEX_LISTENER. I already connected with Apex listener in SQL Developer 3.2.3.

    The Glassfish console is correctly on runnning [http://localhost:4848], but on [http://localhost: 8080/apex] internal the Servlet and XML DB Oracle Database [C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\rdbms\jlib\servlet.jar] executes the Apex and I can't use the Glassfish. How the Oracle XE database is not delivered with Enterprise Manager Web Admin Console, I don't need this internal Servlet Java container.

    I tried to change the port of Glassfish to 8090 but not work and I do not need 2 web servers in RAM.

    How to disable Oracle DB internal Apex Servlet to use Glassfish on port 8080?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Fernando Santucci

    Well,.

    / * I change the port of 8080-8090 for

    XDB - Oracle XML database or

    EPG - Embedded PL/SQL gateway, or

    HTTP service or

    Apex Java Servlet container * /.

    Run DBMS_XDB. SetHttpPort (8090);

    Now, I did disable the XML (XDB) Oracle database with these system settings:

    See 'Setting up Oracle Database for shared server' in the DBA Guide

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B28359_01/server.111/b28310/manproc003.htm

    -Monitor SHARED_SERVERS and DISPATCHERS

    Select * from v$ shared_server;

    Select * from v$ shared_server_monitor;

    Select service, earphone, network of v$ dispatcher_config;

    Select name, distributor of v network $;

    -Disable SHARED_SERVERS and DISPATCHERS

    ALTER system set SHARED_SERVERS = 0;

    ALTER system set MAX_SHARED_SERVERS = 0;

    alter system set DISPATCHERS = ";

    change "D000" immediate shutdown system -Research the name of SHIPPING before.

    -I stop and start the Oracle database service, and there is no XDB on port 8080, only of Glassfish.

    net stop OracleXETNSListener

    net stop OracleServiceXE

    net start OracleServiceXE

    net start OracleXETNSListener

    I keep very well access to the Console of administration of Glassfish in [http://localhost:4848] and the static homepage by default Glassfish 'index.html' in [http://localhost: 8080].

    However, in [http://localhost: 8080/apex] I get the following error:

  • mSata SSD - M500 Crucial 240 GB for ProBook 6560 b

    Hi all

    I have ProBook 6560 b,

    today I try install mSata SSD - M500 Crucial 240 GB and I got this message on the screen of the BIOS:

    The system detected that a module installed in the system wireless is

    not taken in charge and disabled.

    WWAN Module ID (703)

    ...

    Do you guys know how to fix this?

    Looking through the Service & maintenance guide, I don't see the possibility to upgrade with an mSATA SSD. It is, unfortunately, a bit of a non standard upgrade path.  Your BIOS is expecting a different type of module to be connected to the location that you have plugged your mSATA SSD in.  If you want to upgrade to an SSD, then you will need to use a SATA SSD.

    As seen in the picture below (from the maintenance & service Guide). This means making a choice on the use of the Bay when a DVD player is likely to resident currently in your laptop.

  • How to disable the touchpad in windows 8 - Pavilion g6

    How to disable the touchpad in windows 8 - Pavilion g6

    Welcome to the forum, Sally.

    There are several ways to do this - method you choose may depend on what you need to accomplish.

    Follow a few ideas.

    • A double tap farm in the upper left corner of the touch pad if it off for a single session.

    Enable / disable

    Control Panel > display icon > mouse > Settings of TouchPad > click on "enable TouchPad.

    They continue parameters to install and configure the TouchPad as you like it...

    ==========================================================================

    A method that works with the pilots 'old', it is a failure of session by session...

    Make sure this setting is ON / CHECKED:

    Control Panel > display icon > mice > TouchPad [ClickPad] settings >

    () repeat) TouchPad settings (button) > click tapping >

    Click the shimmering blue wheel

    In "box to Disable TouchPad settings".

    CHECK "Double Tap to activate / disable the TouchPad.

    In the 'Action in the upper left'

    CHECK "Disable the TouchPad during a session.

    Close

    Ok

    NOTE that, if it is available on your version, you can select to "turn off the TouchPad" - that's fine, unless something goes wrong.  You could get stuck without your USB mouse AND no way to return to the setting to activate the touchpad.  I don't know if I would use this setting.

    ======================================================================================

    Next...
    Latest drivers (V16.x) have the ability to disable the TouchPad / click on the keypad with a setting on the main page 'Settings' when a USB mouse is used.

  • How to disable the database 64 MB of memory on Satellite Pro 4270?

    Hello!

    On my own SP4270 Win2000Pro install case that I came to the conclusion that the problem reside on the base 64 MB of memory on the motherboard, which had deserted somehow 1.1 MB, and so more big programs will not load and the installation procedure for Windows, as well as the entire machine will be completely stuck in about 5 to 10 seconds or at a very early stage in the process.

    But, I would like to have this made installation and in order somehow. Maybe the way is to disable the base memory and then just go with the sticks of memory on the upgrade of two memory locations.

    But, how to disable? Is the only way to throw the motherboard in the trash, or is there another way more decent to handle this, the BIOS v2.70 give any options at all for this...

    Best regards

    Hello

    I'm scared of m it s not possible to remove the internal memory.
    It s part of the motherboard and if this memory malfunctioned the entire Board must be replaced or repaired.
    Unfortunately, you will contact a technician for repair, or you search for second hand motherboard.
    I prefer the second way, many people offers notebooks of second hand with grand jury

    Hello

    Unfortunately, business machines such as Probooks or EliteBook have more strict security consumption patterns - they do not produce "stop codes", the password cannot be derived from the serial number and the code is stored in a nonvolatile memory to remove the RTC cell does not reset the password in this case.

    If you Contact HP Business support they should be able to send you a file custom SMC.bin that you can use to reset the password at startup.

    I work in an office for a fairly large company, and I'm the computer technician, whenever one of my colleagues has a problem. My colleague uses a HP ProBook 6560 b, running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, and it has a Broadcom 802.11n network adapter. The problem is that every 35-40 seconds, the computer disconnects from our wireless network (we use a NetGearWNDR3400 wireless router), to reconnect almost immediately. Although this seems to be a minor problem, it effects often its ability to send e-mails, which is one of the most crucial functions of her daily tasks. I also note that we have four ProBook 6550 b laptop computer connected to the router, and we did not have problems with their connectivity. Any help would be greatly apprecated.

    Please try these steps below might help you solve the problem.

    (1) go to the Device Manager and uninstall the driver for the wireless and restart the device and check if it works.
