  Which product key you are talking about? Is it for any application or Windows XP?

  Vista has expired never recorded after the purchase of the live tiger gateway computer.  Reading forums sounds like I should erase vista (even if it was not installed or not kinesiologist?) something.

  Valid product keys do not expire.  If you have a valid installation and a Produt Key valid, you always can ativate Vista.  If you can not find the key but still have Vista installed you can get with Belarc Admisor machine to the: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html.

  To activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter.  Enter your country and press Next.  You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below.  Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being.  Have your handy product code because it will be asked.  Explain the situation, but it's the same PC and only installed on this PC.  They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate Vista.

  A product key has not expired. If all you have changed, it was the hard drive, you can reuse the product key and reactivate over the telephone.

  Have you tried to restart by phone?

  We can not help you with product keys. If you bought a copy of Vista, then the product key will be on the case, in which it came. If you bought it online, you should have an email with product key details. You really need to get back to who you bought the original product.

  Fear the idea is that you test the software and if you make a purchase. Photoshop is not freeware. If someone were to give you a product key that would be software piracy. It would also be a very stupid thing to do because if you put CS6 on more than one machine their copy may stop working.   If your laptop has Windows 8 or higher, Microsoft codes the license on the hard drive rather than put a sticker on the base. Sounds like the repair people could have used a dubious copy to reinstall it on the new hard drive. Microsoft may allow you to report it as pirate software, but I'm not sure they'll give you a free copy. The other alternative is to contact ToshIba to buy a complete set of recovery disks, or take it back to the shop.
