• Can't hear the sound in my headset?

  When I plug my headset it warns me that I plugged a device into the audio jack, but it does not recognize their peripheral slot of reading. I did a quick search on google and came back a lot of results that said I might have accidentally uninstalled the driver, or perhaps I could try to update. I know that I did not remove the driver because it still shows on my computer Realtek High Definition Audio Driver or something. I checked to see if it had to be updated but its up-to-date so I tried to reinstall it to buuuut that does not work either. Is not the headphones because I have tried several different pairs and its all the same. The sound games through the speakers very well it's just when I try to listen to headphones is no sound

  I spent the last few hours LURKING through forums to try to solve this problem, but I have not thought about it then it is my last chance before I lift my hands upwards!  I have a laptop hp Compaq nc6220 I bought a refurbed just a week ago (but don't think to test this before the purchase feature, doh!)  in any case, it runs Windows XP Professional.
  Sound works when I watch a video on YouTube or other.  But when I plug my headphones, the sound continues to come out the speakers for computer rather than the helmet itself.  I tried several sets of headphones and the problem persists.  I downloaded the latest SoundMAX driver and this does not solve the problem.
  I went on the Panel and select sounds and Audio Devices option.  After having clicked on the Audio tab, there is a section that explains its default player.  I have SoundMax Digital Audio selected in the menu drop-down (the only other choice is wireless Bluetooth, which I don't know).  When I click on the Advanced button in this section, there is an option to select your speaker configuration, and I have "Stereo headphones" selected in the list.
  I'M out of IDEAS: P in any case, if someone has a suggestion to throw out there, I'd be most grateful.  It is not the end of the world or anything either, but I stay in a hostel right now so I'm almost never alone and can really use the headphone option to do not disturb my classmates-hostel.  Thank you!

  In Windows XP, if you plug in headphones then the default audio device should get replaced by the helmet and you will be able to hear the sound from headphones not computer speakers.

  Even after connecting the headset, if you receive the sound from the speaker to the computer, then it might be the problem with the headphone jack.

  I suggest you to check with hardware support for laptop computer for more information.

  I recently started using a Behringer X 32 soundboard with interface ASIO record 32 audio tracks in Audition CS6 on Windows 7 Professional. The sound quality is excellent, however, I am unable to listen to the sound in real time. If I set the input source for something else that ASIO then the output can be monitored, but then I am unalbe to get audio from the Behringer. I realize it's probably something I'm doing wrong however, I am unable to find what to change for this purpose.

  Ah. That explains it. ASIO is designed to work only with one device at a time. If you can't normally the X 32 for entry and the soundcard of the PC for output at the same time. What you should do used the 32 X as your monitoring device for recording. You should be able to route hearing Master signal back to a couple of channels on the X 32 USB card back and follow those who use your helmet/X 32-powered stage monitors. In fact any record you should listen to only the entries that you record directly from the channels on the 32 X from any signal via USB to the PC and back will be latency. There are a lot of messages in the forums of Behringer X 32 on registration of DAWs as an audio interface using the X 32.

  I am a new user of PC Toshiba laptop. I bought it with Windows Xp Home installed - it has worked well for a few weeks.

  Then I had to improve my XP Professional OS. I managed to install all the drivers I need except for the audio driver.

  I downloaded it from the official web page of toshiba, but even this driver does not work - when I want my OS automatically installs the drivers for sound card it finds that 'older audio controller' and when I run the installer comes with drivers and I want to install it I get the message "failed."

  I HAV built a VI who acquires a thermocouple signals through my card... i daq intend to use sound screws whenever my temp.exceeds set point... in short sound should b generated each time than temp.exceeds some limit... I have hepatitis has used a "beep" VI in my code... but no beep even if my temp.crossed the value point... is there any other required platform to use its screws? .. .i work on labview 7.0 suite of professional development.
