  • Keys options in telepresence to cucm provisioning endpoints

    To your comment, please

I wonder if when plug you directly a point of termination in CUCM configuration mode, what happens with the installed option keys?, such as the double video option or the multisite functionality?  ... or all licenses are managed through the tool of CUCM licenses?

    Thank you.

Options keys will be installed, because they determine what are the characteristics of the endpoint is capable of. They will be also managed endpoint and not CUCM, everything like they are when endpoint is configured either standalone or using VCS.

I can register successfully on CUCM with Jabber for Windows and Android via the highway but not SX20.

are there any other document or guide describing how to configure the SX series in such cases? or someone who had these lab or deployment?

    Thank you!

Take a look at the Guide deployment of MRA, to check what you have done and set up all the pieces.  Looks like you're missing the SIP domain on the highway, see "setting up the Expressway-C" on pg 20.

  • Telepresence EX60 with CUCM 8.5 - How to integrate?

    Good morning people,

I'm building a lab with 8.5 CUCM and presence Server 8.5

I'll install the Cisco TelePresence EX60, and I wonder how I do integration with CUCM.

Need to install the additional server? You simply add a SIP device in CUCM?

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

    Bruno

    Hello.

You must have CUCM 8.6 in order to utlize the full potential of the CUCM / integration EX60. You save the unit directly to the CUCM.

I recommend you take a look at this guide, after that you did with your laboratory update.

  • Range of Ports RTP endpoints TC changed after registering with CUCM

    Hello community,

We have SX80 endpoints running TC7.3.2 and registered at CUCM 11.

By default the TC ports rank 2326-2487 UDP RTP endpoints. After registering with CUCM, the range of ports have been changed to 16384 to 32766. In my view, WHAT CUCM change the codec settings.

Based on the http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/endpoint/codec-c-series/tc7/administration-guide/administering-endpoints-running-tc72-on-ucm1051.pdf guide I couldn't see any setting to do with RTP ports.

This is a problem for us, because on the firewall rules, we have configured and fixed ports for points endpoints use the default go 2326-2487 UDP. Because these endpoints and video infrastructure (servers of telepresence, TCS, VCS) are on different networks separated by firewalls. At present, when recording and join the conference bridge there are no media because ports have been changed. When I change the default port range, there is no problem with the media. I can record and call to the conference bridge hosted by a TP server successfully. And if I hit the button refresh on the web GUI of the codec, 16384 to 32766 changes the settings.

Y at - it a setting that I could check on the side of CUCM?

    Thanks in advance.

«By default the endpoints ports rank 2326-2487 UDP RTP TC.» After registering with CUCM, the range of ports have been changed to 16384 to 32766. "I believe THAT CUCM change the codec settings".

Yes, it's true. Once your video endpoint is configured and registered on the CUCM, the CUCM will be more than just the default settings of your endpoint. It depends on the SIP profile has been used and applied for your endpoint. You need to check that the configuration of the SIP profile of the CUCM applied for your endpoint. In your case if it's SX80, check the SIP for SX80 profile and change the start and stop media ports. It comes to the RTP port range.

    In your case:

    Port of bootable media: 2326

    Stop Media Port: 2487

  • VCS-control Mobile Remote Access and 7800/8800, DX, MX security profiles

    All,

    First thanks for your help.

I am in the process of implementing a new pair of VCS - C/E and want to configure it to use remote devices on arm I have read the documentation and just have a few questions before ordering my new SSL for the VCS - C certificate.

We chose to use the devices DX70, DX80, DX650, 8851,8841, use of the ARM. According to the documentation, I am to create a new security profile for each device and name them as full domain names

    DX650.subdomain.mydomain.com

    DX80.subdomain.mydomain.com

    DX70.subdomain.mydomain.com

    8851.subdomain.mydomain.com

    OK, here are my questions...

    1. subdomain.mydomain.com - is the name of my VCS Expressway. For example: vcsexpressway.mybusiness.com? so the entire FQDN

    DX650.vcsexpressway.mybusiness.com?

2 when I create profiles course should I create one for each model? 8851, 8841, DX80...? Or can I just create one for the series? 8800, 7800?

    Thanks for your help!

    1. it is recommended to include the business control domain VCS in the security profile name phone on CUCM. If your VCS control FULL domain name is vcscontrol.mybusiness.com then you can use DX650.vcscontrol.mybusiness.com in the safety profile of the phone. These names must be present in the list of other names are the subject of the control of the VCS server certificate.

    2. you can create separate security phone profiles for each model.

I wonder if it is possible with this version 8.5 or I'll have to upgrade to the version at least 8.6. Is this possible? My version of the system: 8.5.1.11900 - 21

If so, can someone point me to the right direction?

    Thank you

    Andre Lima

    Hi André,.

in case you want to save C20 as native of CUCM device, then you must have CUCM 8.6.1 or later with the version of the software on C20 TC 5 or later.

you will be able to save C20 as CUCM 8.5 third-party SIP device

In case you register C40 to CUCM as third party device, you must create a user to digest authentication purposes

Phone select as a (Advanced) third-party SIP device.

Of fact necessary configuration the C40

    1-> advanced Configurations configurations-> SIP

2 configure the SIP URI as [email protected] / * /

    3. Select the default Transport like TCP

    4. Select the Standard Type

    5. configure the address IP of CUCM in the SIP proxy address

    6. set up the authentication information with the username and Digest credentials, configured in CUCM

  • Reuse an existing one (currently registered for VCS) C20 with CUCM 8.6.2

    Hello friends...

I have existing C20 which is registed to the VCS control running Software version: TC6.0.0.876266.

Now, I thought of trying to save this to my 8.6.2 CUCM end point. I know that there is a different firmware (file Release TC5.1.3 - COP CUCM) who should be responsible on this endpoint before it can register.

I looked for Cisco docos but they all assume that the Endepoint is already running a friendly of CUCM (file COP) endpoint. No cover that I could find the steps on how to get the file of the Conference of the PARTIES on the endpoint.

Unless he can can be loaded via the CUCM by registering to the CUCM? But my question, it'll still join CUCM if he does not run the

CUCM friendly (COP file) on the endpoint.

Any thoughts on this will be appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Hello

You're poorly understand the concept. C20 and an other TC end points do not have a special firmware to run on CUCM. The COP file that you install on CUCM is just a package to contain the common endpoint upgrade file, the same file that you can download and install manually in your endpoint.

You can then go ahead and enter them on CUCM 8.6.2 is running the same version you, TC 6.0.0.

  • Call SIP with Tandberg C40

I have a Cisco Tandberg C40 codec and have been making H.323 calls for an organization with no problems.  The organization is now making changes and demanding that I connect to them with their new SIP address.  When I try to connect, it is said immediately that the call could not be connected.  What are the requirements for placing a SIP call with the Tandberg C40?

    Assuming your C40 has the version of the TC6.x software;

go to network found under Control Panel Services and enable SIP.

Don't forget of check that SIP is selected as the Protocol to call when calling this company that the default calling Protocol can be set to H.323, SIP and H.320, so if only make you SIP calls, and then upgrade the SIP, but if you do mostly H.323 calls, then put to H.323, and select SIP among the options of appeal when the dial - or even more easily, add this address to the local directory with specified as a SIP call Protocol.

Just turning on SIP will allow you to make outgoing SIP calls, however, if this company wants to call you, then they can call you only using the public IP address of your system - and they could even not able to do according to their deployment, policies, etc.

If you want people to be able to call you using a SIP URI as [email protected] / * /, then you need to register your system with a Registrar SIP CUCM, VCS - C, etc. and also have SRV SIP records in place.

  • Encryption of video calls

    Hello...

I have a question about video encryption endpoints. I use a SX80 to call a MX300. When I unsubscribe from our 10.5.2 CUCM and H.323 allows to establish a the call is successful and I get a pop up "encrypted call."

When I enter them on the CUCM as SIP endpoints and try to make a call I get 'impossible to establish the encrypted call' and the call fails.  Our CUCM is in unsafe Mode, but he says that he has supported for TLS and SRTP encryption 256 and 128. If I put the two end points to Besteffort the call goes through but I get the pop up "unencrypted call.

It must be in mixed mode for all encrypted sessions?

    Any help is appreciated.

The CUCM must be in mixed mode for secure communication. (See guides attached below for the required reference parameters and config.)

Cisco TelePresence management endpoints TC on CUCM 10.5.1 (TC7.2)

    (p.11)

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/TD/docs/Telepresence/endpoint/codec-c-series/TC7/Administration-Guide/administering-endpoints-running-tc72-on-ucm1051.PDF

    * NOTE *.

    • CUCM must operate in mixed mode for secure communication.

    • You must define a security profile of device for each type of endpoint.

    • If you want to allow several modes for the same type of endpoint authentication, you must set up a profile for each mode.

    • See the Safety Guide of CUCM for more information:

  • Touch 10 with MX200G2

Hi, I have a client who has several systems of MX200G1 and just got a new MX200G2 system. They dislike the Touch10 and want to use a Touch8 to maintain consistency. Looking at the specs on the Touch10, it seems that it is designed slightly different from that of the Touch8 (PoE for example). Is it possible to use a Touch8 with the version of the G2 MX200/300?

The genius of these two devices of contact could resemble a little, but older codecs that use the 8 touch have a different user interface design, then the newer codecs that use the 10 touch, like the latest SX and MX Series have a new user interface.

Touch 8 is supported only with the following devices:

    • Cisco TelePresence EX Series (EX60, EX90), Cisco TelePresence profile series (42, 55, 65 profile profile profile), Cisco TelePresence MX Series (MX200 and MX300), Cisco TelePresence Integrator C series (Integrator C40, C60, C90) and quick play of Cisco TelePresence SX20.

Button 10 is supported only with the following devices:

    • MX200/300 second generation and future generations of SX and MX Series.
  • QuickSet C20 (software: TC5.0.0.273156) in 8.6.2.20000 - 2 Communications Manager using the SIP protocol.

Endpoint registration C20 (software: TC5.0.0.273156) in 8.6.2.20000 - 2 Communications Manager using the SIP protocol.

My URI format is: [email protected] / * / (the IP address of the CUCM)

I tried different settings in CUCM and QuickSet C20, but without success.

    Status in CUCM:

    Inscription: unknown
    IP address: unknown

    Status in C20 QuickSet:
