C20 and 8.5 CUCM

I found the documentation on how to record my C20 in CUCM 8.6 but nothing about CUCM 8.5.

http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/endpoint/codec-c-series/TC5/administration_guide/administering_endpoints_running_tc5_on_cucm8-6.PDF

I wonder if it is possible with this version 8.5 or I'll have to upgrade to the version at least 8.6. Is this possible? My version of the system: 8.5.1.11900 - 21

If so, can someone point me to the right direction?

Thank you

Andre Lima

Hi André,.

in case you want to save C20 as native of CUCM device, then you must have CUCM 8.6.1 or later with the version of the software on C20 TC 5 or later.

you will be able to save C20 as CUCM 8.5 third-party SIP device

In case you register C40 to CUCM as third party device, you must create a user to digest authentication purposes

Phone select as a (Advanced) third-party SIP device.

Of fact necessary configuration the C40

1-> advanced Configurations configurations-> SIP

2 configure the SIP URI as [email protected] / * /

3. Select the default Transport like TCP

4. Select the Standard Type

5. configure the address IP of CUCM in the SIP proxy address

6. set up the authentication information with the username and Digest credentials, configured in CUCM

  • Adding a TX9000 and TX1300 to CUCM

If you follow the installation guide for the TX9000 and try to add the CUCM system TX system is not listed in the drop down the list of devices.

I downloaded the file for the CUCM system COP but the TX9000 or 1300 is not listed in the drop-down list when you add a new device.

Could someone point me in the right direction.

    TX9000 Version: 1.9.0

    CUCM Version: 8.6.2

    Hello

you have not (only) to download the firmware of endpoint (as you did via file COP upload), but you must install the last devicepack for your CUCM first.

(for example "Cisco Unified Communications Manager 8.6 (2.22038) package of device"-Compatible Version UCM: 8,6)

This prepares CUCM webUI and download files of the Conference of the parties for the various points of entry (new end points such as TX and the files updated for existing devices).

    Keep in mind:

-Dev Package installation automatically change all the default firmware, then you may need to clean up these settings.

-You must install the pack of dev on each node of the Cluster CUCM

After you have installed the dev package, you will find the new endpoint TX points listed.

Once you have registered, you are free to install COP files newer than the next with the pack of the device.

    Good luck

  • Upgrade of Tandberg E20, EX90 and C20

    Dear Experts,

I have Tandberg old endpoints with versino points and I want to upgrade in order to be registered to CUCM natively.

    C20 version is T3.1.2

    EX9-version is T3.1.2

E20 I am unsure with the version.

    I want to install C20 and EX90 T7.0 and E20 version to version T4.1

What is required for the upgrade, which is the steps? is there an intermediate version upgrade or we can do a direct upgrade later.

    Thanks in advance

    Anas

    Hello

You can go forward with a direct upgrade. It's not a problem but its compatibility with the version of cucm depends on.
Olexsander having already asked of the cucm verion it is critical info just in case you are not running on a more recent/compatible version and not in a situation of cucm upgrade.

  • do C20 to call outside 8.6 CUCM

    Hi Experts,

I have in my project C20 telepresence and 8.6 CUCM, I want to be able to call remotely, and I want to know what I have to do to 8.6 CUCM and voice gateway if needed. Some people told me I should do NAT, but I don't want to do NAT. I want to make it through by CUCM 8.6. And what is the possibility to appeal through URI in CUCM 8.6.

    Thank you for all

    Mohammad Saeed

For voice calls, just register your C20 against CUCM and it'll work just like any standard Cisco VoIP phone. (And so use whatever the gateways/SIP trunks you got set for the external connectivity)

If you want to make video calls outside CUCM, then you must make some changes to the CUCM. Basically, you'll want to be able to make/receive the SIP (or maybe H.323) calls on the ' net. Exactly what are the changes will depend on what you want to do, but my money is on that you need to have somewhere of the VCS in the mixture.

  • Reuse an existing one (currently registered for VCS) C20 with CUCM 8.6.2

    Hello friends...

I have existing C20 which is registed to the VCS control running Software version: TC6.0.0.876266.

Now, I thought of trying to save this to my 8.6.2 CUCM end point. I know that there is a different firmware (file Release TC5.1.3 - COP CUCM) who should be responsible on this endpoint before it can register.

I looked for Cisco docos but they all assume that the Endepoint is already running a friendly of CUCM (file COP) endpoint. No cover that I could find the steps on how to get the file of the Conference of the PARTIES on the endpoint.

Unless he can can be loaded via the CUCM by registering to the CUCM? But my question, it'll still join CUCM if he does not run the

CUCM friendly (COP file) on the endpoint.

Any thoughts on this will be appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Hello

You're poorly understand the concept. C20 and an other TC end points do not have a special firmware to run on CUCM. The COP file that you install on CUCM is just a package to contain the common endpoint upgrade file, the same file that you can download and install manually in your endpoint.

You can then go ahead and enter them on CUCM 8.6.2 is running the same version you, TC 6.0.0.

  • Can EX60 and EX90 work individually without cucm records

    Hi dear,

We have a customer need to install EX60 and EX90 without CUCM endpoints.

: Is my questions really possible to use EX60 and EX90 work individually without CUCM or other registration centralized unit?

Yes it is possible, the appropriate solution is to have recorded them CUCM or VCS, but you can use them as a standalone endpoint without being registered to a call control server.  See the link in my first reply to an exchange of views on how to set it up as a stand-alone end point.

  • Missing hash MD5 CUCM/CUC Upgrade OS on page

I have been through several improvements CUCM and CUC but, at least one of them I noticed he had a hash MD5 Checksum of lack and white in CUCM BONES page just as I started the installation.

I understand that if it does not match the checksum of when you downloaded from Cisco / PUT which is bad, but what happened when blank/lack just in the page of the OS?

    Thank you

    Dan

    Hi Dan,.

If it is a upgrade file that has been downloaded from cisco.com you much download again trying to minimize the interference of the antivirus, vpn etc and see if the problem persists. I've seen a few cases of TAC where this scenario was known, but the upgrade went through and I don't see a bug for this as has been seen on different versions including 7.x. You can also open a TAC case to put the file published for you and try it.

  • CUCM troubleshooting, I say if CUCM receives a call?

    Hello

I'm trying to better understand and troubleshoot my CUCM environment. I have 11.5 CUCM, a CUBE router and a SIP ITSP provider as my connection to the PSTN.

I have outgoing calls of internal numbers, work can call and voice call works fine, but I can't incoming calls to work.

I think that my router CUBE is transfer of calls to CUCM because when I debug voice ccapi inout the result indicates the correct dialpeers incoming and outgoing are set accordingly.

So I think my cube tells me it transfers calls correctly but when I call from my mobile (cell) phone to inside the phone rings and goes finally to the voicemail SIP providers.

Is there any command I can run on the CUCM to solve this? To see if CUCM Gets the call? And then if she gets the call, why its not connecting?

    Thank you very much

    Tom

Well, it worked, outgoing proxy command is used to route the SIP Messages to the outbound proxy. You can even use proxy on each dial-peer.

    Please note if found there.

  • Unity connection 8.6 Migration to 11 with CUCM 8.0

Due to the right I'm going to intend a Migration of 8.6 connection unit to 11.0 of connection of the unit before I can improve CUCM. I am sure that the answer is Yes, but would there be problems running 11.0 of connection of the unit with CUCM 8.0.

Nothing fancy on the face of connection of the unit, no unified messaging ect.

Looks like you need at least version 8.5 for the SCCP and SIP integration CUCM to be supported. Check the compatibility of connection of the unit guide below.

  • Some headphones on a c20?

If it's rare, but ask me, I have no c20 in the office, if not tried, but the C20 pickup gives 10-12 V voltage and a microphone are not only a hadset (PC) is in favour to create noise.

It is rare, but if someone did me a big favor...

    Thank you

You can connect headphones to the C20.  You can use the RCA on the C20 outputs to connect the headphones - this should be relatively simple (with 3.5 mm - adapter RCA law).

For the microphone, it will be a bit more complex that, ideally, you will have to convert the microphone asymmetrical helmet on a balanced input to the C20 - and preferably not connect the ring of power.  There are some information about the connection of 3 party microphones already in the forums and elsewhere as well.  They both mention the SX20, but the C20 will be similar.

  • 2 in the same CUCM UCCX

    Hello

I develop a customer scenario have two distinct UCCX for 2 separate remote offices in the CUCM even. I have 2 UCCX version 8.5.1.10000 - 37 and 1 cluster CUCM version 8.6.2.20000 - 2.

I have 2 separate axluccx_users, 2 separate rmcm_users, 2 separate jtapi_users, I see everyone in 2 UCCXs servers, but I see not all UCCX 2 officers. Each UCCX can see respective agents.

Each CTI of the respective ports only fed users of applications, devices, etc.

    or

The supersivor have another option to change the jurisdiction of the officer without accessing the Web Application of the IPCC, but supervisors need to constantly change the skills of the staff. This customer has any CSQ based skills.

    Best regards

    Claudio Costa

    Hi, Claudio

Each UCCX system displays all users marked with an "Extension of the IPCC" CUCM system, so Supervsiors management skills will see all users and you cannot prevent this.

'Team' and 'competence' configurations are specific to each group, so if you do not allocate users on the other system UCCX to the teams so that they appear not in the app to the supervisor, and you can not 'break' the other (i.e. UCCXB) UCCX defining skills badly on the local (i.e. UCCXA) UCCX - that are defined locally on your cluster.

The pole on the other agents will appears in the filtering historical Client as well.
