  The Raw of Canon T6i files are supported in Photoshop CC2015 which includes Camera Raw 9.1.1

  PSE12 cannot be updated to the required version of ACR, 8.2, you need PSE13.

  I use Photoshop CS6 on an iMac el capitan. When I try to open an existing document (JPG or PSD any type) it opens using 100%, but it is smaller than the actual size of the file.   When PS displays an image at 100%, it means that there is 1 pixel of the image for each pixel of the screen for your screen resolution (number of pixels per inch). For example, for an image that is 1 000 pixels pixels x 1,000 to 300 ppi or pixels of 1 000 pixels x 1,000 at 150ppi, displays the image at the same size on your screen. It is because it is suitable that the pixels on your screen resolution.

  It's just Math... If you have one in 27 iMac 5 k retina display, according to the table below this broad picture of 1, 000pixel would be 1 000 pixels / 218 (screen resolution) = 4.59 inches wide on your screen when displayed at 100%.

• Filter for Canon L lens

  I just got my first Canon L lens and after some research, I decided not to buy a UV filter as protection for the front glass element.  Then I can read the presentation (B & H) for the EF 16-45 mm F/4 L, which States that "when paired with an optional filter to Protect, this lens also features a dust and water resistant construction for use under adverse conditions. So now I'm confused: why a $1,200 L lens does need a "Protect filter? By "adverse conditions", what do mean?  Should all lenses L be fitted with a protective filter?  What would be a 'protective filter' recommended?  I'd appreciate some advice on this because I want to protect my investment in my L lens and consider making a recommended.

  Some 'L' series lenses are waterproof.  If you see a black silicone gasket to the mounting flange back, then chances are it's a goal and waterproof.  But you have to read the instructions for each specific objective know what it means.  A few lenses indicates that they are only waterproof only if a protection filter is attached.

  Weather sealing means that the lens is usually sealed against dust, rain and spray - but it is important to remember that this does NOT mean that the lens is "tight".  They are not sealed against water under pressure.  If you blast it with a spear of fire... you will probably get water inside.  Similarly, they will flee if submerged.  There is "underwater camera housings" available when you need the camera & the goal of being ready to go under the water.

  Furthermore, just because a lens is weather-sealed does not mean that the body of the camera is waterproof.  Only some camera body get weather sealing and the level of treatment varies.  Usually, intermediate and superior camera tend to have at least one treatment of the weather sealing, but even in this case, there are some obvious gaps.  The door of the memory card and battery door are two examples of places that have no weather seals.

  Other than that... There are a few downsides to having a UV filter.

  First of all, the camera has an internal UV filter, so the second filter does not really offer help in this Department.

  Second, a flat glass filter, it is able to create nice reflections that can be seen by the camera.  This can create 'ghosts' reflections and other effects undesirable undersireable.  The use of filters with anti-glare coatings will substantially reduce this problem, but these filters cost a bit more.  Also, they will simply 'reduce' substantial reflections but do not guarantee that you get no thoughts at all.

  The glass itself is durable enough.  Be gentle with it when clean you and you will never have a problem (use a soft 'clean' microfibre cloth).  The sun visor (even if you are not trying to protect from the glare) actually helps keep something striking the glass.  The hood is probably better protection than a UV filter.

  The 70 d has been initially supported by Adobe Camera Raw 8.2 (a plugin used by Photoshop to read Raw files) which is compatible with both CS6 and Cloud. CS2 will never be able to open the 70 D Raw files.

  You can install CS6 on your laptop condition XP running SP3.

  Download applications download Adobe Creative Suite 6

  Install and enter your serial number. CS6 ships with Camera Raw 7.0 so you may need to update Camera Raw to 9.1.1 (last version compatible with CS6).

It is unclear what I see online (and there is no number to call for support) If a later version of elements is needed to do this, or if items is even helped at all by the converter of 9.5. -What for the full program of Photoshop? Any suggestions? I spent a few hours on this today, and it's frustrating. After Nikon to Canon this round and so they need new lenses, filters, etc., I have not exactly cash remains for a new program of camera as well.

  It uses a different format, even if both devices have the CR2 file

  CR2 is not a fixed file format. It varies with each camera model that make cannon. It is the same for all the camera manufacturers.

  New camera, new file Raw, same Raw file extension format model (CR2 = Canon, NAVE = Nikon, etc.).

  The 1000 d is supported in Camera Raw 5.1 and later - compatible with CS4 and later. CS5 can open these Raw files.

  The 6 d is supported in Camera Raw 7.3 and later - compatible with CS6 and later. CS5 cannot open these Raw files.

  RAW support is never added retroactively to older versions of the Adobe software you will never be able to open files 6 d Raw in CS5.

  Options:

  1. Join the Cloud (Plan of photography) and get Photoshop CC 2015 + Lightroom CC 2015 for $10 / month (as long as your computer can run)
  2. Download the free Adobe DNG converter, convert all the 6 d to DNG Raw files, then change the DNG files in CS5. An extra step for you, but no extra costs.

  In Photoshop CS6, click Help > updates to update your Camera Raw plugin to 8.3 that is the current version (8.4 is due soon).

  Then, you will be able to open and edit Raw 70 d files.
