  Hi all:

  Just got my 8330 the other day and enjoy all its features.  A problem however, I tried a dozen times to change the message notification profile if the declarant 'ligthspeed' darn and vibrate is turned off when I get emails.  Somehow, even if I did what I've read, heard and understood by experimenting over and over again, i.e. of the profiles-Menu-Edit-roll to level 1 or Message, etc. - Select-Choose Options (off case, ring, etc.).

  Nowhere in any of my profiles see the your "lightspeed" and the three vibrations that go with, but yet both continue to rear their ugly head whenever I get an email or a message.

  Any suggestions?

  Yes, it should be. Have you recently added this account or has been there for a while? You can try to do a battery pull. Take the battery with the phone and leave it for 30 seconds. Put it back in and allow the phone for 1-3 minutes to restart. Then check if the email is listed. Otherwise you can go in personal email configuration and delete the email account and set it up again. Which supplier is through email?

  When you press the speaker icon on your home screen, you get the menu Select a profile that includes items like all alerts, Normal, Loud, medium, silent, vibrate onlyand only phone calls.

  When I put my camera in phone calls only, I still want to see the red LED message indicator when I get a message or a notice, I don't want to make a sound.   * The sound definitely cut the sound correctly, but I don't get the LED light *.

  Any thoughts?

  I have a 9550 with 5.0 OS, OS 6.0 device may be different.

  I can set my profile to only calls, then scroll the gift to put ringtones and alerts. Of course all the sounds are turned off, but each category lists the LED on or off for the messages.

  Do you think that as well?

  For all messages (text, email, phone) I'm not get notified with the right method identified in my profile. All I get is the LED flashing... no vibration or tone.  I checked then double my notification profile has been properly settled and have gone through the troubleshooting guide over and over again and everything is set correctly - it simply doesn't!

  I checked that I have the sound on my phone while listening to ringtones etc.

  It's very frustrating and I hope someone can help me!

  I just got a new Tour 9630 (yesterday, 3 hours before a trip - bad idea) and am quite happy this day except: I can't delete notifications of incoming e-mails.  I have the email account and secondary account lequipetv.fr put in place and for each one I entered alert messages and selected-> Off vibration and Volume-> Silent.  However, when an email on each account arrives, I always get a double notification to vibrate.  On my previous Blackberry, it worked, but now I can't make it work properly.  All of the suggestions.

  the only thing I've found is to create a custom profile. You define each notification exactly the way you want. For me, the phone vibrates, sms vibrate, no email no vibration.

  I call it the stealth mode!

  Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I was delighted to see I can finally update my Bold 9700 to OS6 and did both.

  Unfortunately, I discovered all the preset alarm and original settings notification sounds are gone now, and most of them have been replaced by rather lame. Is it possible to retrieve or download the old sounds OS5 Bold 9700 from an official source (!)?

  I really wouldn't be forced to adapt to the new sounds and alarms.

  Scroll down the page until you get to the section "What's new", click on ringtones OS5 OS6 for download all previous ringtones.

  I looked in the forums briefly before asking this question.

  Is the 8310 (or any other model of Blackberry) have a function where it will automatically change your profile on vibrate or silent when you're in a meeting or a meeting where Show Time As is set to busy?

  I don't want to step on toes here so correct me if I'm wrong. But put the phone mode standby no effect profile ringtone. May I suggest you click on options and then screen/keyboard.   It could be a lot of things.

  Click on the Messages icon, then press the menu key and select display folder.  If you scroll through the records one by one, you should be able to locate the message.

  You probably only he hidden or moved to a folder.

  Check all folders on your home screen.

  I think these are more a problem with the facebook settings not the device itself. Notification settings of e-mail on the facebook site (not the phone) send you a message in the facebook app on the phone. Mobile facebook settings are those who send you text messages. Go edit those to your facebook site preferences.
