There are known issues with the application of e-mail on the device configuration.  Here are a few solutions for you:

    1. enter in the website of BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) of your provider on your PC. Depending on your service provider, the URL may vary. For example, mine is att.blackberry.com

    2. from your browser of the device, go to mobile.blackberry.com. Select your country, then go to share > Email. Scroll to other personal e-mails and click on join now, then start the configuration of e-mail.

I have the blackberry curve 8520 and the icon envelope message from the homepage has disappeared. I always get new warning messages, but there is no envelope icon to navigate when you switch on the phone. Any ideas?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Hide you? Try to activate "Show all" to see.

Did you move it? Try searching all the folders (for example, Applications, downloads, etc.) to see. Make sure you have "Show all" active there as well.

Have you installed a new theme? Those who can hide things away.

If all those who fail, then I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! Good luck and let us know!

  • Inoperative menu of blackBerry Smartphones in the profiles of school boards

After you set up a profile of your ring, when I closed the profile program, I found two rated "Advanced" ads - I preceded by the little person icon and one yellow star, the other without an icon but with... after it.  Menu will not work with any of the profiles icons now. How to restore?

    DTM = DeskTopManager

Backup and restore, it's what he does to

in the backup and restore section, there is a 3rd option advanced...

in this way, you can choose some backup databases

reason, we should go advnaced in this case instead of a full backup is to avoid the backup of the database of profiles

in the Advanced window, the right side is your Blackberry... Select the database on the right, he move to the left by using the arrow

Once you have all the DBs law you need of relief on the left side

top of page left, click file, save as... and save the file

When you have cleared your handheld, you can restore this backup the normal route

  • My menu wifi blackBerry smartphones is broken

My menu wifi is broken and rely on the wifi network menu... only an empty box with exclamation is delivered with an ok in it.

Please give a solution to this.

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  • Volumer icon missing blackBerry Smartphones

I recently let my brother use my phone and long story short when he gave it back I was missing the volume icon.  I can't get it back.  I can only go to vibrate through the square key.  If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

See if it is hidden. From the main screen hold down your ALT key, then click on an icon and choose Show all. See if you see your profiles icon then. If you do just ALT + click on it and uncheck Hide

Alternatively you can try to reset the theme. Go to Options | Theme. Of in this screen, press the menu key, and then choose Reset default theme.

  • Integrated Message Folder - MISSING blackBerry smartphones

I hope someone can help me.  My built-in message folder is missing.  Can you please help me get back?  This is the folder by default with BB, which is home to all your messages, but more importantly still receives my messages from my main account (works) with BB.

First, do a simple reboot and see if it reappears: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    Otherwise:

    1. on your home screen, press Menu > SHOW ALL, so that ALL DISPLAY is checked.
    2. look in EVERY folder on your device... Applications, instant messaging, downloads, etc.
If you don't see it still, look at the Options > advanced > Applications. Do you not see it listed there?

  • Profiles of change of blackBerry Smartphones

I looked in the forums briefly before asking this question.

Is the 8310 (or any other model of Blackberry) have a function where it will automatically change your profile on vibrate or silent when you're in a meeting or a meeting where Show Time As is set to busy?

I don't want to step on toes here so correct me if I'm wrong. But put the phone mode standby no effect profile ringtone. May I suggest you click on options and then screen/keyboard. Scroll down and change one of the keys of convenience on the side of "profiles". Click the previous button to save. This way you can quickly change your quiet or silent phone without having to find the icon.

The browser icon is missing from my homepage.  Some icons are hidden.  When I check under applications browser it shows as installed.  Help!

What was before and everything has disappeared? If you change the theme (Options |) Theme) is still missing.

Try the re-registration of the device by going to Options | Advanced options | The host routing table. Select the "BOLD" entry, press the menu button and select Save now. That should send a message of registration of your provider to the device. Then try to remove the battery for 30 seconds.

  • Profile of Notification Messages blackBerry Smartphones

    Hi all:

Just got my 8330 the other day and enjoy all its features.  A problem however, I tried a dozen times to change the message notification profile if the declarant 'ligthspeed' darn and vibrate is turned off when I get emails.  Somehow, even if I did what I've read, heard and understood by experimenting over and over again, i.e. of the profiles-Menu-Edit-roll to level 1 or Message, etc. - Select-Choose Options (off case, ring, etc.).

Nowhere in any of my profiles see the your "lightspeed" and the three vibrations that go with, but yet both continue to rear their ugly head whenever I get an email or a message.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks - Cervoni d.

Yes, it should be. Have you recently added this account or has been there for a while? You can try to do a battery pull. Take the battery with the phone and leave it for 30 seconds. Put it back in and allow the phone for 1-3 minutes to restart. Then check if the email is listed. Otherwise you can go in personal email configuration and delete the email account and set it up again. Which supplier is through email?

  • My facebook messenger missing blackBerry smartphones!

Please, how can I recover my facebook messenger icon? I noticed my messenger facebook icon, my facebook has disappeared from my home screen. I was able to download facebook icon but I do not know how...

First of all, be sure that it is not only hidden.  From your home screen, press menu and select Show all or show all if one is an option.  If the icon is hidden, it shows.

If this does not work, make sure that you have installed on your phone facebook.  To do this, go to your list of Applications.  Found by starting on your screen home and following Options > device > management applications or Options > Applications, depending on what phone you use.

If it is displayed in this list, you install, but you have no icon.  To resolve this problem, highlight the program in the Applications list, press your menu button, select Remove and delete.  Then, from the browser on your phone, type www.blackberry.com/facebook and download again.

Let us know if that helps you.

  • GPS icon missing BlackBerry Smartphones

I had just bought a BB 9000 "BOLD" and I got Vodaphone UK as a service provider.  My question to all, is that when I look at the menu, I don't have the GPS icon everyone takes to run BB Maps.  I looked in several websites, but I have not found the "right" answer, I need.  I also looked at the Options > Advanced Options > GPS and have updated it.  When I do, I can't pick up my current position.  I also looked at the Options > Advanced Options > Applications and found Blackberry Maps, v. 4.6.0.  I am running firmware 4.6.0.162 v. (4.0.0.155 platform).  Please, help me find my icon or something that will allow me to use the Blackberry maps.  Thank you for your time.

I had the same problem.  In the end, I called Vodafone and they sent me a link to download.  Although they give him free his sometimes "not there."  Just give them a call and they will send you the link.

  • MMS missing blackBerry Smartphones feature

I'm missing the MMS feature/link/button you want to call it on my "BOLD". I am running v4.6.0.162 (Platform 4.0.0.155) version of Asia, I thought that its my OS... BUT it is impossible, I don't know the people in East Asia using MMS!

So the question is, is this my phone? or does have to do with my service provider? When I say service provider, I have to actually tell them I want the MMS service. and feature will be visible only as MMS?

Can someone or people! give me some answers please!

You can reload the OS with your new version of carrier.

Click here to get your carrier software - http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

It's the device, software, not the Office Manager.

Download and double-click to install you're your computer. Don't connect the device again.

Once done, go to drive C: Program Files: common files: Research in Motion: App Loader and double-click on loader.exe.

Once the Welcome screen is displayed, plug in the unit and click Next. When you see the PIN number appear after maybe a few minutes press next.

Once he arrives at the device application part, select only things you need, uncheck all other languages, etc..

On the last page before you click on finish, you see an option "ADVANCED", click on this button and make sure that both check boxes are fixed.

  • Missing blackBerry Smartphone email icon

I've just updated the software on my Curve 8520 and one of my e-mail icons disappeared. I've had two, a work (Microsoft Exchange) and staff (Hotmail), but now the Hotmail one disappeared. I tried to delete and add several times (with turn market once again in the meantime) and she accepted everything and said it would put an icon on the desktop, but it didn't. Phone clearly recovers emails from Hotmail because I have new notifications of message, but no way to get home.

Open the menu. Now, press the key (symbol of Blackberry) for the Menu options. If your icon is hidden, you will find an option "View all".

Now, select 'Show all' so that you can find all the hidden icons.
Now, go to the icon that is hidden and press the menu button and uncheck the option "hide".
