PROFINET for cdaq controllers

Hello

Anyone know if the c-Series of Profinet slave module will work on the cDAQ programmers (RTOS)?  It is explicitly listed as compatible with the cRIO, but I can't find evidence that it will work on the cDAQ controllers.

Thank you

Wes

Hi Wes,

The PROFINET cRIO module requires the use of LabVIEW FPGA.  For this reason, it is not compatible with the cDAQ chassis without worrying if they are running an operating system in real time.

You're right, previously, it was not possible to access the properties of the façade on RT systems. Our new generation of equipment based on LInux RT integrates a HMI "emulator" that allows you to interact with your façade.

  • Miss C Quick Module for cDAQ-9137

    Hi all

I'm trying to implement a cDAQ-9137 for continuous data capture, without monitoring and logging for a long period of time (2 weeks +). I just created a new empty Labview project and added my cDAQ as target. However, when I right click on my cDAQ and go to 'Add targets and devices', the guest of the C module is missing, the only option is ' Chassis MXIe-RIO ". I was trying to get out of this tutorial: http://www.ni.com/tutorial/52027/en/

I have attached a screenshot of the measurement and Automation Explorer and the guest of labview. In particular, I am trying to add the 9232 OR "cDAQ1Mod3." It is installed, and I can run a panel of test with him.

I'm a lab intern, and I have not much experience with labview, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi AbeG,

Thank you for fixing the screenshots of your project and MAX OR this post on the forum! Unfortunately, I don't have a CompactDAQ real-time directly available to test for the moment, but I'm fairly certain that you should be able to read I/O without adding explicitly in the Modules of the series C with your cDAQ. The reason why you must explicitly add the CompactRIO modules targets is because modules runs in the interface of the Interface of scanning or FPGA. With a goal of RT CompactDAQ, there is no interface FPGA option; instead your controller will read I/O to your Modules in the series C directly.

If there is not an option for 'Module of the C series' in the submenu again when right clicking the target RT CompactDAQ, then I am inclined to believe that you should be able to target by device name thereafter. I want to say is that if you create a VI using our DAQmx API below your target RT CompactDAQ, you should be able select "CDaq1Mod3" as a material target for this task. Please check that is a DAQ Assistant or create a task DAQmx simple acceleration (or whatever it is you measure) under the lens of RT CompactDAQ. Thank you!

  • Driver for USB controllers

I recently had to replace the hard drive in my Pavilion dv6. Everything went perfectly. However, during the two weeks, my USB ports have stopped working one by one.

In Device Manager, there are 4 devices listed under 'Other devices': 2 inputs for USB PCI Device and SM Bus controller. I did my best to find the drivers that seem to be missing, but I have been unable to do.

Hardware for the PCI device ID:

    PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_5209 & SUBSYS_1805103C & REV_01
    PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_5209 & SUBSYS_1805103C
    PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_5209 & CC_FF0000
    PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_5209 & CC_FF00

For SM Bus controller hardware ID:

    PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_780B & SUBSYS_358B103C & REV_13
    PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_780B & SUBSYS_358B103C
    PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_780B & CC_0C0500
    PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_780B & CC_0C05

    For USB controller hardware ID:

    PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_7812 & SUBSYS_358B103C & REV_03
    PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_7812 & SUBSYS_358B103C
    PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_7812 & CC_0C0330
    PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_7812 & CC_0C03

Of course, I tried to restart, and then uninstall these devices and reboot (several times). I also tried to install some drivers who seemed to have success with other users. Nothing has worked so far.

Any suggestion or idea would be greatly appreciated.

    See you soon,.

    Hello:

Download and install the amd chipset drivers and restart.  You want the first file listed in the page.

Who should install the smbus and usb controllers.

I need some aspects of assistance to the deactivation of snapshots for 2 VMS in my HA cluster running Active Directory to Windows 2008 R2.

I read that best practices for virtual machines running that active Directory is never for them to snapshot.

VMware has no system automatically taking portraits.

Snapshots exist either because you made them manually, an application backup created. In this case, talk with your backup vendor.

I noticed that you are using the screw of PID. Gains on these screws are based on TIME instead of GAIN. You should be able to build a PID regulator and vary the gains and then compare the results.

I would go for the last 7.0.X.

Hardware specifications for two controllers, you will find that the SD and SDHC cards up to 32 GB are supported.  There is no model or brand recommended, but there are 16 GB (783658 - 01) and 32 GB (783659-01) maps available for purchase through the OR.  You can find those listed in the accessories section available hardware user manual.  See the fees section of the controller product page for more details.

What do you mean not relevant? I think that you are the first person who thinks that drivers are not relevant. Be so kind and explain what you mean exactly.

in any case: have you installed the drivers all listed according to the order of installation of document "guidelines for facilities?

  • cDAQ 9171 verification of the calibration

We try to evaluate the verification requirements of a single 9171 locations USB cDAQ chassis calibration.

We use a cDAQ 9171 to take some simple +/-5 volts using an analog input module 9205 readings.  The 9205 has a specific calibration and verification manual for voltage measurements, no confusion there at the moment.

This article has a general verification for cDAQ chassis process that focuses on a digital input module.  Is this something that will affect the analog voltage signals, we'll pick up?  Is there a way to check the calibration using the module, we already have?  Or is the calibration process 9205 alone that relate to our simple tension collection installation?

The calibration of the frame is reserved for the digital I/o. This is why I do not think that this will affect the readout. Calibration of the module must be the only one that applies to analogue tasks.
