Program crashes when you try to uninstall

I have Vista o/s.  I'm trying to uninstall a program, however, he is suspended and will not perform the uninstall.  When I try to uninstall another program it won't let me because it is waiting for the first uninstall successful. How can I get the first program out of the queue?
