Program Microsoft Greetings Workshop

I have a Windows greetings biomedical program that I bought in 1996.  I haven't used it for a short while and when I tried to use it today the message I get is 'I have problems with a database." I have reinstall the program, but has exactly the same result. All solutions?   PeterFK

I suggest you to send your request to the Group of Discussion workshop greetings that you get a better overview of the program and the operating system.

I installed Microsoft Greetings Workshop of and first CD of Windows 98 on my Toshiba Satellite 755 laptop running Windows 7 64-bit.  I am able to create maps and print using Greetings Workshop.  Unfortunately, I can't send e-mail Greetings Workshop cards.  I get error messages saying that it is too big.  How can I transfer the map from Greetings Workshop to my Image to compress for emailing software?  Is there another way I can email these cards directly from Greetings Workshop?

Depends on exactly what kind of file that the program creates as to if you can send this file as an attachment which can be read on another PC.

As it is, I suspect you would need to print the file then print scan using your scanner.

You are lucky, the program installed at all and can be used

Greetings Workshop does not work on my computer acer laptop with windows vista. says that it cannot read a part of the program. How can I make it work?

    Hey monkeymanknitting

1st thing is to see if it is compatible with vista

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-Vista/

If it's trying to do a right-click on the setup.exe then run as administrator

If this is not vista compatible read below

  • greetings workshop deluxe installation

I recently got my laptop fixed & I tried to reinstall the deluxe Greetings Workshop, but I get a message that says:

"Greetings Workshop does not work because one of its components is missing.  Restart your computer and re-run the Setup program so that the missing piece can be localized.

I tried that & still nothing.  I have Vista on the laptop.  Some help would be appreciated to solve this.  Thank you.

    Windows Vista Compatibility Center

First thing to do is to check its Vista compatibility at the link above, and if not to see what patches/solutions are available from its manufacturer...

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-compatibility-mode/

If this is not Vista compatible, read the info on the link above.
It works for some programs, but not all.

This applies to software programs, NOT hardware drivers.

If it's Vista compatible > uninstall it > Re-download/save to your desktop > right click on setup.exe O run as admin.

If the above does not resolve the problem, try the Vista programs Forum:

  • Print Greetings Workshop

My Greetings Workshop works very well.  I now have a new printer, and when I was ready to print a map program got me a one-time test. When I printed the page outside my card, I made the mistake of telling the program what it printed perfectly and then I realized that it printed on the left side of the page instead of the right.  Now it won't let me come back to fix this error.  I tried making a new map, but have the same problem.  How can I fix it?

You must ask the developer to program that the problem has nothing to do with the operating system.

  • The program "Microsoft difficulty it Center ' on my computer is damaged. It does not appear in "Add or remove programs". How can I uninstall?

I use Xp Home.  All the packs of update service, net frameworks and updates are installed.  Install "Microsoft difficulty it Center ' in December 2010 when trouble with internet connection. (This problem turned out be a 'hot VP"to the Exchange and nothing to do with my equipment).  The program "Microsoft difficulty it Center" has worked without problem then but now seems to be corrupted, and I can't seem to uninstall in the usual way.

  • Is there a program similar to the program Microsoft Picture It?

I recently bought a computer with Vista inistalled.  I have a program Microsoft Picture It, that I love dearly, I can't work now because of the 64-bit computer that I use now.  I was told that Microsoft no longer produces the program Microsoft Picture It.  What is a comparable program; so far I have not found one that will do the things that the program Microsoft Picture It will be.

Try this do right click on the icon go to properties then compatibility then check the box run this program in compatibility mode to use the drop-down list and then click the windows 98 / me. Mine has worked this way and I am running windows 7 on my computer.  I hope this helps.

  • Abnormal termination of the program Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error

Whenever I try to install Rosetta Stone "Of the program Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error abnormal termination" is displayed. I tried Microsoft fix the thing but it does not work. Someone please help. I get the message when I download the program on the website of the Rosetta Stone. I can install it with the cd but when I run the program it does not come to the top and the compatibility mode will not work. The program is compatible with windows 7, but my computer says it is not.

A runtime error is a software or hardware problem that prevents a program to function properly. Runtime errors can occur if you are running two software programs that aren't compatible, if your computer has memory problems, or if the computer has been infected by malware.

Therefore, I suggest you to check if there are recent updates available for the program from the manufacturer's website.

Contact the xxxxxxxxx support for assistance on this issue.

This type of error can be caused if the Visual C++ library runtime components are missing or because of a third-party software.

    Follow the steps below:

    Method 1:
If the problem is caused by the lack of Visual C++ libraries, you can download and install the Runtime components of Visual C++ libraries from the link below:

This error can occur when the Microsoft .NET Framework installation on the computer is damaged or is missing.

Try it out below step to reinstall and repair installation of Microsoft .NET Framework on the computer, then check if you can install the software.

    (a) click the Start button, select Control Panel, click programs and then click on 'Turn Windows has or not.' If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    (b) search for Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1 uncheck, click OK and restart the computer.

    (c) after the reboot, open again "Turn Windows features on or off" and place a check next to Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1 and restart the computer.

    Step 2

If the previous step fails, then I suggest that you manually download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 and 2008 Redistributable Package and check to see if you can install the software.

In programs and features, you do not show that you have installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable and Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable? If this is not the case, download the links here.

  • During ANY installation of a program (e.g. Skype), I get the "year error occurred while attempting to create the directory C:\Program\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu.

    original title: facilities program

During ANY installation of a program (e.g. Skype), I get the "year error occurred while attempting to create the directory C:\Program\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu. What happened with cd installs, but also downloads on the internet.  I already "took possession" of the computer, which is still delayed freaking, but am still unable to fight through all the questions of security, I guess that.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm about to DOWNGRADE to something more user-friendly.  Thank you

BTW, this is WINDOWS 7 Home Premium

I had this problem for a long time on Windows 7. Finally, by pure chance I came across this solution that solved the problem. -Take the shortcut of the property

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/1911-take-ownership-shortcut.html

You will need to run the "fusion" in the context menu of a reg file, published as part of the solution to change some registry settings. On any folder, you'll get a context menu 'Take Ownership' which restores the property correctly. This solves a lot of problems installing.

Many people have trouble with this and therefore decided to post here.

Gem of a solution. Thanks to GRIM and Brink on Windows 7 Forum!
