  You must have installed a Windows 7 64-bit driver (if it exists)
  for this. Do you have? Otherwise, navigate to the web site of the camera
  manufacturer, search, download and install it.

• Lost the program Office 2003 Windows Vista - please help

  I lost Office 2003 from my laptop Windows Vista Home Premium - I know not how--I still files of Word, Outlook etc, but nothing in them - I really need to get to word files I have, but they opened used - please help - I can not afford to buy it. I'm sure it's still in the material somewhere, but how can I reinstall it?

• Windows xp pro sp3 will not start corrupted boot.ini and hal.dll - please help

  I installed Norton 360 offred via internet was last updated.  It immediately launched all applications previously disabled at STARTUP in msconfig.  And shortly after he started to gives me the blue screen "to the death".  This done in two days, and I was desperately trying to solve the problem by turning off almost all applications critical to running Windows XP Pro SP3, Norton and Office 2007 Home and student.  I even went and tried to edit the Boot.ini file in startup and recovery under the Advanced tab in the workstation properties.  Now all I get is an error message Windows cannot start because the hal.dll file is missing or damaged.  I replaced it by copying a modified version of the boot sequence, while the hard drive of my laptop was enslaved to my desktp PC, but nothing helped.  I can't even the Recovery Console to start on my laptop.  I need HELP, please.

  These profile errors are usually caused by one of the following:

  1-profile corruption.  The user profile is damaged and that Windows cannot load.  To resolve this issue, create a new user profile and move your files to the new profile.   See here for more information:

  2 drives or corruption of the file system.  Run chkdks /f on the volume C:.  Please note that there is ALWAYS a risk of data loss when chkdsk is run on a volume, ideally, you should have a backup of your files before running chkdsk.

  3 - virus or malware activity.  Some of these parasites can revoke your permissions on the folder of your profile, check the permissions on "C:\Documents and Settings\Andre" and make sure you have a full control on the folder.  Check this box until you try #1 or 2 above.

  Some of these parasites can also revoke your permissions in key areas of the registry and create real Dany on the machine that can prevent you to run some of your software.  Use Regedit to load your old profile hive (NTUSER. (DAT) in your profile folder (C:\Documents and Settings\Andre\NTUSER. (DAT) and make sure you have full control over the key.  In the advanced security settings to ensure that the child objects are inherit permissions from the parent and put a check mark on "replace entries permissions for all child objects...". "Click on apply and OK your way out.  See here for easy to follow instructions for loading and editing of remote registry hives: http://www.rwin.ch/xp-live/regedit.htm make sure you unload the hive when you're done, otherwise the changes will not be saved.

  These parasites can also revoke permission on the other key of registry and system files, you can use SubInACL to restore your permissions on these key objects, see here for more information:

  Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

  If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

  You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type sfc in the search box, right-click to SFC. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

  Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To make, click Start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

  I'm taking my first class of SQL programming, and I have no experience with SQL. Some of the exercise questions give me wrong, so I was hoping that someone would be kind enough to help.

  I'm supposed to write a query that displays the name of the family (with the first letter capitalized and all other letters lowercase) and the length of the name of everyone whose name begins with the letters J, or M.

  
  The second part, where I include employees whose name begins with J, A, or M, gives me fits. I can query an initial one at a time, but I was not able to interview several initials.

  That's what I have so far:

  SELECT INITCAP (last_name), 'Name', LENGTH (last_name) "length".

  Employees

  WHERE last_name LIKE'm %';

  But, when I try to ask for M, and J I get errors.

  For example:

  I have tried so many combinations, it's driving me crazy.

  Welcome to the forum!

  In the WHERE clause, you can have a State composed, i.e. 2 or more simple conditions combined by using GOLD or et.  In this case:

  WHERE last_name LIKE'm %'

  OR last_name LIKE 'a % '.

  OR last_name LIKE 'J % '.

  The WHERE clause as a whole is regarded as TRUE 1 if all the pieces of GOLD-bounded is TRUE,

  It's just one of the many ways to get the desired results.  The that I would probably use for this task is

  WHERE SUBSTR (last_name, 1, 1) IN (', 'A', 'J')

  and miss me the drivers that I can't find on the support page, in addition to that, the auto-scan driver does any work on my browser.

  Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum. I googled and it seems that this file can be linked to a program that may be related to your internet browser.  I suggest you perform a clean boot.  If the message disappears so that you can follow the steps described in the article below to allow a few items at a time until you find the program that is trying to use this file.  Once you have that you can reinstall as it is, if it's something you need, or you can remove the entire program.

• Programs and serious missing drivers! Help!

  After a power failure and compu crash we preformed a reinstall of XP Home ed. program newly installed XP now is on drive D instead of C.

  The C drive is still intact, but not the original reading programs in place or they were abolished and all drivers are missing. My FAT system is also absent. I'm basically under C and D NTFS drives. What the hell happened past and how to fix it?

  You are supposed to be NTSF.

  (1) go to the manufacturer website and download the drivers for your computer.

  (2) reinstall all your programs from the original media.

• 9 bit RS485... missing data please help!

  Hi guys, I'm running a 9 bit RS485 .vi and although I get successfully most of what I need through with no problems (using the trick of mark/space parity), there are a few problems.

  It's to do with the headers, I put in place; both are 5 characters and although I can see all 5 present on our scope, LabVIEW is only showing the last 3 characters and I can't work where the first 2 are or how to make them appear.

  The funny thing is, one of our PC does a similar thing but will dispay just the FIRST 3 characters of the header, not the last 3 as on our other 4 PCs. All of our PC using 2 isolated, NEITHER Port RS485, even if we use a few different versions of LabVIEW 8.2 in 2009.

  Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

  Hello. Recently, I moved my user folder to a new HARD drive and placed my apps and system folders on a smaller SSD on my iMac. After my OS SSD for my file on the other drive HARD internal via prefs system all works well - InDesign links, iTunes library, etc. - except that all assets in all my Muse site links are broken and muse can not see my original files. Can someone point me in the right direction for a solution please?

  Have you tried to repeat the asset with the new root path? If this isn't the case, then try it please.
