Program opens reduced, will not maximize.

Virtual DJ opens reduced on the taskbar and will not maximize. Manager tasks shows the currently running program. PC is not configured for multiple displays.

Thanks for the reply. I had already tried the open road maximizes that did not work. Only VDJ has this problem as far as I am aware. Ran uninstall and reinstalled latest rev and now works fine.

  • Open windows do not maximize to desktop

I have a Windows 7 problem that when I have a few windows open for different programs minimized on the task bar and I'm trying to maximize their even once, they will not maximize.  Sometimes they seem to maximize on the right side of the desktop, and sometimes they will not maximize to all.  I have to close the program, and then reopen it.  When it happens in Internet Explorer I get extended again if I click with the right button on the icon in the taskbar and select open a new tab.  Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

    To disable Aero snap:

    1. click on Start.
    2. in the search box, type snap .
    3. When Disable automatic window setting appears, click it.
    4. check the [] next to prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen.

I am not convinced that this will solve your problem, but keep the fingers crossed.

Can you be more specific on what you're trying to do, exactly?  In re-reading your original post, I wonder if you do not use the term "Enlarged" as expected.

Normally, when a window is on the screen and does not cover the entire screen, which is regarded as a windowed mode normal, sometimes called "restored".  Expanded", however, is when the window covers the entire screen.

Do you mean a window restores off the screen?  If so, it may be that the coordinates of the window have been stored correctly (I've seen that happen before).  There is a way to "get in" on these windows and move them back to the screen.  To do this, try this:

    1. restore the window you want to see (for example, by clicking on it in the taskbar).
    2. press these keys: hold down the Alt key and press the space bar once.
    3. press the button M (for 'move').
    4. now, move your mouse.  You should see a slider 4 positions.
    5. now press on of the arrow keys on your keyboard and you will find you have hold of the window and you can move it where you want.
    6. close the window and he should remember where you left it for the next time.

FYI, you can also access other features of handling of window by holding down the SHIFT key when you click on a button of the taskbar.

    Good luck.

  • Open windows will not restore when clicked in the taskbar

I have been using Windows 8 on the same computer for over a year. Recently, I started having a problem where, when I have several windows open and they will all be displayed in my taskbar, I can't not often move a window open to the other by simply clicking on the button of the desired window in the taskbar. That didn't used to be a problem, and I don't know when or why it is native. What this means to me, is that, to pull up another window open on my screen, I have to either (1) click on the button in the toolbar of the window you want several times before it will finally come, or, if this does not work, (2) reduce the window of the program, I currently have pulled up on my desktop , which will then allow me to click on the button on the other program in the toolbar pull up.

To make sure that I'm explaining this properly, let me give you an example:

If I have an Internet browser, Microsoft Word, a program of messaging and Adobe Reader all open them on my computer and I'm displaying a document in Microsoft Word, but want to spend it watching Adobe Reader, I'll try by clicking on the Adobe button in the taskbar. What happens in general now, is that the Adobe button lights up a bit in response to my having clicked on it, but the program is not pull upwards on the screen. If I click twice more, sometimes the program opens, but sometimes not. At that moment to open it I have to minimize Microsoft Word, and if Adobe Reader is not what is now on my screen, I can then go ahead and click on the button in the task bar and it will pull up.

Someone knows how to fix this?

    Thank you!

Hi Shawn, I'm sorry to take a little time to return to you on this. Interestingly, somehow in the last days that problem has resolved itself without making me any change. I know that's not too helpful with regard to the identification of what was the cause of the problem in the first place, but I'm glad it's resolved. I went ahead and went through the steps you described above for simply speed/clean my computer a little. Thank you for taking the time to help! Thank you!

  • Firefox shows upwards on the taskbar but will not maximize when clicking on window

I tried re installation, but when I click the icon it will appear on the taskbar but will not maximize.

It is a more detailed explanation of the above.

Sometimes, a window is "off the screen" somehow. Often, you can force it to appear on the screen by right clicking on the thumbnail image just above the taskbar and choose expand. Does it work?

A possible cause for this is that the file that stores the positions and sizes of window is corrupt.

#1 method: If you can get a zoomed window:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

#2 method: If you can not get a Firefox window for all:

Close Firefox by right clicking the icon in the taskbar > close all windows.

Using the Run dialog box (windows key + R) or the search for the start bar menu (or Windows 8.1 may bar charms bar research?) type or paste the following and press ENTER to drill down to the profiles folder:

    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Here you can see a folder - in this case, double-click that - or more than one case - in this case, double-click on in what looks like the most recently updated.

Scroll down and rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

    Hi, Sofie,.

You will need to update your antivirus and run a full scan of the system in safe mode. Reference: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222 on how to start the pc in safe mode.

You may need to consult: listed process: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310585 :

You will need to rename regedit.exe regedit.com, and then click on Start-> Type Ru & -> Regedit-> ok.

    Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\Exefile\Shell\Open\Command
(you will have to press on + to achieve order)

Now, double-click default slot right windows and then change the value in this box for '%1' % *.

    Repeat the same for HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Exefile\Shell\Open\Command

Close regedit, restart your pc and check if its working.

    I hope this helps.

  • Microsoft, including word, excellent programs and powerpoint, will not be full screen in their own Office tabs

    Hello

For some reason, Microsoft programs, I have installed on my Macbook Pro, including word, excellent and powerpoint, will not be full screen in their own office tabs.  When you click on the button to decompress the file in its own tab office + Green, the window covers just everything that is on the current tab.  Here is a screenshot attached.  The screenshot shows the «expanded» word document  In the past, when you click on the green button, it would be fully filtered file on its own tab.  Any ideas on the cause and a fix?  This only happens with Microsoft programs.

    Thank you!
