  I have a Windows XP computer and I use for months and never had a problem. Recently, I tried to install an older version of Quicken (Quicken 2004, which was built for Windows XP). It opens the splash screen, and then immediately close. Now, my email client (Eudora 5.1.1 who was also made for XP) will not go beyond the start screen.

  I tried "sfc/scannow" and asked that the XP disc and fixed a few things, but I'm still not able to open a program. I had a problem with the NET framework, but I reinstalled it and it works fine. What should I do? Any suggestions?

  I can't get my autoblogging software to run on Vista. I know it works with vista, because other users have on their machines. The developer also said it works on vista very well.

  For some reason, it does not work on my machine. I installed 2 different versions of the software and both give me error in the title of this thread immediately. He doesn't have the ability to load up and fail or anything he just lift the error immediately.

  What is the EXACT error message (Word for Word)?  What version of Vista you are using?  What is the name and version of the software (and the Web site if you have one)?

  If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

  Start in safe mode with network and see if the problem is here.  A result allows us to narrow down the search for the cause.

  You can find it by searching or by manually selecting C:\Program Files\Windows Mail\wab.exe

  To open the contact files correctly, right click on the contacts file you want to open, and then select open with, choose default program, click Browse, locate wab.exe and select it, finally click ok

  Hey I just tried to do what this person said to no avail... then I realized that for some reason any when I opened the photos, he had failed to open in a program that I had uninstalled from my computer. Usually the images open in windows photo gallery, as soon as I changed it back to be opened in this program, it worked.

  You can try contact preferences, general, show contacts is found in Apps, but there are also some programs that complement your Contacts automatically. I think there is an Add on Facebook that does this, but I am not sure.

  I don't think that the parameter "Found in Apps" actually creates contacts, however. I think that it shows everything that was found. However, other programs must create contacts.

  Macrium Reflect allows cloning. Once you have a cloned partition, you can see inside the clone and recover files and folders from it. Here is a well written tutorial from the how-to Geek on the subject.

  I have a Belkin Windows Easy Transfer cable and have used it a few times. My results with Windows Easy transfer, and that is why my preference is the use of a cloning utility instead. Macrium Reflect has never failed me, and I've used dozens of times.

I have a Gateway desktop computer and a Dell desktop computer as well with Vista on it I could add my card file to the bridge, but Dell doesn't let me. All my personal information is on the cards.   Cardfile.exe is earlier than Windows 95, it actually appeared back in WFWG 3.11.  In these conditions, I will assume that the Dell is a 64-bit computer.  I can tell you cardfile works on my Vista 32 installation.  If all else fails, you may need help from third parties:
