Progress bar for indexing?

I spend a lot of time re organize my data under Windows 7 and am now re-indexing. It is a big job and the hours. If I shut down my machine, indexation will continue where it left off, or is it to square? Incidentally, it would be nice to have a clue as to how far by the task of making my PC has. I see a previous answer that you get only the number of records processed. Help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, Windows does not know how many eligible files will be indexed until he finds them, nor how long it will take to the index of each of them (because the time it takes depends on the type of file, size of the file, encoding used, etc.).

However, the good news is that Windows will always resume where it left off, so you won't lose any progress if you interrupt the process.

If it solves your problem, click on the link "Propose as answer" below and vote as useful by clicking on the green triangle for the lelft. Thank you!

  • There was formerly a progress bar for when the e-mails were being downloaded. It has now disappeared. What happened to him?

    My e-mail provider does not always play nice. There has always been a progress bar in the status bar to indicate that the emails were download correctly. If I don't see the progress bar, I knew to check with the provider. Recently, the progress bar went, and I have no way of knowing whether or not the emails are downloading. They appear any kind of surprise. In addition, I used to send a message that there is no new messages availalble to download (if there is no message to download) on the status bar even. He went as well. I have so no way of knowing if I get no messages because there is no, or if I don't receive messages because the provider did something. So my question is: is this an error with Thunderbird or was there an update which resulted in a loss of function that I relied on? If it's an error, what should I do about it?

    Good to know. It has been long since this problem was asked about. I thought Ad Blocker had fixed their add on.

    You mark this as resolved if it is satisfied? Thanks for the update of the question in order to help the next user of Thunderbird.

  • Progress bar on ingest?

    I've always wondered why there is no progress bar or status indicator appears so when I ingest. I've read through the forums and it seems that there should be some kind of bar that appears at the bottom left of the window, but I have never seen one. I looking in the wrong place? Is there something I need to enable in the settings? I've included a screenshot taken during ingest. I know, copying files because they continue to appear in the project window and events. I also keep an eye on my HARD disk using utility iStat Menus activity, so I know that readers are reading/writing as confirmation of activity.

    It would really help if I could see the status, not only in the form of visual (status bar), but also provide the elapsed time, remaining time, '12.5 GB of 65.2 Go' copied (something like that) would be incredibly useful. On a shoot, I swallow, literally, thousands of clips (from several cameras) in a day. I have them the tail and guarding basically copies until late into the night, to find out where I can be very useful. If it's going to take 5 hours, I can take a NAP!

  • Dynamically drawn centering on stage progress bar

    Hello

    I am trying to add a progress bar tied to the timer for 60 seconds (for a lesson in e-Learning). Found a good sample of progress in AS3 (http://ammarz.org/stuff/TimedProgressBar.zip) bar and I'd like to adapt it to a scene more large (1024 X 768).

    Given that the project will be deployed under the name AIR on Android devices, would Center the bar of progress on the scene. Have you tried many variations of

    xyzprogressbar.x = stage.width/2-progressbar.width/2

    xyzprogressbar.y = stage.height/2-progressbar.height/2

    without success.

    The following based on the codes above example AS3 hard bar of progression to the center of the stage to a stage of 1024 X 768:

    var dimentions:Rectangle = new Rectangle (362 374, 300,20);

    drawProgressBar (_drawingCanvas.graphics, dimensions, 5, 0, 0 x 990000, 0xFF9900, 0x000000);

    But this does not solve the problem of the progress bar for playback resized on screens different centering device.

    If someone can take a look (adapted example FLA: http://eLearningprojects.com/ProgressBar.zip), offer a way to center the bar in AS3 (without the specific coding x hard = 362, y = 374 dimensions above)?

    Thank you very much for your help.

    Kind regards

  • Building a better progress bar

    Hi all!

    One of the most common items of feedback that we've seen is the lack of a progress bar to inform the student part of the presentation that remains. Of course, there is a bar when the Viewer is in view 'tab', but 'time remaining' listed there is usually WAY off if you let students advance through the presentation at their own pace. We set out to make a progress bar autonomous in Flash that could be placed in any PPT presentation and provide the student with a simple indication of to what extent this time they are. Here's how to make one yourself:

    First of all, your course module must have at least two frames. This is because your module will read data from the "viewer.swf" application which shows the Breeze presentation, and that information are apparently not read until all actions on the frame, one of each present module are made. If the ActionScript to frame 1 of our module is simply:

    this.gotoAndStop (2);

    Then, we are showing the progression of how long is a bar - namely, changing the _width of a movieclip instance property. Our movieclip in the library just a green rectangle, and our instance of which is named progress_mc, with a default width of 285 pixels. Make sure that the bar is aligned on the left and the center of the stage in the movieclip in your library, so that it will grow and reduce properly.

    Now that the bar is set up and ready to handle, here's the code that we placed on the frame 2:

    var mySlideNumber = _root.m_contentView.m_currentSlide.indexInTOC + 1;
    var myLastSlide = _root.m_viewerController.m_slides.length;
    var myIncrement = 285 / myLastSlide; 285 pixels is the default width of the movieclip instance

    progress_mc._width = (myIncrement * mySlideNumber);

    _root.m_sidebarView.m_elapsedBar._visible = false; This hides the incorrect bar "time remaining".

    .. .and that's all it took! Of course, than we do now is somewhat whimsical in terms of design and size to measure for our models, but the code is virtually identical. I can give the module 'progress bar.swf' to anyone to be included in their PPT slides, and it will work perfectly when they compile their Breeze presentation. Only complaint is that you have to stick one on each slide (you want some indication on), rather than put one on the slide master. But, it's always MUCH easier than craft of the progress bars for each presentation.

  • How to make the progress bar display in the icon in the taskbar for WIN 7?

    How to make the progress bar display in the icon in the taskbar for WIN 7? I see Eclipse Helios can show the loading progress bar in the icon in the taskbar of WINDOWS 7 at startup.

    Is not the feature that provides JavaFX, you must write a native connection called technology such as JNI to make specific Windows API call for updating the icon in the taskbar for the application.

    Maybe you could go through the Eclipse source code to see how Eclipse and see if you can make use of the same mechanism in your application.

    More tips on how you can implement this are outside my area of expertise.

  • in IE progress bar problem with on call for application

    I have several on the enforcement of the application process that I have called from javascript. The application process call pl/sql procedures in turn. Some of the procedures can take up to 10 seconds to complete, and while they are running, the screen just to freeze so that the user does not know that they are actually running. So, I would add some kind of a progression or Hourglass bar or an indication that things are moving.

    So I found the instructions of Re: hourglass display when the Page is processing . This works fine in Firefox but not in Internet Explorer.

    My footer text:

    < Style > #AjaxLoading {padding: 5px; do-size: 18px; width: 200px; text-align: center; left: 50%; top: 20%; position: absolute; border: 2px solid #666; background-color: #FFF ;}}
    < / style >
    < div id = "AjaxLoading" style = "" display: none; ">..." Treatment...
    < img src = "" #IMAGE_PREFIX #processing3.gif "id ="wait"/ >"
    < / div >

    My javascript:

    function create_invoice (pMilestoneNumber) {}
    Okay var = ("are confirm you sure you want to charge this invoice?");
    get var = new htmldb_Get (null, $v ('pFlowId'), 'APPLICATION_PROCESS is P110_CREATE_INVOICE', $v ('pFlowStepId'));
    If (! OK)
    return;
    html_ShowElement ('AjaxLoading');
    get.addParam('x01',pMilestoneNumber);
    gReturn = get.get ();
    Alert (gReturn);
    get = null;
    doSubmit();
    }

    In Firefox, the progress bar is displayed immediately after the user clicks ok to the confirmation request. In Internet Explorer, it does not appear until the application process of return with the return message.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

    OK, it wasn't - it is just because there was a bug in my process it seemed that it worked. Sorry end that.

    So I re-tested, and the same problem that you experience will occur if you use Chrome. I think the best way is to use the technique suggested in the original thread that you connected. I so like this:

    function AjaxTest(){
         if(confirm("Are you sure you want to bill this Invoice?")){
              html_ShowElement('AjaxLoading');
              var get = new htmldb_Get(null,$v('pFlowId'),'APPLICATION_PROCESS=IE_TEST',$v('pFlowStepId'));
              gReturn = get.GetAsync(g_AsyncReturn);
         }
    }

    function g_AsyncReturn(){
         if(p.readyState == 4){
              alert(p.responseText);
         }else{
              return false;
         }
    }

    That seems to work for me.

    In addition, you will notice in the example page, it shows the AjaxLoading element when loan State == 1, but in my experience, it doesn't work well not with chrome, so who's right for which I left out of the call back and just show before the process begins.

  • Display of progress bar problem

    Hello

    I have a strange problem with dynamic action jQuery.

    I worked with Apex 4.2 on IE 11. I tried 7 and 26 theme!

    First of all, I modified a page template and added a div of progress bar:

    ...
    <body #ONLOAD#>
      <div id="OWN_PROGRESS_BAR"
        <h1>Loading!</h1>
      </div>
    ...

    #OWN_PROGRESS_BAR
    {
      height:200px;
      width:400px;
      position:absolute;
      top:50%;
      left:50%;
      margin:-100px auto auto -200px;
      background:#fff;
      border:1px solid #555;
      z-index: 99999999;
      display: none;
    }

    I then added js functions fo show and hide the element:

      function ShowOwnProgressBar()
      {
        $("#OWN_PROGRESS_BAR").show("slow");
      }

      function HideOwnProgressBar()
      {
        $("#OWN_PROGRESS_BAR").hide("slow");
      }

    Then I added a button that triggers an event, which is caught by a dynamic action.

    In dynamic action, I do following steps:

    1. run Javascript: ShowOwnProgressBar()

    2 run PL/SQL (result of wait)

    3 SetValue

    4 SetValue

    5 refreshment area

    6 run Javascript: HideOwnProgressBar

    It does not work! The progress bar is displayed for one second after completing the process of PL/SQL.

    Does anyone have an idea where the problem would be?

    I'm grateful for any help!

    The problem is that the way in which the work DA browser will be busy and will not refresh the screen while the thread DA is running.

    This can help, try calling ShowOwnProgressBar() with timer.

    setTimeout (ShowOwnProgressBar (), 1);

    I used 1 as gift ' r you really want a delay. But I think that this will make the enforcement code on its own thread.

    Let me know if it helps.

    Thank you

  • precompose layers and progress bar will simply be updated

    Hey, guys, can I come back layer, precomposes and use precompose it to add stuff (name, effects, property and etc.)

    example of

    App.Project.Item (index).layers.precompose (preArray, precomp_name, true); I precompose the layer in this order

    in the future, that I need to do the things that you need to precompose so I need to precompose

    I try to use this

    var curentPrecomp_layers = app.project.item (index).layers.precompose (preArray, precomp_name, true);

    curentPrecomp_layers.name //dont work

    curentPrecomp_layers.width //dont work

    So, how do I get my precompose not using loop to find by name, or it is only for loop?

    also can give me an example of progress bar script, how to create, view, update, hide

    THX.

    For the most part, who currently works as it should.  CompItem (which is what is returned by precompose()) doesn't have a property named index or numItems. However, when I tested numLayers... it worked fine for me.  I had a composition with a single layer and I executed this code:

    layout var app.project.activeItem.layers.precompose = ([1], "new_comp", true);

    Alert (COMP.numLayers);

    He alerted properly '1' as a result.  Could there be another problem with your script where he's dying?

  • Progress bar get about 60% and stuck

    Hello

    I had difficulties with the last update of El Capitan - my imac will not re-start and could get stuck on the spinning wheel. I could turn it off with the power switch and turn it back on w/out the update and it works great except for chrome.

    Today I was asked to restart the update and I thought I'd give it a try. This time, he stops normally and looked like it will re-start! While she has been reset the progress bar froze on the gray apple screen and then the screen started to Flash. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Use the Combo Update 10.11.6:

    Apple - Support - downloads

    The Combo update is a complete installation, as opposed to an incremental "delta" update, so you have to overwrite all files are damaged or missing. It does not matter if you have previously applied. All your data and settings must be kept, but that said, you should always have a backup.
