Property of the concerned disks is necessary.

Hello

During the process of re - configure my drive merger (with the invaluable assistance of Linc Davis in this thread), almost at the end, I walked into a situation where a command could not be completed, and which appeared to the error:

"Property of the concerned disks is necessary."

I am in recovery of the Internet and the HARD drive and SSD are not yet in place.

How can I get my property via Terminal?

Thank you very much.

Why did you continue in the thread you suggested rather than start a new thread?

Could you guide me how to do consolidation by orchestrator.

The literature tells us that the .removeSnapshot_Task function does not require the condolidate of Snapshots parameter to be set to true, as it does by default (This seems to be false, at least in this case). The value if you want to consolidate the disk

  • "Can't find the necessary files" cannot retrieve or create the recovery disk. Help!

I can't refresh PC or create the recovery disk. He keeps going with error message "Cannot find the necessary files" and tells me to insert the recovery media. There is no system restore point, and I've upgraded to Windows 7 Windows 8 Pro without a disc, so I can't do anything. Help! Hello

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I'll certainly try and help you in the matter of fixing.

To help you to propose measures to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:

    1. Why are you trying to cool off the computer?

2 are you facing problems with Windows 8?

    3. how many accounts is configured in the computer?

You can scan the file system (CFS) auditor. This will replace the corrupted Windows files.

    Follow these steps:

    (a) start the desktop view.

    (b) open the command prompt, right-click in the left corner when the windowappears, and select prompt (admin).

    (c) type the following command and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

You can also try to create a new user account and check if the problem persists.

If the problem persists, you will need the DVD to perform repair installation of Windows 8. If you download the installation of Windows 8 files, check your emails, there should be a link to download an ISO file. Download and burn the file to a DVD.

  • ERestoring of CD on the larger disk after a failure of the drive - new drive preparation necessary?

You want to ensure that I have the process down before you begin...

My Acer Aspire AX1301-U1302 small form factor desktop hard drive (windows 7) has failed for a period of 5 minutes yesterday. I can't start Windows. (I assume that the disk is done - data recovery is a different matter).

I have a set of recovery and driver disc discs, that I did when I unpacked the computer and it starts.

I pulled the drive (750 GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 SATA).

I bought a Seagate Barracuda SATA 2 TB drive.

    My next steps:

    (1) install the new drive physically and seal machine.

    (2) will light up

    3) go to setup

optical drive boot of course make 4) is selected

    (5) Insert the first recovery disc in the optical drive

    (6) allow the startup of the computer on the CD

    (7) follow the instructions from the recovery disks

    Issues related to the:

    (1) what I need to partition or to format or prepare the new drive anyway before the process described above (that is to say create a partition or something)?

    (2) the recovery disks work on a bigger than the OEM drive?

    (3) I missed something else?

    Thank you

    Problem solved.

Despite no answer precise questions of formatting and partitioning with a new drive that I asked above search Acer or Google, the installation went well. The hot Virgin spare was automatically partitioned and formatted by the recovery without intervention of the user software.

The hardest part was to push the open DVD button at the right time so I could insert the recovery disk...

As in the first post, I opened the folder and pulled out the bad 750 GB drive. I took the new Seagate barracuda 2 t and hung just as the old drive was - no need to change the jumpers, or anything like that. Under tension. No need to change the bios or boot order as following default startup source is CD/DVD if the primary drive does not start. Message came 'boot from atapi CD... "But then he dumped for a start-up network to try because I had not had the chance to put the first disc of recovery and as a result there is no CD/DVD in the drive. Rebooted a couple of times, hit the open DVD button like crazy until he opened at the right time and I could put the disc in.

Once in the context of road and starting, the Acer Windows 7 recognized recovery disk the new drive to 2t without problem, asked me what kind of food I wanted (os only against entire disk - I said full disk), formatted and partitioned the drive in quiet mode (no message about implementing shaped or partitioning came to the top of all (, not even the State - no prompt, no questions asked no other software required) and began installing windows 7. I have followed the instructions, kept power in the 3 CD because they have claimed and finally had a windows system 7.

Overall, get a defective hard drive to a fresh windows 7 installation was painless. Now if I can only figure out how to use Acronis/seagate diskwizard and Recuva to get the key out of the disc files failing...

  • Install the new disk on Tecra M2

    Hello

I have a laptop Tecra M2 HARD drive abandoned a year ago and served in a drawer since I'm keen to get it up and running again, but wonder if I should buy a HDD that is specific to use in it and what is involved?

My interpretation of it is that it's an IDE HDD that is needed, any 2.5 "IDE HDD off ebay will work or do I need to buy a specific brand, because they are not all in the United Kingdom listed for the M2.

If a generic IDE HDD will work in the laptop (like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HITACHI-30GB-IDE-ATA-PATA-2-5-LAPTOP-HARD-DRIVE-HDD_W0QQitemZ320332706439QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Com puting_HardDrives_RL? hash = item320332706439 & _trksid =p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1300|66%3A4|65%3A12|3 9% 3 a 1 | 3A 1318 240%) are additional media required or should he just fit into the laptop?

Then, once I inserted the HARD drive in the laptop computer and turned on, is there anything else necessary or should just be able to get to the top and running with a disc o/s?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

    Hello

You are right. Tecra M2 must 2.5 IDE HARD drive and you can use it on eBay, but if you must buy new HARD drive I recommend buying the HARD disk with the largest capacity supported. Tecra HDD supports 30 GB HARD drive; 40 GB; 60 GB; 80 GB capacity.

Tecra M2 is cute laptop and if you want to use it for a longer period of time buy 80 GB and be happy. You will have enough space to save a lot of different data.

    Concerning

You can do it. No problem at all. Hard drives are not specific model of laptop parts and with hard drives is important compatibility.
On the new laptop, which you can use different hard drives. Important is that use you compatible HARD drive.

Just do it. After Exchange of HARD drive install Os again and everything will be OK.

  • Satellite A300 - is the recovery disk contains all the drivers?

I bought a new Satellite A300 and now I have to reinstall Windows Vista. My question is:

Through the recovery disk I already have all the necessary drivers for my computer?
What I have to download them one by one in line?

    Thank you for your help

    Ciao

    Michele

    Hello

Yes, the Toshiba Recovery disk contains all the drivers and tools for your laptop. After using the Toshiba Recovery disk, you have the same settings that you have started the laptop the first (out of the box). This means that the disc contains a picture of the factory settings.

The disc is very easy to use: you only have to boot from it and follow the instructions on the screen. Windows, and all drivers will be reinstalled in a few minutes.

  • Info satellite A210 171 what do I need before using the recovery disk?

    Hello

I have 1 recovery disk that came with my equium, have not used before.
It says on the back of the envelope of recovery disk 'insert the first diskette.

I guess there should be a second?

Also this info I need to provide during the installation process? as serial number?
All I have a black and white sticker that is on the side of the box, it came in, but it was so long ago.

I'm having a lot of problems with windows install does not and many others.
Windows updates do not work either and I tried to correct those, but a clean reinstall of the operating system has been recommended.
Now, at this point nothing will install because windows setup will not work.
So I think I wil lhave to try a clean install, but I do know that the cd player works.

I got a great run on this laptop, little slow today for my needs, but all very good product, purchased in 2007.
With a clean OS and 4 GB of ram that could last for years, cannot afford a new right now.
I really tried to avoid using a disc of recovery in the past, as I have never had problems until now.

    Thank you

I m wondering why you get this disc with your laptop, why? Because I do not have the recovery disk, but I had to create one using the Toshiba recovery disc creator software
But my laptop is more recent that your A210 might be the reason why you have this drive

I have created a recovery disk and I needed two-disc DVD, I think it depends on the size of the image file

    > Also what information I need to provide during the installation process? as serial number?
This is not necessary because your system has already been activated.

But I recommend you backup your personal data, because the recovery disk would format the whole HARD drive and you will lose the files.

I want to reboot my Toshiba laptop and I inserted the "Recovery" CD and you press F8 and went on the Help menu, and when the list came I clicked on one who said about to restart my PC and lose all the data and then I clicked on "Restart" and rebooted the computer and the drive was in but he just came back as usual.

What should I do? What I have to press something else?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    ~ Confused ~

To be honest after reading your ad, I am more confused you.

Can you please tell us what phone do you have?
F8 and disc into the optical disc drive. Sorry, but something is wrong with that.

Either you can install Vista again using image stored on the HARD disk (option repair my computer of F8) or use facilities Toshiba recovery media. There is no sense to use both at the same time.

    Please you the necessary details.

  • How to restore the Satellite L25 - where to get the recovery disk

    Hello..

I tried to format my hard drive on my laptop L25, which currently has Win XP, but don't know that if I ever had a CD/DVD of recovery of the person I bought it from.

Does anyone know if this laptop (L25-s1192) contains a picture of the recovery diskette or if I can get a drive recovery somewhere or any other way to format the drive and reinstall the original content of the laptop?

Would appreciate if you could answer.
    Thank you... Amare

    Hello

Usually, the old series from Toshiba was equipped with the recovery disk and the image of Toshiba on the recovery cd.
If you have a recovery disc, then you will have to boot from that disk to start the recovery procedure.

If you don t have a recovery disk, then you can use a clean Microsoft Windows XP CD to reinstall the operating system and the necessary drivers can be downloaded from the Toshiba driver page we.
It is a portable American and you need to find US page for drivers.

  • I reformatted my T520 with the recovery disk, but Windows cannot start

I reformatted my T520 with my recovery disk. When the computer restarts, it says that Windows cannot start properly. Help, please.

I finally solved the problem; Here is my solution:

I have determined that the backup image has been bad, and this is perhaps why the recovery disks have been as bad. I tried to use both to reformat the C:\drive several times without success. Fortunately, I had a Windows 7 disc from another computer that I no longer use. However, the T520 would not be updated to Windows 7 using this disk, so I run Diskpart to reformat all (this removes everything, including the image.) Then, I was able to reinstall Windows 7.

With this new facility, would not any responsible drivers, including LAN and wireless drivers. I went on the Lenovo Web site: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page?selector=expand to download the driver for "Intel Wireless LAN (11abgn, abg, bg). This provided wireless access to the computer. (Downloaded the driver on another computer, saved on a USB stick to transfer to the T520.) Restarted the computer in case where. Then, I went to http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=TVSU-UPDATE to download ThinkVantage System Update 5.0. After you have installed this software and reboot, all the necessary drivers would be so loaded.

Unfortunately, if you don't have any Windows disk, you will need to pay 50 dollars to get one from Lenovo. Lesson learned? Next time I buy a new computer, the first thing I would do is to reformat and reload the computer by using the image while still under warranty. I did several times with my other Lenovo laptops without fail. I have to do this once every 3 years each time my computer seems to slow down. This is the first time, it didn't work.

I hope this help anyone who is in the same situation.
