• Why DW modifies the proportions of the image?

  EACH image that I put on my pages in Dreamweaver CS4 comes out of proportion, if I use it as a background within a div.

  I've tried to filter all my photos in a collection that has a general portrait of the proportions, but LR is all wrong.

  

  As you can see, there is a mixture of landscapes and portraits even if the portrait is filtered.

  I tried to look at some of my other collections and see if it was an isolated issue, but think that I have the problem here and there.

  Even if the dimensions in the EXIF info on the right indicates 3456 x 2304, LR think that the image is square.

  Could I do something wrong here or could I help LR somewhere along the way, or is this a bug any? I use LR 3.3 on a Mac with Mac OS 10.5.8

  One thing: portrait vs landscape assessment should be based on the cropped size, IE if you re - crop it should re-classified - what do you see?

  (1) I can't just drag and copy an object more

  (2) I can't resize an object and its setting selecting just. I can resize the frame only (not proportionally, however, doesn't matter the number of keys that I use!). Not the object it contains.

  I work with INDESIGN CC 2015 latest version (I've just updated) and on MAC OSX Yosemite 10.10.5

  I regret the money I spend each month to pay for these programs.
  Whenever I update them I have 1000 problems.

  I don't know even how to replace the preferences that I don't know what I should replace. And sorry if I sound stupid, but when you have to deal with a stupid task is what is happening. I refuse to understand.

  I think they were all preferences.

  @Rob: I used command-Shift and it always works when the black Selection tool is active. By selecting and dragging to create a copy of the object.

• nested sequences change the proportions of clips under them

  First Pro 6.0.5
  Mac Book Pro retina

  See the attached screenshots:

  1. nested sequence is off - everything below is is crunchy and good aspect ratio

  2 nested sequence is over - all under it is blurry and bad aspect ratio

  3. only the nested sequence is on - so you can see that it does NOT contain the layers below by mistake

  Why is this happening?  It's really disturbing... This happens usually when I make my sequence - it goes all haywire proportions wrong when rendering with transparent nested sequence above all.

  Sigh.  I thought about it.  These are my pains of the transition from FCP to Premiere Pro.
  Apparently the regardless of the default settings I had rendering changed somehow the proportions of my original clips.
  I have re-jiggered rendering in the preferences of the sequence parameters, and the new renders a snippet you want on-site.

  So it's not a bug squarely in the first, more just a user error mixed with some default settings in rendering first clumsy.

• InDesign cs6, commented on, non-proportional transformation

  I use a lot of my guides. I found that when I go to turn a picture using the direct Selection tool and the command-shift function, the scale is not consistent on x and y axis (they must be identical). I have assets 'constrain proportions '. I tested without them being active. So far, it seems the only time wherever I can recreate the problem is when the guides are active.

  -osx 10.8.3

  InDesign - cs6 (cloud subscription)

  -smart guides on

  -turn the window open

  -limit the active proportions

  -direct selection tool

  -Select the picture in a block with the direct Selection (white arrow tool) tool

  -use SHIFT + cmd and drag across, repeat (small and large areas)

  -repeat several times and watch the horizontal and vertical percentages in the processing window. percentages will be inconsistent after a few attempts

  does anyone else have this problem?
  can anyone else recreate this issue?
  Anyone have any suggestions on one fix (other that turn off smart guides)?

  InDesign - cs6, go to Preferences > guides and table mounting

  -go to 'smart options guide

  -Disable "smart dimensions" and "smart space".

• Proportions of Android

  I'm trying to create the portrait page and landscape without borders on Android, is this possible at all? When I set the size to 1232 x 752 I see black borders on my Motorola Xoom (1280 x 800), I tried all combinations. If I set 1280 x 752 without visible boundaries, but for the portrait I should put 800 x 1252 and I can't add this page because of bad proportions.

  Either way, for iPad, it is 1024 x 768 it works in two modes, Yes, I know that iPad a 4:3 ratio and Android is 16:9, but he sit possible to have pages in two modes without borders? If you have had any success, please reply with your page sizes.

  If you create dual orientation folios for XLarge Android devices, you cannot avoid the small black bars on the edges for the reason you mentioned - the two layouts cannot have different proportions. This problem does not exist on the iPad because there is no navigation bar of 48 pixels to design around.

  Personally, I wish that the viewer cropped background pixels 48 design rather than scaling the content so that the designers could simply create folios of 1280 x 800 and factor in a "security zone", but this approach would create other problems.

  If you can not use non proportional fonts, then forget about having any special alignment, because with proportional fonts, room occupied by each letter is different.

• Blue screen and bad RAM memory?

  My MBP 2011 early all just stopped working yesterday, it worked very well without any problem of performance for the last 5 years, and then suddenly a blue screen (of death) and it has problems starting.

• External display on HDMI overheating my Mac and drains the battery badly

  Hey guys.

  I am using a MBP retina 2012 15 inches with an external monitor, a generic LCD 1080 p via HDMI without problems. And recently updated for Sierra.

  The question starts immediately when I plug it into the screen. The Macbook seems to overheat and run fans above 4000 rpm, which is very audible and boring. CPU and GPU temperatures go above 70 degrees C (normally they make 50 +). The battery holds for only 1.5 hours, generally works well for 4-5 hours.
  I tried killing all apps, followed a bad process in activity monitor, changing default resolution - nothing helps so far. The CPU is barely used by 10%, the memory pressure is fine.
  It's just that time when I plug the screen - Mac starts bad feeling. Never, the problem occurred on El Capitan. Maybe it's a GPU problem, but certainly caused by the OS.
  All the world had the same problem?

  Try resetting the NVRAM (hold down the command-option-P-R on startup).

  Also, try to restart in Mode without failure, then normally again.

  Finally, try logging into your account, sign in to a user account (or the guest account) and connect the external display. Same problem? If it works fine for a new account then it's something in your own account which is the cause - perhaps an element of connection or some other system changes induced by the operating system previous and who does not play nice with Sierra.

  Don't know what's happening, you do not give a lot of information, but if you have the constant beachballing (spinning wait cursor), which could mean that the hard drive is dying.

  Open Console.app in Applications > utilities. Filter, called "String Matching," right, high enter "I/o" without the quotes. What happens when you do this?

• Bad video card - last ditch effort

  I'm 99% sure this is my video card that is causing this problem.

  Started a few days ago the screen filled with red pixels randomly, it could get worse over the next few minutes, and then the computer was completely insensitive - had stopped the clock and the mouse does not work yet.  I was able to ssh from my laptop, but cannot open applications and reboot via ssh wouldn't work, had to hard - reboot.  After having let it sit for awhile, it seemed better, I was hoping it was a stroke of luck.  Just right tonight (a few days since the accident of 1), he began acting again... bad.  I tried to run the Apple Hardware Test, he could not even done that - she's blocked (at the forefront in the screenshot), the mouse still worked, but even after half an hour, neither the time nor progress bar update.

  I have a NVIDIA Quadro graphics card, I'm not sure that is because apparently they only give information on the card itself.  I know that it was very expensive.  Tomorrow I'll try cleaning all the contacts on the map and the location of the motherboard.  Beyond that, all I can think to do is to buy a new video card.  Is it possible to fix a video card, or is it simply not feasible?  I can also try to put it in another location, to see if that solves (which would indicate that the problem is on the motherboard, rather than the map, but I doubt that will solve it).

  I removed the video card all together, the system is not is more locked up (so far), I am able to use via my MacBook screen sharing, and everything seems good function... which pretty much confirms for me, it's the video card (or slot) that's the problem.

  Does anyone have suggestions until I leave shell $500 on a new video card?  This expenditure could not have come at a worse time...

  I don't think I need anything too serious for a video card, I use Final Cut Pro.  I installed also just Apple Motion (literally, one day before all this crap started to happen, it seems strange that it could be related, but the time is quite a coincidence), and I join with two dual-link DVI ports.  I'd be curious to know if anyone has recommendations what video card to buy.
