Use of broadband

I have problems with my Internet Service providers, BT: and I wanted to clarify something.

I have a MacPro: a model 1.1, connected to my router with an ethernet cable.   As I write, there are two "extra" internal drives

One of the disks is storage for my movie collection.   Other stores my (much larger) collection of TV shows.

When I want to watch one of these, I copy into my iTunes library: THEN watch them on my television, through my 3rd generation Apple TV.

Recently I know it shouldn't count against my limit broadband.

Only movies, tv series and music I download on the iTunes Store would count against my limit broadband.

Nothing on my home network should.

Am I right to believe this?

Yes.

  • Use of broadband - Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom;  and request for bridge

    Hello

I recently picked up a subscription to creative cloud for Photoshop and Lightroom.

First question: I use bandwidth every time I have to edit an image in Photoshop?  Or is it just on bandwidth for the download/installation of the original application?

Second question: there is a menu option in Photoshop to browse in Bridge.  East bridge of course included in the subscription of Photoshop?  Or bridge needs to be purchased separately.  If so, what is the cost in £ GBP.

    Thanks for your help.

    Fiona

    Hello Fiona,

The bandwidth of your Internet connection will be used only for the initial download of the application. Rest depends on where you download any other stuff from the internet or not.

Work on an application that requires not necessarily the Internet.

The bridge is a part of the plan of photography.

(What applications are included in the plan of creative photography Cloud?)

    Kind regards

  • Satellite M30 - impossible to use broadband wireless sky - WPA not suppprted

    Hello

I have laptop Satellite M30 and I can't use wireless broadband from sky as it says: "your network adapter does not support WPA" what should I do?

    Prasad

The error message "your network adapter does not support WPA" says it all!

The wireless network card installed in the M30 does not support encryption WPA WLan.

To resolve this problem, you can buy and wireless network card that would support this WLan encryption.

I think the easiest would be the use of external USB WLAN which supports the WPA!

  • Quick questions of FPGA: Broadband Division vs Multiplication implementation (rounded)?

    Hi all

I'm trying to implement a simple routine where I divide a FXP by number 7 to the FPGA. I wanted to use the broadband division, but it seems only to round to the nearest integer even if the output is capable of representing fractions. Otherwise, I can multiply my number by 1/7 using the proliferation of broadband and I get what I want. I'm not too familiar with arithmetic FXP. At least without understanding the problem, I have a solution that is to use the multiplication. I just want to know a little more. Can someone please shine an idea on why the division rounds even if he can manipulate fractions?

    Thanks for your help

Somehow your obtained initial indicator set 0-digit precision for display formatting. This means that the data are indeed correct and there, but the text format of the on-screen display rounded to the whole number.

Any ideas how this parameter has changed?

    Maton

    Hi Matt,

This forum is for MSE who cannot restrict access of Web site you want.

One of the possible methods that comes to mind uses the Parental http://www.windows-help-central.com/parental-controls-in-windows-xp.html may control with Windows Live Family Safety http://explore.live.com/windows-live-family-safety?os=other (according to the version of XP and whether or not you have a workgroup or domain LAN).  When you set up, allow *.gov, but reject all other types you can imagine (I don't think there is a way to allow only .gov, but you can exclude most if not all of the other busiest - check domain name registrars to get a list of options).  If you use a domain, way to go would be with a custom domain group policy to restrict access on all of the network (except perhaps the server or individuals of special category in Active Directory if you want).

If that is not the case, and I think it might, please repost your question in the following forum to get the expert assistance you need: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-networking?page=1&tab=all.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Try a laptop through a desktop computer wireless network. Office uses a USB plug for internet access.

I would like to access wireless internet on a laptop (XP; Atheros 802. 11 b / g) with a desktop computer (Win64) that currently, I connect to the internet using a broadband USB connect the device (AT & T USB Mercury).  How can I build a local network of the desktop that I'll be able to connect in the House with the laptop?  Are there restrictions and limitations when using this type of internet connectivity vs a wired version?  (Because of where we live there is no availability ADSL or cable, just wireless).

    Hi Mseibolt,

Thanks for posting. From your post, it seems you are trying to send a signal from your desktop to your laptop using a wireless signal wireless. It is here that I don't see where you have any broadcasting wireless signal from your desktop. If this is the case, then the current senerio would not possible to establish ICS and have it function to your laptop.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.

  • Problem with VPN connection via a wireless card broadband Verizon Cisco VPN air

I can't access any device on my network via RDP or applications via the host file - forwarded servers from my 64 bit Windows 7 laptop using wireless broadband Verizon and customer VPN Cisco 64 bit 5.0.7.290. I can connect easily via a LAN wired connection from home using the same laptop computer and client VPN and RDP.

The VPN client connects to the server VPN (easy VPN on Cisco 2821 router) on the broadband wireless connection (I can see it in the GPMC on the router) but it will pass no data. I can't ping anything in the field, or external IP address. When I try to ping the laptop, it drops off the VPN (completed peer connection).

The laptop is a Dell M4500 running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit OS. The VPN client is stated, rev 5.0.7.290. The card internal wireless broadband is a QualCom 5620 (EV-DO-HSPA) system (Gobi 2).

What must I do to get this configuration to perform and log as does the wired connection?

    The Systems Manager

Post edited by: Timothy Carlisle recently I discovered that the Cisco 64 bit client VPN running on my Dell Precision M6500 (Windows 7 64-bit OS) was able to connect properly using the WiFi on my iPhone 4S (Verizon Wireless). It will also connect when attached to the laptop via a USB cable. Once I discovered this, I was then able to do the same thing on the laptop that spawned this discussion, by attachment for Blackberry "BOLD" from the boss after the download and installation of a new Verizon Wireless Access Manager utility that has allowed to select the device (Blackberry) for installation.  I think that enabled us to bypass the wireless cards Gobi2 on two laptops and the factory installed Dell Connection Manager software which was not compatible with the Cisco VPN 64 bit client software. As much as I fear here, this new method (hotspot of Smartphone and attachment) is the way to go for us and has solved all the problems of connectivity distance for us. Thank you to all who have contributed to this discussion.   Tim Carlisle

The Solution to the debate has been captured in this Document: -.

    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/docs/doc-18721

We fought with the same question for quite awhile before finding that there seems to be a default setting in the Verizon Access Manager software that plays well with the Cisco Client.

In VZAccess Manager, select Options | Preferences.  Connectivity options, the default setting for "NDIS Mode - connect manually" was chosen.  Change this option to "Modem Mode - connect manually" seems to have completely addressed the issue.  We can now connect to the WWAN, establish a Cisco VPN session and have connectivity.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Forum of the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

Windows displays the error message before you restart the computer?

The problem is specific to the USB Huawei device?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
Using the troubleshooter from network in Windows 7

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

If this does not help, then follow Microsoft Help article in method 2.

    Method 2:
    Wireless and wired network problems

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/network-connection-problem-help#network-problems=Windows-7&V1H=win81tab1&V2H=win7tab1&V3H=winvistatab1&v4h=winxptab1

Then, if the problem persists, use method 3.

    Method 3:
How to reset TCP/IP using the NetShell utility
